5 of 5 Another good one Monday, March 17, 2008 Deborah from Sugar Land, TX
I liked my old battery so much, I replaced it with the same type. It has the number of plugs I need. I have spoken with Technical Support once in the past. They are absolutely fantastic. The person had so much patience while I was under my desk rooting around wires. I have always used APC UPS products. You cannot go wrong with APC. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Super BackUPS Power Wednesday, January 23, 2008 A Customer from Long Branch, NJ
The APC BE750Bb Back-Ups Es Usb 750Va with Phone & Coaxial Protection was a very good value from Buy.com, including its price and the free shipping. Setup was very easy, the instructions were very clear, and the software was a snap to load.

5 of 5 I plugged it in and it works Wednesday, January 16, 2008 Scott Lindner from Colorado Springs, CO
It's APC, how else can you go wrong?
UPS's are a hard product to rate. They are pretty boring devices. In fact, when they are working properly you don't know they are working at all. I guess more on that, I suffer brown outs in my office due to our power hungry laser printer when it warms up. Sometimes with my old UPS it couldn't trigger fast enough and my computer would shut down when I printed. This hasn't happened yet with this APC UPS. I do hear to click over to the battery when I print. Each time it happens so I guess at least the brown out protection works. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product at a Great Price Thursday, November 29, 2007 A Customer from Tampa, FL
This unit will support todays modern dual core PCs and, most if not all, the core peripheral equipment.
The automatic shutdown is a great feature which you can customize at which point you would like it to shut down, once power is lost.
Also, once its running, it provides an estimate of how much battery backup it has based on the load that is connected.
Lastly, it records every incident when power has been interupted and the unit has been invoked. Overall satisfaction is great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great price for peace of mind, and Mac-friendly Thursday, November 29, 2007 George from Kent, Ohio
I picked one of these up after my idiot downstairs neighbor was fiddling with the fuse box. Just losing work is bad enough, but small outages can cause problems to your equipment as well. I already had an APC surge protector outlet strip, so this was the logical next step.
The product also includes surge-protected outlets; note that only half of the outlets on the device are battery-ready, the other 5 are surge-protected only.
After plgging in my Mac, both monitors and external backup drives (and plugging the device into the USB), I rebooted and had a few probs with the installed software - was causing weird wake/sleep issues. Visited the company's website and found a newer version of the software and all works great.
The device will even appear in the OS X Energy Saver preference panel, which actually has better options than the manufacturer's pref panel. As a bonus, you can then turn on the battery monitor in your Mac menubar, just like a laptop!
The settings let you precisely customize how the unit will preform during battery power - a big plus for tweak-geeks like myself.
To be honest, I have no idea of this thing actually works as I have had no power interruptions or outages since purchasing. Another one of those security items you buy but hope you never actually need to use it.
A 'real deal' surge-protector-only power strip (not those $5 extension strips) will cost about half the price of this item, but with free shipping (this thing is HEAVY, and larger than I thought it would be) it's worth the added protection for your expensive computer setup. (*** None of my paragraph breaks showed up in the review preview, honestly I didn't write this as a run-on paragraph if it shows up that way!***) Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 A must-have for every computer owner Friday, June 01, 2007 Mark from Hannibal, MO
Anyone with a computer should have this backup. Not only does it protect you computer during a power outage but it also protects against surges as well. You just never know when the power will go out and if it does so while you're on the computer then you could risk losing some files or even have problems getting Windows to reboot when the power comes back on. With the software that comes with this backup there is no worry because the software will automatically shutdown the computer safely when the battery power is getting too low. I would recommend these to everyone. I would not run any PC without a UPS to protect it. Keep your data and equipment protected. Was this review helpful?
