My son bought this mini home theater system to connect to his laptop and TV at school. At first you think that a system this compact would deliver inferior sound as compared to larger systems. But we were totally wrong! This system gives a great bang for the buck! My son's dorm room with this system sounds like a concert hall. Plus when he plays his video games with the system, it sounds like you are actually in the game! I highly recommend this compact great price system. Buy.com also had the best price.

Value: 5 because I got it with a rebate that put it at $80. Among the competition of $80-100 speaker system this one by far is the best performance and value. Performance: 4, don't have much to compare it to and I use onboard 5.1 sound so I can't give a fair evaluation. I'm pretty sure, for more money of course, you could get higher performing speakers. However, to date, these are the best speakers I've ever had. Ease of use: 3, overall the ease of use was good. However, I did have issues with the way these speakers are setup and to be fair these are issues that apply to this type of speaker system in general. First the speaker wires are permeantly attached to the speakers which to be is a big no no. Second, the speaker wires were too short, obviously this is related to the first issue and it makes things difficult for those with larger rooms or want to spread their speakers out. Lastly, almost not worth mentioning, but the center speaker doesn't have wall mount screw holes, I would like to have mounted in on the wall. Overall: 5, you really can't beat this deal even without the rebate these speakers are very competitively priced. If you are looking for upper range of mid-range and good performance all around then you can't go wrong with this sytem.

I'm using an X-Fi Fatality sound card with these speakers. It doesn't matter if I'm playing games or listening to MP3's, these speakers are nearly as good as my home theater speakers!

Great system overall. Sounds crisp and the system is easy to hook up and set up. Sucks that the speakers are pre-wired, and very short. But that's an issue for Logitech. Seems silly that they wouldn't use traditional speaker wire hook ups. Anyway, I managed to set up the speakers fine with a little inginuity. Also, they are not lying when they say "Patented dual chamber subwoofer pounds out twice the bass of conventional designs." The bass is rediculous. Probably too much for most, even for me, and I love bass! All in all, for the price and especially if you're lloking for out of this world bass, I'd recommend the system.

The 5300's were a HUGE step up from my Boston 2.1 speakers. I could not be more happy with the sound quality and the price that I payed. As always, they were shipped promptly and safely. The only disappointment I had was there is no control to boost the sound output of the rear speakers like there is in the 5500's. Great deal, nonetheless.

This Logitech surround speaker system is brilliant! Setup is easy, the speakers are compact (except for the hefty subwoofer) and the room-filling sound is superb. The sound quality will satisfy everyone from the casual movie viewer to the most avid gamer. Overall, a great buy at a great price. I heartily recommend this system.

I bought this for my 18-yr-old daughter and she couldn't be happier. She said it feels like you're in a moviehouse with these speakers. She had priced these and definitely knew Buy.com had the best around.

Excellent Speakers. The Subwoofer is very powerfull did have to turn down all bass settings to calm the subwoofer otherwise excellent sound. Well worth purchasing. Only no Optical Input otherwise easy to setup.

Ok, if you've read all the other reviews, this one's probably going to be in the same ballpark. First of all, these speakers can get VERY loud. I mean, they ARE THX certified. The sound is crisp and clear and the bass just shakes everything. The only problem I have with these speakers is that the subwoofer is sometimes too powerful. What I mean by this is that a song would have heavy bass and the subwoofers would reproduce it up to the point that the treble is non-existent. Don't get me wrong, these speakers are an amazing purchase for the price that it comes with. Just be mindful of where you live and whether or not people in your building will complain of ground-breaking bass.

These speakers are great quality for a very reasonable price. I only had one issue setting them up and it was a problem of compatibility with my sound card and Windows Vista, so no fault of the speakers.

All in all, I'm very pleased with the speakers. My biggest issue is that they work best at high volumes. At lower levels, you either get too much sub or not enough central volume - so you are forced to jiggle with the volumes of each output as you change the overall volume - and that doesn't seem to fix the subwoofer issue. A minor quibble at best - these speakers aren't made for low level listening. That said, when they are at normal to high volumes, they absolutely rock. In RB6 Vegas, the boom from gun fire and explosions is simply awesome. WOW's sounds come out great all from around you.

Absolutely amazing sound! I am first year college student and I blew out my old speakers in the beginning of the year, they were Altec Lansing. I wanted to buy a set of speakers that would sound great and last at least all 4 years. I have had these speakers for several months already and I have nothing but praise. The bass is ridiculous. The bass makes my mouse move if I don't hold onto it when I turn it up and I have had items fall off my shelves and my windows in my room rattle. Speakers are crystal clear with a lot of power and richness. . I highly recommend these speakers for computer system. However I warn you, once you use these speakers you can't really go back to using stock computer speakers or laptop speakers. It's very disappointing when you go back.
