2 of 5 Ease of battery replacement is not accurate Thursday, July 31, 2008 mitch the geek from Littleton, CO
It claims that the battery can be replaced without any tools. Not only is this not true, but Belkin technical support, after 25 minutes on the phone they never did figure out how to replace the battery. They seemed committed to reading the directions (which I also had) which are clearly wrong. IF you do use a screwdriver to remove a screw , then you can replace the battery. They never did figure it out. This is fairly typical of my experience of Belkin's off shore technical support, which would not be very positive. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great for Sat TV, broadband & WiFi Monday, July 07, 2008 Gonzo Geezer from Usually in Sector "R" after curfew
I purchased this to protect my satellite receiver from power drops. A split-second loss of power was sufficient to force the receiver to reboot, a 5+ minute process. I also added my broadband modem and WiFi router for uninterrupted network access.
A good product at a great price, thus the 5's. My only complaint is it is a bit bigger than I think it needs to be, thus the 4's. The 'beep' when the power switches is only momentary (for me). Looking back, I might have opted for a larger unit to add my flat panel monitor to keep watching TV trough the blackouts! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product...annoying beeping (fixed) Monday, March 31, 2008 jwgraves from NJ
Great product, but the constant beeping drove me and my family crazy.
I decided to open the baby up, locate the beeping device and remove it.
Beeping gone.
Now an even better product.

5 of 5 Works like a champ! Monday, March 31, 2008 Arian K from Midwest, USA
I just had a circuit breaker blow three times (until I figured out what was causing the problem!), but nothing bad happened to my systems. Considering how much I always have running, just having the power disappear is a Very Bad Thing(TM). I recently bought this UPS which is more of a fat circuit breaker strip. It's not all that powerful, but it's more than sufficient to keep me going for five minutes while I reset a circuit breaker. What a great investment! Don't wait until it's too late to pick up one of these... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good product Wednesday, March 19, 2008 Rock from ATX
I own six of these for work and home. I have had some for 7 months or more. They all work great, and have saved my systems from power outages a number of times. The software that come with them works quitely in the back to even shut down your computer if I am not around so that I have a normal shut down.

5 of 5 We can't live without our Belkin Battery Back-up s Sunday, March 16, 2008 northstarvance from Vero Beach, FL
This is the 4th Belkin battery back up system we have bought. It has been incredible for us with the FPL power glitches and outages here in Florida. This Belkin has saved compressors from Air conditioning units, as well as given us the time to shut down our computer without losing anything and not worrying about frying the system! It also gives us at minimum an hour of light if we just leave our compact florescent bulbs attached to it after we shut everything else off. In Florida if you don't have a generator as back-up we've found this is the next best thing for our electrical and electronic products. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this unit a few months ago. It appeared to be working fine for a while. Then one day we had a minor blackout that lasted for a couple of hours and after that the unit would no longer switch to battery. I have actually had 3 different expensive electronic devices completely stop working all at once while plugged into this worthless defective piece of trash. I am still in the process of attempting to RMA it and possibly give it another go. But for the record, if you are looking for battery backup and reliable surge protection... look to the APC 550 I believe it's called, it has 8 plugs, with I believe 3 or 4 provide backup protection and all provide surge protection. I have one that I have entrusted my PC set up to for the last 3 years and I have not once had a problem with it. I regret attempting to save a few bucks and going with the Belkin... in the end I will have not saved money because by the time I pay for the shipping to send my broken product back, I could have just bought a second APC brand model and would not be having this problem right now.
All in all, don't buy it, it's not reliable. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product for the price Friday, December 14, 2007 Arian Kulp from Midwest, USA
I plugged this unit in, and two days later I was already happy. A circuit breaker blew from too many things on a circuit, but *two* computers plugged into it didn't complain! Monitors blinked off since I want all power to the systems, but they're still surge protected. This is probably a non-standard way of doing it (the two computer part), and of course only one system can be plugged into the USB interface to see it as a battery. It works great for my needs though. If you want to plug in more devices to stay on, you'll want to spring for something bigger, but for a single computer with LCD monitor, you'll be set! 5 of 5 This one works . . . Wednesday, December 05, 2007 Ed Wyrick from Athens, GA
I wrote an earlier review about my Belkin UPS that was defective when it arrived. The light would not turn on and provided no juice after twelve hours of charging. The return process was easy. It took three weeks to get a new one. The new one works as advertised. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Home office UPS unit is up and running. Saturday, August 04, 2007 jakedon from Corpus Christi, Texas
Received the unit fairly soon after my order sent in.
Had not problem with hooking up the unit to my home computer equipment. Hopefully it is doing it's job of protecting my equipment. I feel more secure now that I have the unit installed and working.
I pray that we do not have a power outage but if we do, I should be able to save whatever with your unit installed.
Thanks for the prompt response to my order.

5 of 5 100% Excellent! Tuesday, July 31, 2007 A Customer from Cape Coral, FL
I can't believe how many people have NO CLUE as to what a UPS is for. Do NOT plug your CRT monitor into it, Do NOT plug your printer in to it. Come on folks, this is a UPS, use it for what it is designed for!!! When power goes out, who cares if you can't print? I just don't want my computer to CRASH hard. If you want to run your 21" CRT monitor and color laser printer during power outages, for crying out loud - Buy A GENERATOR!
Having said all that - this unit is an excellent buy! It has the same capacity as units selling for $50+. It does what it is designed to do, and the software is excellent as well. It will safely shut down your system, and protect your valuable data. The software can tell you exactly when the power went out, when it shut down your system, and if power was out for a long time; when it shut itself down. Used as designed, I would highly recommend it for any desktop system, laptop, or just keeping power going to your cable modem and router. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good hardware: questionable software Wednesday, July 04, 2007 El from Chicago IL
The unit is easy to set up and the lights are easy to see and to understand. I have a small computer and a vcr connected. I tested it by disconnecting the unit from the electrical socket. My computer and vcr were still alive.
After looking at the software manual (too complicatetd) and starting to install (it just feels buggy), I decided 'NO'...the lights are good enough.
I definitely recommend the unit without the software. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great value, performance and simplicity Tuesday, June 05, 2007 A Customer from High Point, NC
This is the second of these units I've purchased. The first is used as part of my PC backup arrangement, and it has worked flawlessly. When the time came for a UPS backup for my home theater system, I simply couldn't find a better value. Strongly recommended. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Belkins F6H375-USB UPS Unit - Review Saturday, June 02, 2007 A Customer from Roanoke VA

This unit seems to do it's per the test I ran. Was this review helpful?

In SW Florida you tend to be vulnerable to power blips during approaching electrical storms on a daily basis during the summer months. For the two Asus P5W DH/Intel E6600/2 GB DDR2/Samsung 940T monitor PC personal workstations here I use Belkin 900VA UPS units (good units and unlike most have user-replaceable batteries ... they do wear out, just like car batteries) and this F6H375 unit is used for the remote located modem and router (which are just as vulnerable to power blips). Overall, this is a nice functional well-packaged unit with enough extra capacity to prevent a 50W VHF/UHF amateur-band transceiver from hiccuping during any momentary power outages here. 5 of 5 Belkin F6H375-USB 375VA Battery Back-Up with Surge Monday, May 28, 2007 QRM Music from Northern California
Nice lightweight unit great for mobile applications. For instance, if you're a PC-based DJ with external drives like I am and don't want a silly power dip, a kicked out plug or a tripped breaker to ruin the evening and your client satisfaction get one of these. Belkin products are good. It's cheap insurance. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 belkin backup Sunday, April 15, 2007 Dan O'Connor from Springfield PA

5 of 5 Great home UPS Wednesday, April 11, 2007 Will Hoffman from Tucson, AZ
PRO's: Usual Belkin quality. Well-designed and usable. No power failures yet so don't know how well it will perform in action but am confident it will do the job.

I found the Belkin F6H375-USB 375VA UPS to be a decent product. I have not yet tried it under a loss of AC power situation though fully expect it to perform as expected.
One dissapointing note though is that it does not seem to conform to a 'universal' USB alerting standard. Belkin does provide OS drivers that work with he unit however in situations where it is not possible to load drivers the USB comminication link is not established. I purchased this device as a UPS for a Infrant ReadyNAS+ device and it is not recognised as a 'conforming' device. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Nice for the Price Monday, April 09, 2007 A Customer from Englewood, NJ
This works as they described. It is a little bulky, but considering it is a battery back-up as well it is good.
Had it not been for the rebate I would not have purchased it.
I have it next to my home networking panel in the basement and it backs up my cable modem, router and cable phone service unit.
I have not had the power go out yet, but it should suffice. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Value! Monday, April 09, 2007 A Customer from Dover, DE
For a basic set up, this item offers good protection for the money. Compared to the cost of other similar items, this one performas great and is not too much of an eye sore. It is important to note that this UPS is good for basic set ups. If the monitor is too big it will not work as described. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Read the directions carefully Thursday, April 05, 2007 A Customer from Florida
At first the unit appeared defective - it would not power on. After carefully reading the directions it turns out the power button must be depressed for more than two seconds to turn the unit on. After that the unit worked great. The UPS has been tested by two black outs and performend as expected. Was this review helpful?

We have frequent power loss at my building, and these units do a great job of keeping our systems running.
To date, I've purchased 10 of these, never had any problems with any of them. The optional software is nice, too. I use it to page me when power outages occur.
Very handy. For the price, these can't be beat as a workstation UPS. Was this review helpful?
4 of 4 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Best value for small UPS Saturday, November 11, 2006 Wayne from New England
I bought "two" of these: the F6H550-USB for my tankless water heater, and the F6H375-USB for the desktop (Sempron 2.0GHz + 19" Dell LCD for home use). They share the same plastic case, but I haven't opened them up to verify if the surge protection circuitry inside are different between the two. All I can tell is the 375 has a 12V 4.0A*Hr sealed lead acid (SLA) battery, while the 550 is bumped up to 5.0A*Hr. This more or less confirms the Belkin specs of battery backup times of 10 and 13 minutes for the 375 and 550, respectively. It should be plenty of backup time to shut things down, or ride through brownouts and temporary power glitches from seasonal thunderstorms, trees knocking down powerlines, and ice storms in New England. Buy.com has the best deal if you can get the free shipping offer. For the desktop application, I got a tip from an Internet search to let WinXP install the HID drivers and skip the Bulldog software CD that came with it - as soon as I plugged in the USB cable, WinXP automatically installed the proper drivers to convert the power management into laptop mode (with a very short battery runtime). I also set WinXP to automatically stand by when the battery level goes below 30%. The only test I performed was pulling the plug on the F6H375-USB. The battery power level dropped to 68% immediately. It dropped to 55% after 3 minutes, 41% after 6 minutes, and below 30% after 7 minutes. The battery backup time is pretty much on par with Belkin's claims, but it will most likely degrade over time. For this price, it does exactly what I need - place Windows into a safe mode and prevent file corruption whenever the power goes out. Was this review helpful?

Great product for the price. Works very well for a normal computer and LCD, if you have a CRT you may want to step up to a slightly larger unit. Lots of good features, software is very good, closer to what I would expect from an enterprise unit (the only notable missing element is load percentage). I give this unit a thumbs up. Could not get a deal like this locally, item was exactly what I needed. If anything this is better than those crappy barrier strips people use to protect their computer. I used this for protection of some electronics. Size was the main factor as I only had a small space to fit this in. Came in handy during the Hurricane season. Was this review helpful?
