have had for some time now and never had a problem in performance or set up it was simple to set up and use very good price and more then happy with product

We have a many problems with this router. This router is probably not fully compatible with GateWay laptops. We have 2 gateway laptops, 1 XP and 1 Vista. The router is in the next room and signal reported as strong, but the connection get dropped all the time. On the Vista laptop, once the connection dropped, we cannot reconnect, but have to reboot or disable/enable the wireless driver in Device Manager. Another problem is that YouTube video won't play correctly. Videos will play for a few minutes then hangs. This also happened to our desktop which connected by wire to the router.

The automated installation procedure does not work in Vista. It took a call to Belkin customer service, a call to our ISP, and a second call to Belkin before we could get it working. The second Belkin rep was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. Once we successfully completed the installation process, the router has worked just fine.

The router was shipped with factory fresh packaging. No doubt in my mind this is a new product. I had some confusion on setting it up but the suppliers support team helped me and within a few minutes the router was up and running along with my laptop. I would highly recommend this product.

Easy to setup. Doesn't have every advanced feature but if you need a simple, cheap wireless router - this is the one. I am having some trouble staying connected to a Linksys music bridge device. Need to restart router at least once a day. Other than that - it's been working great.

The included quick setup disk worked great and I had our wired and wireless computers sharing a cable modem in less than 15 minutes from the time I opened the box. Setting up MAC address filtering was a bit of a pain as the DCHP client list is slow to refresh, so I just entered the MAC address in manually from a list I had saved previously. I was able to manually change the SSID and security key to match my previous router so I wouldn't have to reconfigure wireless clients with new keys. WEP and WPA security work as they should. Wii and Xbox wireless no problems. The antenna is not removable, so you can't replace it with a directional or higher dB antenna that would have the usual SMA connector. Smooth transaction and quick delivery even with the Free Shipping option.

I got this for a great price. It was very easy to set up with WPA2-PSK security. No problems at all. Only thing I wish it had that it lacks is an updater for dynamic DNS servers.

The router is good but is a bit costly for its value. Gave problems initially with wired and wireless connectivity. Need to restart the router again and again...it reduced a bit after I fixed number of wireless ports allowed as given on belkin site...but the problem still exists...I wish router auto-restarts itself every day...but unfortunately the feature is not available....

Nice little router. 10 minutes of leisurely installation and I have it firewalled and ready to go. My Wii recognized it right away and works great.

This is a great value; I have installed a few of them. Anyone trashing this router doesn't know how to configure it. (For ex., Comcast requires you to clone the first machine's MAC that connects to them. Belkin even provides special Comcast help on the support page.)None of my installs have ever "crashed." Of course after power failures, they have to be reset. After an electrical zap, I sent one back (LIFETIME WARRANTY) no questions asked, and got the latest model. They support their products. Many wireless devices don't work under WPA (like Lexmark printers), so that forces you to use WEP. It may not be the router.

I was not expecting the ease with which this thing insalled - I had waited a couple days to tackle it until I had a lot of time available. But it only took 10-15 minutes to have it up and running. After the pain I had with my previous Linksys router I was quite surprised. I have not yet installed the security features so maybe that's when the pain will start. I just hope I haven't jinxed myself for future problems by talking about how good it is so far. Apparently it's not as fast as some routers but it's as fast as any I have made use of at motels, wifi spots etc.

This Belkin wireless router was an extremely reasonable purchase. It works great within its range. I gave it a 4 for performance as the router signal does not seem to go through outside walls very well.

Been use this product for more than a month now. So, lets dive in and see the pro's and con's Pros ---- 1. Took me 5 mins to install on XP and Windows Vista, couple of clicks 2. Very easy user interface for setting up your network (even for newbies) 3. Sufficient rage. It covers an standard 2 bed room house. 4. The Cost. This thing is cheap!! Cons ---- 1. Some times the wireless connection , is connected by you do not get internet. So you would need to reset the modem and wireless router (this equipment). Though this has happened only couple of times in the month I had. Hope this helps in making your decision!

I have Hp notebook with Vista home on it. Going by other reviews, I called up the customer care and it turned out to be a peice of cake to set up. Extremely friendly customer care, none-the-less! It's been up for about 15 days now. No issues at all and I get good signal strngth in every corner of my 1 BR apartment.

...the directions gave some conflicting advice, so I called customer support, and they couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. Especially since I was working with a brand new computer and type of computer for me. Had me up and wireless in under 15 minutes. I've only had it for a few days, but it's working flawlessly, from anywhere in the house. I'd buy another one in a second if the need arises.

I am not a tech person and since I have Window Vista that wasn't tested when this product was out, I wasn't able to get the internet connection on even though I have followed the easy step by step instructions. However, when I called Belkin tech support, they were very much helpful. They stay on the phone with me and told me what to do step by step. And finally I was able to get it installed nicely. The product has a nice small design and very light. Since I installed it yesterday, it has performed good so far. Definitely worth the price.

I am a college student that knows how to work with computers but i am definately not tech savvy. I have set up a couple wireless networks in the past, both linksys, and this is the easiest one to set up so far. It was simple and easy. It works well with both vista and mac. I have been dropped from the network for a few seconds a few times in the month that i have it, but i can get back on. My worst experience with this router is being dropped for 5 minutes (but i plugged in and was on the internet just fine until i got back on it). This product is no worse, quality wise, than any of the other more expensive G routers.

I bought this router because it was the cheapest wireless G router from a name brand company and received decent reviews. I agree with complaints about the visibility of security information. I have used D-Link in the past and their features and security are better. I circumvented the security issue by not transmitting the name of the network (a name no one would guess). The router is in my roommate's room on the other end of our apartment. Its transmit strength is very good at this distance of 50+ feet even through closed doors. I do not recommend this router to non-tech savvy buyers, but if you know what you're doing, it does the job just fine.

For the money, an excellent deal. Very easy (for this non-computer geek) to get up and running. Had a Belkin before, but after several years, it ceased to work. I knew the product was a good one, so I bought another. Much less expensive than a linksys and does the same job.

I purchased in the past many wireless routers from different vendors. Some of them can be tricky to install when it comes to security features. This router is extremelly easy to set up and offers a nice html interface for advanced settings that is quite easy to use. I love it. It has been working with no problems for 2 years now and I just installed it in a friend house and it is working great.

I got this router for my girlfriend's apartment complex and have been very satisfied with it. I have a VoIP phone at her house that connects to my office and with me turning off the firewall the phone worked just fine. I didn't have to do any port forwarding or anything so that is a major plus. The browsing speed on the Internet is also very fast and the range is great. If you are looking for a good router for your house, this is the one you should get. The price can't be beat and it will last for a long time.

I bought 8 of these routers for rental condos. Set up was a breeze, took me less than 5 minutes after I installed the first. I hate equipment that make you install applications to set them up. I didn't have to install a thing. Just plug in to the wall outlet, modem, then computer, and you're done! I did go into the setting via my browser to enable security. The condos are small and I don't need much range, so I didn't test that.

The router is priced well and works decently after firmware upgrades, except for the router's internal DNS cache which seriously kills web browsing performance. You will be happy with this unit if you are proficient enough to manually configure your computer to use your ISP's DNS servers instead of the router's.

I bought this Belkin wireless router for my new labtop. It is very compact in size and for a little over $30, I think it is a fantastic product and provides reliable wireless connection. I've used this for about couple of weeks now and didn't have any dropped signal or any other problem. I wish the unit has some more weight (it is very light) so that when it is sitting on desk it won't move. I also like Belkin's 24/7 technical support whenever you need help. I needed to call them several times due to lack of description how to install/map between multiple computers using Windows Vista. Overall, this seems to be a great router and I DO recommend to everyone.

I'm now on my 3rd one and even with a new version and firmware this router can not stay connected to a simple comcast connection all day long. I can't go more than 24 hours before it crashes for no reason. All 3 of these had this problem, this is complete garbage. I rarely would tell anyone spend $10 more, but I would say that here.

Easy to set up, I made the mistake of a wrong selection in the set-up porcess, call the help desk on a Sunday morning, phone answered in 3 rings, knowledgable, patient tech help walked me through and it worked. Less than 30 minutes from opening carton to surfing even with mistake included. Product signal and speed feels the same as the cabel connection.

I bought this and some range extenders to bring wireless to wired media items that otherwise could not use wireless. I use it as an access point, not a router. I generally get good performance ( Application needs a solid 10 mbs) but get an occaisonal dropout. I have sysadmin experience, so setup was no problem. I wish it had two antennae.

THIS ROUTER IS A RIP OFF. YEAH IT MIGHT BE A GREAT VALUE BUT IN THE LONG RUN YOU WILL PAY MORE! I WENT THROUGH 2 OF THESE ROUTERS NOW AND I NEED ANOTHER. I WOULD JUST SPEND TEH EXTRA 20 BUCKS AND GET A QUALITY PRODUCT!

I got this router to use the "Wireless Bridge" Feature. I have an earlier version of this belkin wireless router (apparently that was recalled - it still works fine). Wanted another wireless router/access point to use the wireless bridge feature. Worked like a charm. Did not use the CD for configuration. Plugged it in and manually configured. Easy to use and nice small size. Installed as follows: 1. Converted the older belkin router to a wireless access point 2. Enabled wireless bridging in both systems 3. Make sure they are on the same channel (ssid name was also the same - not sure if that is a requirement). 4. Disabled wireless security. 5. Enter the Wireless MAC address in the configuration page of each other in the configuration page. Make sure you select the wlan mac id versus the lan mac id or wan mac id. 6. restart and power cycle - they are connected

I chose Belkin over other brands for 3 reasons: 1)Ease of set up. Occasional problems were noted in reviews of other brands and in talking to friends. But never with Belkin. 2) Lifetime warrenty. My experience with Belkin has been that they truely back up their products and want to get the replacement out to you asap. They dont care about the sales receipt or age. Just the product number and the problem. 3)Tech support - 24/7. This router was set up and functioning on all my laptops in about 4 minutes. Coverage in all parts of my 3 story house is perfect. I would stick to Belkin products when possible.

I followed all the directions included and didn't even remove the Yellow Warning Labels...my problems initially stemmed from my cable modem is connected to my desktop via an Ethernet connection..this unit required an USB...I then tried my laptop to setup and configure the unit but my CD Player croaked...then I went to the website to download the driver and it wouldn't load properly...after about an hour I gave up and re-packed ready to send back......the BAM came up with an great idea...forget the directions just plug everything in and hope for the best.......IT WORKED PERFECTLY...maybe the directions should read ..Step 1) Plug in you cables Step 2) pray for the best Step.3) if step 1 & 2 don't work read thru directions and pull your hair out!!!!!

I did have some problems with the setup. When I switched the network cable from the internet to the router, it wouldn't connect. I needed to reboot my laptop and then get back into that part of the setup. Otherwise pretty easy. Range is OK. Located in basement, barely reaches my 2nd floor office. Operates great. Good value.

Thanks to marketing hype, I've become a tough reviewer of computers and peripherals, but I have a hard time finding anything bad about this router. I only had to install the drivers/software once and the wireless network was up and running. The security features are ample (WPA, MAC filtering, no-broadcast mode, etc.) and easy to implement. Range is ample for all but the largest homes, and there is no noticable decrease in throughput to my desktop. I was lucky enough to get the router from buy.com for only $30 w/ free shipping, making it an exceptional value. Don't waste 2x-3x the money on "pre-N" routers; until the N standard is finalized and becomes mainstream, this router should serve you well.

I can't say enough about this router. I first had a D-Link router, but you had to be a rocket scientist to install it. Then got a Linksys but couldn't get it to run with any security. Got the Belkin and ran the CD easy install and had WPA security and was online in 5 minutes. This is by far the easiest and best router out there and the price can't be beat.

Simply put this is a great router for the money and is very easy to install. I had it set up in about five minutes and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I would highly recommend this router to any one looking for one.
