Logitech X-530 Multimedia Speaker System - 970114-0403 - Minimum Quantity 3

It would be a real challenge to find a better speaker system for the price. I am thoroughly satisfied and impressed with the sound reproduction that is full, deep and crisp across the spectrum. I have them set up in my living room along with a big screen as a home theater system and they work great in this setting. In a room that is 18' x 22' they produce more than enough sound to rattle things. Even my girlfriend (who is legally deaf) thinks they are TOO loud at times! If I was to nitpik, I would have to say the supplied cables were the only drawback. The cables were not long enough to allow for the desired positioning of the rear speakers in my living room. However, two six foot extensions from the Radio Shack down the street took care of the problem easily enough.

The Sub-Woofer failed after 14 Months. I verified it by connecting sound input to the "IN" at "Sub-Woofer IN" on the sub-woofer itself and there is no sound output. Logitech has a 2 year warranty, so I will see if they will honor it.

I bought these speakers and it took 4 days to get to me even thou it said it would take up to 9. that was awsome. I put them on for my computer and they sound just great the subwoofer sounds purley amazing for the size. i highly reccomend this system and any other logitech product, great company.

Great sound for a Great price. I bought this system for my college dorm room and you can hear it clear down the hall. the bass sounds really good. the rear speaker cables are a little short but you can buy extensions just about anywhere. that is the only problem I had. I definately recommend it.

I bought this speaker system after reading through a lot of reviews on various websites. The first thing i thought of doing after i fired up my speakers was to take a video and post it on this review to show how freekin powerfull the speaker system is.....the Bass coming out of the Woofer is awesome. When about 65% of full volume my apartment starts to rumble, so the only time i can use more than 65% of the volume is when my neighbours are awake. These speakers can also be used in outdoor parties. I primarily use this to watch DVD Movies with my DVD player...i must say my movie watching experience has gone to whole different level.....I am very satisfied with this product.

Bought this back in October 2005, didn't know much about it, but the price at the time couldn't be beat. I'm so glad I did buy it, it's been awesome. Games, Videos & Music CDs sound awesome. I prefer listening to this than my stereo. Surround sound is amazing. I highly recommend this.

First off - great service from Buy.com - I ordered these speakers on a Sunday night a little after 9pm and they arrived Tuesday morning a little after 9am - FREE SHIPPING and NO TAX and a very discounted price compared to retail stores - WONDERFUL! Second - the speakers are a joy. Very easy to set up and likewise easy to mount - rear speakers only need extensions to place them where you want them. I had a sound card but I took it out my system to give a listen to the SoundMax Digital onboard sound and truly didnt notice any difference in sound quality so I returned the soundcard. The sound from these speakers is wonderful for the money - you cant go wrong. 70watts RMS is absolutely enough power for the average user. You will need to do some fine tuning with your software graphic equalizer to get your sound exactly right but once you do you will find the sound completely acceptable and enjoyable. I am using these speakers with all my electronic components. They are connected to my HD/LCD televsion which also doubles as my computer monitor - also hooked up to my dvd/vcr combo and high def receiver both of which are capable of dolby digital and SRS - I have all audio outs from the various compenents going to the tv/monitor and using the adapter that came with the speakers, I just have them plugged into the headphone jack on the tv. Its that simple and it works like a dream. Music sounds full, rich and textured and dvd's sound like I'm at the theater especially in DD 5.1 I'm very very satisfied with this purchase and for anyone thinking about getting them don't think - just buy - you wont be disappointed - GREAT BUY and GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE!

It is small but very powerful. The quality of sound is excellent. I am using it with my DVD player, Laptop, iPod Nano and SanDisk mp3 player. For connecting to iPod, mp3 player and Laptop, i bought one Audio Cable so as to get output from all the speakers including subwoofer. Though the quality of output was not that much good from iPod, but from Laptop it is very good. Bass is a little bit more when compaed to Creative Systems. Overall a very good system for the price.

for the price, this system packs a lot. i've got these hooked up to my dvd player and my computer, and i couldnt ask for a better system. these blow away my friends' systems who spent a LOT more money.

Honestly this was one of the best deals I ever bought. I only need to fill one room with sound form my PC so I did not need to buy a super high end sound system. I purchased this on a friends rec and I am more than pleased. The sound is great and more than acceptably loud when I want to hear it from the kitchen. Great deal!! get it if, like me, you mostly just want to hear your music in your office while working.

Truly speaking, I was little disappointed when I saw the package size. I thought speakers (especially subwoofer) with that small size would not be powerful enough, but I was wrong. The bass produced just amazed me. Really good speakers, recommended!

Let me first preface this saying I am by no means an audiophile. I just bought a new computer & wanted to upgrade my speakers so when I am watching movies I have much better sound than the little speakers that came with the XPS 400. I ordered these on Tuesday, they were at my door on Thursday afternoon with the free shipping option!!! Talk about speedy delivery. I love FEDEX. Came inside larger box with paper filler - so it was package fairly well. Hooking them up was pretty simple...just match colors. Had some trouble with connecting to my pc (7.1 integrated sound) because the colors didn't match, but played with it a bit and got it up in less than 20 minutes. After adjusting Media center to allow 5.1 speakers...good to go! Tested them on a couple of electronic tracks, punk, rock, & a movie (V for Vendetta)...for me, the experience & sound quality is very good. I keep it at the lowest setting so as to not overpower the satellites. For those of you that love bass...well, then these are definately for you. The rear speaker wires are short for my setup (maybe 8' each?). Front ones are also shorter but if you keep them on your desk like it recommends, you'll be fine. Gonna run to radio shack & get an extender for the rear. Overall, for the price, I am more than satisfied. My first Buy.com experience was well above par. If you are looking for cheap 5.1 with pretty good sound quality, get these. If you've got the cash to spend on a more expensive digital setup, then go for it. One caveat - make sure to remove the plastic cover over the sub hole...I was like WTF, my sub is busted! Then after checking it out, I removed the plastic cover & all was well! LOL!

I'm sure there are better ones out there, but they are more expensive. Bought these speakers about 9 months ago and have been really satisfied with. This set just sounds great. Bought it from buy.com when they were having a special on this item and got it really cheap. The subwoofer has an adjustable bass setting knob and when turned up, you can really feel the bass.

Great Speakers. Hooked Up very easily. My only complaint is that the rear speakers both left and right have very short cables.Also a remote control would have been nice. But this package was definately worth the money.

I have just recieved my order and finished hooking it up to my playstation 2 with the adapter I bought from logitech. It is the best sound system you could buy for under a hundred dollars.The sound from the bass is incredible it makes the floor shake and the 5 other speakers make you fell like your actually in the game the sound quality is just that phenomenal!!!

As I listen to my Musicmatch Jukebox playing through these speakers on my 5.1 PC system I am more than pleased with my purchase. I eventually will integrate them into a home theater TV system which tells you how much I like them. They donot compare to a $500 to $1000 speaker setup, but I did not expect them to. I do however recommend them to anyone who has similar expectations of a economical set of PC speakers. They beat all of the tinny two speaker sets I have tried. The Sub Woofer responds great to my DFX addon with Musicmatch Juke Box.

So i just got my speakers and couldnt wait to plug them in. My laptop, which i bought them for, is being repaired so i couldn't plug them in to it just yet, but i did plug them in to my television and whoa!!!!! They sound just as good, if not better than my dad's very expensive surround sound system in the living room! I heard sounds from movies and cd's that i had never heard before, and it (the sound) seemed to be all around me. I love these speakers and how fast they were delivered. If you are looking for good quality speakers with a great price, you should definately get these!!!!!!!!!

I like these speakers. I go them today. Three things - one important the other two.. eh not a big deal.<br /> <br /> 1. YOU NEED A 5.1 SURROUND SOUND CARD IN YOUR COMPUTER!!! if you just have a regular plug in the back where you put in a single 1/8" plug then you are only getting a 2.1 system - the rears will not work!!! Think about it.<br /> <br /> 2. Rear speaker wires... are long, i would guess 12' BUT, do yourself a favor and measure. I haven't tried yet, and I don't see why it wouldnt work to do so, but I am going to buy two extensions (RCA FEMALE TO MALE 1/8") cords so I can get these set up where i want them.<br /> <br /> 3. This thing comes with a nifty adapter so you can port a regular red/white rca connect to hook up a PS2 or TV or whatever HOWEVER the rca cable is NOT included so, in the case that you are pluggin these into lets say a headphone jack and you want the surround get a RCA Y connector. This has the RCA connect on one end (white / red) and a 1/8" stereo jack on the opposite.<br /> <br /> All in all the sound quality is great. Get a decent sound card with some tweak ability and you are in business. GoodLuck

"Its Awesome"...If u haven't already buy this product then u are missing its great value..The sound, the performance, the price everything is perfectly matched with my satisfaction..People are saying the wire is short its true but u want the sound to be heard and i can hear the sound like i am in the Movie Theatre...amazing..buy it before the price goes up...

Wires too short? no way. The speakers are great, this product is an excellent investment, the price is low for a speakers set like this. The sound quality is incredible. Buy.com is an E X C E L L E N T store, you save $20 over BestBuy & Frys. Trust me.

These are the best speakers to get for people that are on a budget. If i could change one thing i would make the speaker wires longer. The sound is great for 70 watts, the value is great, very easy to use. From the time i placed my order, they arrived in three days!! You may have to adjust the volume of the middle speaker in your speaker control center. I will definatly buy from buy.com again and i have!

Lemme tell you one thing- you won't find better speakers for fiftty five dollars. However if you're not a cheap person like me you might be able to dish out a extra hundred or so to find a stereo system with longer wires! I have a medium-sized room and the rear speakers don't even reach the midway point. The two front speakers are less than four feet apart! Overall these speakers are great for the value...

I've been limping along with 2 channel PC speakers for years, but after seeing the reviews on the X530 system and the price, I had to order. Delivery time was 1 day w/free shipping (due to same-state), setup was a snap after I upgraded my sound card and the audio is pretty amazing for these size speakers. Hooked everything up in no time and played a variety of MP3s - am very impressed with this system. You will NOT be disappointed...best value you're gonna find.

I have to tell you that for the price you can't go wrong. I'll start with the cons: 1) Everything connects through the right front speaker and the wire to the sub is a little short in my opinion limiting positioning of the sub, not terrible but a negative just the same. 2) No bass or treble controls, but a good sound card fixes that. 3) All wires are hard wired so you can not upgrade your wires or extend if needed, the wires for the rear speakers are pretty long though, but I really could of used about another foot for my left rear speaker. 4) No tweeter which limits your highs, but again a good sound card can ALMOST overcome this. Pros: 1) Price, Price, Price. Compared to more expensive speakers these are actually better. 2) Although this system does not have seperate bass and treble control, the sub has a bass level adjustment that works pretty well and the overall quality of the bass was extremely surprising, It does have the ability to rock a small to medium sized area. Overall: Extremely easy to set up! With this system I can actually say that you definitely get more than you pay for. Buy these speakers with confidence.

I had a similar one of Creative for my other computer. But Logitech proved just superior than the other one. Less distortion, very clear and sharp. very nice product for what I paid at Buy.com and I enjoy it every day. I wish to give the rating 10 but could give the max 5.

Finally installed the speakers last night and I popped in a Music CD and I was very impressed. Played some Doom 3 and was blown away. I have a Creative SB Live! 24Bit Sound Card. Excellent Speakers, Excellent Price & Excellent Quality. I highly recommend these speakers, you can't go wrong.

Got this for around 30 bucks. Definitely a great buy. Still see this being sold for $79 at Frys. Of course, need to invest a bit more in a decent sound card to really enjoy this. Hooked this up to Creative USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX and I have a mini home theater that I can watch DVD movies in DD 5.1 sound. Even my mp3 files sound better on this. Blows away my $150 JBL stereo speakers. When it went on sale the second time around, bought another set for my friend. Great gift for any PC user.

amazing speakers for a cheap price. The sound so clear and the surround sound makes a pretty big difference rather than if you were to buy just 2 speakers and the sub. The sub is very powerful for its size and can be too powerful at times. You cant say anything bad about these speakers although some of the speaker cords can be too short if you have a big room. Other than that for 55 dollars with free shipping from buy.com they are AMAZING and you cant beat them for the price.

THE BAD: First Saving the best for last: The wire/cable is too short for the front control speaker. My computer setup is on the left side of my desk and I prefer the speaker control on my right. Had the control cords been only one foot longer it would have been fine. THE BASS THE BASS is simply too thunderous at the lowest setting and distorts when you only turn it up to 25%. FIX? Using your software equalizer you need to lower it a little to Jive with Mids and Highs. THE GOOD: THE BASS THE BASS how can I hate it and love it? Well after you tweak the settings as told above and position it so it has a little clearance: keeping it at least a foot away from all walls including your computer desk walls, it then performs better but you still have to keep it at lowest setting. I have not seen this kind of OOOMPH from a bass of this "SIZE" and price-range ever. It is also the best looking BASS (nice metal grille) I have seen in the $$ range. Although this system does not have true designated tweeters they do manage to emit the highs rather well with the satellite drivers. OVERALL sound rating: 9/10. No speakers in this pricerange are near perfect but for the $$ Nice Going Logitech!

Even the computer illiterate can find their way around this system. On top of all the great sounds you will get from this, it is also multipurpose. You can use this with your gaming system of choice and even your DVD player. Therefore, you can amplify your favorite game or movie and feel like you are actually in the thick of it. I read before buying these speakers that the subwoofer put out too much bass even when turned all the way down. I figured the people who wrote those reviews must just not like a lot of bass. I was wrong. I listen mostly to hip-hop and I like heavy bass, but in an apartment complex with thin walls, I'm forced to turn the sub volume all the way down, then adjust the EQ in Winamp just to get the bass down to a volume that won't piss the neighbors off. That said, it's a minor annoyance that can be fixed by tweaking the EQ in whatever audio/video app you use... these speakers are still an outstanding deal, decent 5.1ch sound for a ridiculously low price.

I purchased these speakers on the advice from a good friend. My old creative 5.1's died, and I was short on cash to replace them. A good friend had purchased these when they were on sale for $35, and he loved them. I ordered a pair the same weekend my old ones died, and had them within two (2) days. The sound from these speakers is simply amazing. They are ten times better than my old ones. My music, movies, and games all have a new sound. I was surprised by the sound quality in my games over all. I am a hardcore gamer and love sound, and these by far feed my need bullets ricocheting and engines roaring.

purchased with a buy.com discount during their special as i was looking for an inexpensive way to get into a 5.1 speaker setup. logitech's product is very nice and i'd highly recommend as an entry level setup for dorm, casual users and budget minded people. as for buy.com, this is my third time purchasing and while each time i've been very pleased with the product and price point they offered, i can't say this about their customer service or their lack of communication. i'd be extremely hesitant to purchase from buy.com on any time sensitive needs.

i bought it seeing the deal. the output is ok. THREE of the satellite speakers (TWO REAR AND ONE FRONT-RIGHT) doesnt work. and the major problem is the BACKGROUND NOISE which is VERY HIGH. I am not very satisfied with the system. (i could have bought a better THREE PIECE system for the same/lower price)

Compared to how much other electronic stores are asking for the same product ($100+), $60 for the speaker system doesnt get any better. I have already received my shipment and i cant be any happier with it. I like it so much, im consider buying one more because this is a bargain price.

I already have one set of these I paid more than twice the price for. They are smooth, accurate, with little coloration. The volume they produce is quite acceptable for most situations where you'd be using a PC. I even use it for monitoring recording (low end multitrack stuff). The performance seems to be more aimed at gaming and theater than music, but they work well for recorded material too. One complaint: The headphone jack is straight through; meaning the volume control of the PC sets the volume of the headphones. It would have been nice if it controlled the level of the sound when you plugged in your headphones. At this price, buy two or three sets. They'll work wonderfully with a lot of different sources with an adaptor or two. :)

this system was cheaper than my last creative 4-speaker system and are much much louder. i'm still baffled how these speakers are so loud and crisp when i paid less than $40 for the whole set...wow pros: sound is loud and crisp speakerbox looks great wires are very thick and rugged 5.1 great for gaming or DVD very inexpensive cons: volume controller is attached to the speaker subwoofer vibrates heavily under lowest setting 2 thumbs up!
