...I found this quickcam one of the best. And again, I don't own a lot of cameras, but this camera is just fun to use. Software that comes with it is just amazing. I did not have any problems installing it, just follow on screen instructions. Works fine with Skype, MSN Messenger and Yahoo!.

The logitech camera was easy to install and I was recording quickly. The only concern is that it doesn't seem to mount on the laptop or LCD monitor; it just seems to balance. Maybe there is a solution that will provide a more secure mount. Anyway, it is a keeper!

Bought the camera and installed it on my laptop. When I was trying to use it , my laptop started crashing giving a blue screen. The same thing was happening on other laptops also. I had to get the help from Logitech team to resolve the problem.They helped me to fix it. Now it is working fine. Cam and microphone is also good. Product is working good but I don't know why it gave problems earlier

This webcam works great with my Apple Mac Mini. I use it with Skype for full video conferencing and Yahoo Messenger (which is limited on the Mac to the other person just viewing your webcam - no audio). It can be used to capture video/stills with various applications too. Initially there was a problem with the mac Mini not recognizing the USB built-in microphone but with the Mac OS X 10.4.11 update, all is well. I have not upgraded to Leopard as yet.

I have no complaints with this camera. I use it with Skype to communicate with family. It isn't the newest technology. For example, it cannot do the High Def video calls on Skype, but then again, I don't have a dual core processor, so I wouldn't be able to anyway. If you're looking to buy this camera, make sure you're not paying full retail price. Look for a rebate, as many are out there, not only for this camera but also for higher end Logitech webcams.

I needed a webcam to video "visit" with the grandchildren that live in a distant city. I was not sure how this was going to workout, so did not want to invest a lot of time or money. During a Buy.com/Logitech promotion I bought the Logitech Quickcam Fusion. It has proven to be an excellent choice in meeting my need. The video images are clear with excellent resolution. The audio is clear and allows conversations almost like being in the same room. The automatic lighting adjustment and face tracking features are very useful. The webcam base design is especially effective and allows easy positioning on top of the monitor. The little extra amenities such as video effects, winks, etc are a big favorite. Although we do not frequently use other features such as take photo, record video, etc, they work great. Setup took longer than expected due to mic issues that I eventually discovered I had overlooked selecting the webcam mic during setup. The webcam has been very reliable, and has allowed us to enjoy our video "visits" without the aggravation of faulty technology. Highly recommend the Logitech Quickcam Fusion.

The installation is okay but has some issues while using with XP Pro (SP2). Sometimes the camera freezes and other times the camera stops functioning. <BR><BR> Positive feedback - Better web camera compared to other offerings. <BR><BR> Areas for improvement - Camera freezes often and on other occasions stops functioning.

This product works really well, and is a lot of fun. The image gernerated is clear, also the light and sound technology works well. However there is a lag in the video generated, as is expected, when processing and transferring over USB. The video effects are fun, and work reasonably well. On value I rated it a 4 based on retail price, however I was able to get it with a rebate for $35.

I bought the camera for my desktop running XP Pro. As the install went forward, error messages never experienced before started appearing, and the setup program did not recognize the camera being connected in the usb port. After removing the program and starting again, the same thing happened. I kept going and the camera finally worked, but my sound system would not respond to anything--including attempts to mute or change volume. Worse--other programs began exhibiting error messages that eventually slowed the system to a halt. Efforts at getting support yielded no response. I had to do a complete system restore. After that, everything--except the camera that had been removed--worked perfectly. The conflict seems to have been with the sound card, a problem experienced by another reviewer. But the problem effectively crashed the system. I did install the camera on my laptop and everything went as it should. If it had been intended for the laptop, it would get very high marks. Since the laptop was the fallback, the 3 represents a generous average.

My quickcam faces me with a window in the background, so when it's bright outside it has a hard time getting the right exposure. The right-light feature helps, but the quality would be better with light coming from a different direction. The software works okay under XP and Vista, although it takes a bit of time to get used to and it's not quite as flexible as I would like. Overall, the thing works pretty well.

This is a great webcam! I read reviews of several different different brands and individual webcams and became convinced I should get a Logitech. There was a good rebate going for this one, so I ordered. I have not been disappointed. The image and sound quality are great and the software is easy to use with lots of functionality. After having tried 5 webcams over the years, two of those being produced by Logitech, I was a bit skeptical. Lighting was always an obstacle with Logitech cams that I had tried. But not with the Fusion.The automatic settings were right on the money. I didn't need to manually tweak a thing! There are so many things to like about this cam. The autofocus is the primary reason I bought this cam. It's impossible to manually focus a webcam, unless the cam is nearly in your face. Not only is the auto focus great, but you can zoom,and tilt, via software controls, and NOT by touching the cam. You can also set it to track your movements, so if you move back or forward or side to side, you stay automatically in focus. The cam sits on my thin laptop monitor without any problems. I really am thoroughly pleased with this cam. Easy to install and easy to use. I just hoped it would have come with a protective case, so I could store it in my laptop case without worry. But, I'm sure a digital camera case will work. Great cam, great buy, with or without a rebate!!!

Product was received in a timely manner. Setup was easy and could use it right away. Quality is very good for a webcam, but don't expect miracles. It's still a webcam. The face tracking and RightBright technology work well. The microphone works well on its own as long as you don't have your speakers on. You have to use headphones so that there isn't echo. I have not been able to get Video Effects (Avatars) to work yet, which is a software issue.

I purchased two of these webcam's a little over a year ago. I bought them so that my mom could enjoy more time viewing all of the fun advancements of my 1 year old boy. She was able to see him the day he started walking, talking, etc... We use it with MSN messenger and it works great. It's just so fascinating to be able see and hear people you know in such clear picture and sound detail as if they were actually visiting your home. We have ours hooked up to our laptop and can take it upstairs, downstairs, outside or wherever our wifi will reach. We have also taken it on vacation with us to keep in touch. For business trips I borrow my mom's webcam so that I can say goodnight to my son even though I am not at home. I am writing this review now because I just purchased six more of these cameras, since the rebates made them so cheap, to give to my wife's parents and my brothers and sisters. The benefits that we have had in owning this camera and the additional interaction that it has provided for my son has far outweighed my expectations when I first purchased it. I highly recommend it for keeping in touch with family and friends.

I purchased this webcam for my daughter and was visiting her at her home when the product was delivered on time. It was an easy installation and had the opportunity to show my daughter how easy it was to work. I do feel that she will have years of enjoyment using this product and we will be able to communicate online via live webcam.

The first webcam I purchased was in the early 90s and I can definitely say that the product had a lot to be desired. I gave up on it finally and decided to try again with the Logitech Fusion. The product is easy to use, clarity is great and compact. In fact, I liked it so much I ordered another one for my daughter!

- Video quality is good but when using with yahoo messenger quality is OK. - Good integration with MSN Messenger. - Microphone is good when recording video but when using with MSN Messenger there is a little bit of echo. I tried the "cancel echo" setting but it still didn't fix the problem. - Regular video recording quality is good, both video and audio. - photo with this webcam is not that good but i have a separate camera so i won't be using this to take pictures. Overall, it is good webcam but i wouldn't pay more than $50 for this.

shipped fast and performs as expected. compared to my othe webcam (quickcam pro5000), video is a little worse and audio is a little better. Not a big difference though. Stable software and overall operation.

I bought this one for my IBM laptop. But it's a little bit shaky to place it on a laptop. But it's ok. Other wise this item really rocks. The voice & picture quality in low lighting condition was excellent. Video recordings came out very well. I liked it very much. I had some install problems on Vista Business but you can overcome it through logitech support through their web site. It's not an issue anyway. I would recommend others to go for it.

Bought 2 webcams and this is by far the better of the two. The other was Creative Live Ultra and it was very pixalated compared to the Logitech. Wish I bought two of the quickcams instead!

One of the best video camera available in the market, picture quality in not the best but its better than most of the cameras available in the market, the inbuilt Mic is the best part. I can do a voice chat even if i am different room but you will need to raise your voise a little bit fo that. 100% satisfied buying this camra.

Despite some reviews to the negative, I still bought the Fusion camera for use primarilly with my overseas family in Ukraine. Well, I am very pleased to say they report GREAT performance with near match voice to mouth performance. The camera adjusts to the light in the room well and the interface is simple when using Skype or AIM. I haven't used it with other applications. My biggest complaint is that I cannot get the emoticons to work (special faces) at ALL and can find no info on what could be wrong.

I've had many webcams before. Although this has many "extras", the best thing about this camera is that it adjusts to low light situations. The room I have the computer in gets very dim at night, and with my previous cam, I've had to play around with the positioning of the lights to get a clear image. This camera will actually brighten the image so that the picture is clear even in low light situations. There are some other neat extras, such as the ability to track your face (digital zoom) and using avatars instead of the real image (kind of neat, but I can't really see a good use for this). Overall, this is the best webcam I've bought. Definetally worth the money if you use Skype a lot.

Considering the price after rebate, this is a good value. I had some problems in the beginning under Vista, but an uninstall and reinstall of the software fixed it. Could have been something specific to my machine, but everything is working good now.

I purchased this mostly to send videos of the new baby to grandma. Here are a couple of observations so far: 1. The camera needs a lot of light for the picture to look good. 2. The camera is not good at capturing fast motion, even in bright (indoor) light. 3. The software is very straightforward and easy to use. 4. The microphone doesn't seem to be as good as the one built into my laptop. 5. It sits on top of my CRT monitor fine, but does not attach to my laptop at all from what I can tell. What about a shipping two mounts? 6. Video file sizes are significantly smaller than my camera makes, but the camera looks a lot better and handles motion a lot better. Overall, I find it to be acceptable in actual use (which is sad as it is supposedly one of the best), and a great deal if you get it for a discount.

Since Apple doesn't make iSight cameras anymore, I got this one for a 12" Powerbook running Mac OS 10.4.9. We plugged it in and it worked beautifully with iChat right out of the box. Price after rebate is excellent too. A great cheap solution for Mac users who don't have a camera built into their computers.

Bought this camera for myself, my wife and my Dad. My brothers and other relatives have purchased the same. It's easy to use and the quality is good. It's not HDTV, but for the ease of setup and use with Skype, we now have picture and sound and we all stay in touch wherever we are. Highly recommend it, especially with Skype.

The camera provides top-notch video streams for video conferences. The software has many advanced features (face tracking, auto-contrast, etc.), but comes at the price of high CPU loads. Please consider this when you have an older PC. The software is a little over-engineered and crashed very few times. This includes one blue screen of death immediately after the installation (on a freshly installed Windows XP!). But most of the time it runs stable enough. The mount for the laptop screen is the most unsatisfactory part of the system. It sits more on top of the laptop screen rather than being really attached to it, so that it falls off very easily when the laptop is moved around (or even the screen angle is changed). Bare in mind that all buy.com reviews have a default setting of the highest score "5" which may push the reviews up for reviewers who forget to select correct numbers.

This is my first webcam and I bought 2 for $50 each after the rebates that were available. I did extensive research and read all the reviews I could find and found this was the perfect fit for the price. Setup was super simple and everything works great. I now talk to to my wife in England every night while she is traveling for work (I'm in the US). You won't be disappointed with this camera.

This easy to operate webcam offers excellent wide angle viewing, every good low light operation, and a built-in microphone that at a distance of 16 inches really works, no echo and very sensitive. The digital zoom works, but at the cost of clarity, as you would expect. Would like to see more feature rich software next time.

Video and Audio are great! Once I figured out how to install the drivers, operation was easy. Echo control is excellent. My one recommendation would be to revise the design so the webcam stores more compactly, so it fits nicely in a flat storage pouch, or in a laptop travel case. All things considered, this Fusion Webcam is a great improvement over webcams of 5 years ago!

Here it is in a nutshell... Easily ordered and processed online... Suprisingly quick delivery... Webcam is easy to hookup... Software easy to install... Directions minimal, but easy to follow... Great video and audio from webcam... Haven't had to use headset and microphone. The webcam's built in microphone works fine... Bought one and liked it so much, I bought 2 more for gifts. Everyone is very happy so far and I'm seeing and hearing them great online. I highly recommend this webcam...

Logitech did a super job with this camera. It has great color resolution, a number of cool special effects (if you like that suff) but best of all - it worked out of the box with the video component of Skpe. You can find 'em cheaper but not as good. The form factor - for traveling - or with with a laptop is 2nd to none.

Have now purchased two of these because of the quality of the voice and picture. I do not use the avatar features as this is for talking with our son in Iraq and with family members in other states. The ease of installation is the greatest. The best performance is obtained with higher CPU speeds, anything above 2.3 GHz appears to do the best job with USB 2.0. This unit integrates well with MS Outlook e-mail while some of the other e-mail programs require saving your message to a file and then attaching it to your e-mail when using the video e-mail feature. I found that this works best with MSN Messenger and allows for some great audio-visual conversations. The face tracking for 1-2 persons is some of the best that I have seen. This really is a great little camera and will serve most users very well.

Talk to loved ones accross the country. It works great with the new 7.5 release of MSN. Full screen mode and all. Video quality were great. Running on cable connection and laptop with 1GB ram and on a wireless access point. I would recommend this item to anyone and already have to our entire family. All who see it are amazed at the quality and performance.

If you can snag it for around 50-60$ this is a great find. My only complaints are the software at present time for the visual effects avatars is a little wonky still.. but it works.. usually. I'm also not a big fan of the software which "always runs" in Windows background. Even if you turn it off, when you use your cam it turns itself back on. So a little bit of a resource hog. Three processes for one cam! Also, its a fixed lens cam so deffinately not good if you move your cam around a lot (ie notebook). If you stay a certain distance and its within the prescribed distance of the manufacturer (you have some leeway.. im about 1-2 feet away and its very clear) it can get a little pixelated. It works flawlessly with MSN, though. I've used my Fuji Finepix camera as a webcam as well as an older Quickcam Web and this just puts them to shame. The right light feature is amazing. I can turn all my lights off.. see nothing in my room in the cam.. except me... perfectly. Even doubling the video size in MSN remains crystal clear. I'm gonna buy a few as christmas gifts for friends. I hope this helps

Got this webcam a few weeks ago when my Quickcam Orbit quit working (video still great but mechanical settings stopped working right). Anyway, I like this one a whole lot better! Easy to set up, video is extremely clear, voice quality is terrific, and I love the fact that the focus is NOT static. When set on Face Tracking (1 or multiple user tracking), not only does it keep you centered but it will zoom and return as well. Haven't used the video effects with anyone yet but looking forward to it. I did some price shopping on the web as well as locally and Buy.com had the best price (lowest) and shipping cost (free).
