5 of 5 works great.. Sunday, June 29, 2008 mmjm319 from Massapequa Park, NY
I had no problem at all installing this product, the only problem I did have was my fault.. I already had a network set up and had installed a security passcode that I couldnt remember anything about since it was set up about 6 years ago. I called Linksys customer service (since my router was also a Linksys) and they took me thru the steps to recover my passcode, great and knowledgable customer service also!! This product is also great because it is easy to disconnect if you don't want your child going online when your not around!! Was this review helpful?

This small little gizmo sure picks up my wireless signal. I'm an old guy struggling to keep up with technology. This was the easiest, most straight forward install I've ever experienced. I recommend highly!! Was this review helpful?

Bought this for my son-in-law. We agree with other reviews that say it is a breeze to install and works great! Buy.com had one of the lowest price on it also. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Easy setup Thursday, January 17, 2008 A Customer from Eden, NY
Put to use on a pc in the basement. Followed the instructions in the manual and had it connected to my network in 10 minutes. Connecting to a dlink router on the next floor. Still working fine after a week Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Product works GREAT, value is not so great. Thursday, January 17, 2008 A Customer from Palm Desert, CA
I've installed a bunch of these little guys in the past, and with the ones I purchased, they were easy to install and setup. The USB makes it easy to adjust the device's location, so that you can easily find a better signal. It comes with a double-sided tape that doesn't seem to stick very well, so you may want some of your own.
As for value, for the $50.00 it does not have much more range or speed than a cheap little $20-$30 no name wireless G USB Adapter. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Easy to use - 5 minutes to setup... Thursday, December 27, 2007 A Customer from Hartford, CT
Very easy to use and setup, took about 5 minutes. It being an USB device has its advantage, as you can move it around to try to achieve the best reception.
If I were to do it again, though, I might spend another $25 or so to get the RangeExtender (or whatever it is called) version (w/ dual antenna) When I ordered it, I didn't see that being available. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product!!! Friday, December 21, 2007 Rishi Katdare from Jersey City, NJ
This product is great for any computer, especially Desktops with CPUs hidden in a drawer or in a low area (under the desk). The USB cable is long and the product can be attached by velcrow at a higher point. I took exactly 15 mins. to get this working for my desktop. Now all comps in my house are Wi-Fi. AWESOME... no more freaky cables to run anywhere.. floor looks neat now. Just make sure you run the CD first to install the driver and follow the setup instructions. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Easy to configure, but not the best reception... Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Austin, TX
I bought this adapter as an easy way to get my wife's desktop on our wireless network without having to go through the trouble of installing an internal wireless card. The adapter is very easy to configure, and I credit Linksys for including a very straight forward driver. The main issue I have with the adapter is its reception of my home linksys router. When using this adapter, my home network signal strength shows up as a low signal in certain spots in my house. Unfortunately, one of these areas is where my wife's desktop is located, but if I use other wireless adapters (in either of my laptops) at the same location, I get close to full signal strength. My house is not that large (2 story and about 3000 sqft total). The router and desktop are on opposite sides of the house, which will have an impact on reception. Distance between adapter and router is no more than 100 ft., but there are a series of walls between both points, which is something I need to mention to remain objective in this review. However, these conditions do not seem to effect the other adapters I am using in my laptops (one adapter is a linksys card in one laptop and the other is an internal wireless receiver in my IBM thinkpad ). Given the different results from the various wireless receivers that I used under similar conditions and locales, I am led to believe that this adapter does not have the best reception relative to other options out there, and if you are looking to use this adapter in similar conditions as described above, you need to consider this adapter's low level of performance. 5 of 5 Stick with Linksys Wednesday, April 11, 2007 Doug from Houston, TX
I had been having very sporadic wireless connections using Netgear MIMO router and USB Adaptor - connection would just quit for no reason and I had to reboot to get it back. Thought it might be USB driver problems or just various other internal problems causing instability in my system. Was going to try replacing both my router and USB adaptor but decided to just try a new USB hub. I have not had one dropped connection since purchasing the Linksys adaptor and still using my Netgear router. Apparently, Linksys drivers work a lot better. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 So far, so good! Saturday, September 23, 2006 A Customer from Orlando, FL
Had no problems following the directions (i.e. run cd and follow prompts). Configuring was almost unbelievably easy and it seems to be performing seamlessly with the Linksys Compact Wireless-G Router we have. We live in a small one-story apartment so our concern was not so much about connectivity over larger distances but more on how well it would be able to handle the challenge of online gaming. So far, so good! No complaints and lots of gratitude for the pain-free installation. Was this review helpful?
