5 of 5 Excellent KVA Thursday, July 02, 2009
A Customer from Tucson, AZ

This 4 port KVA has worked flawlessly since I purchased. It has saved me from having to buy 3 monitors for my work area PCs. I would recommend this to anyone.

4 of 5 Does what I wanted it to do Tuesday, February 24, 2009
Keith from Minneapolis
Works well, no problems with it so far. the cabling makes it a little bit like a porcupine, but not a big deal. I'm happy with it.

5 of 5 Great KVM Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Data-Pros.Net from Tyler, TX
Great value, we use the heck out of these switches as they are used on a computer tech. bench which is constantly being used. Well tested, hard working! We'll order more.

4 of 5 HotKey is actually... Wednesday, November 26, 2008
A Customer from Austin, TX
This KVM is great, but for one little issue. The documentation states that you can switch computers on it via a hot-key combination. The manual states that you press Scroll Lock twice, then a selector key to switch. I was only able to get it to work that way once or twice in an hour. However, if you press the Scroll Lock key three times then the modifier key, it works perfectly and as described in the manual every time. It is as advertised, a great value for a great piece of equipment.

4 of 5 easy to use but take up space and noisy Wednesday, November 12, 2008
A Customer from New York, NY
This is the best KVM I have had so far. It's very easy to use, work perfectly. Because of the layout, all the ports are surrounding the device. That makes it take up a lot of room. When you switch from 1 device to another, it make a beep noise. I don't really like that. But it's a good way to notify user about the switch.

5 of 5 TRENDnet TK-400K 4-Port PS/2 KVM Switch Kit Thursday, October 23, 2008
WinCrazy from Ambler, PA
I have been using this very model for 4 years now. It is the only greater-than-2-ports switch that works properly of any brand/any model. I sometimes have to hit the Scroll_Lock-#_key combination 2 or 3 times to get it to switch, but the overall video and mouse pass-thru quality is great. The on-board manual port switch toggling function works perfectly, but it's very likely that 95% if users will stick this KVM in a location they can't easily reach. 3 months ago I added a power supply to power the unit so that it did not have to be powered thru the mouse cables (which is no problem), but this did not improve or degrade its use in any way that I could determine (that's a good point). Perhaps on high video resolutions (higher frequencies mean higher power draw) this might improve video quality, but at 1280 X 900 resolution it makes no difference in appearance or operation. Note that if you connect 3 or 4 PCs to this switch there will be a great mess of cables, but there's absolutely nothing anyone can do about this. I suggest mounting this switch low on your wall so the cables don't make quite so much a mess on the floor.

5 of 5 Nice switch Wednesday, September 17, 2008
Lei from Ellicott City, MD
I read the reviews at this website and bought it. So far so good. Pros: 1. it comes with all cables, no additional accessories needed. 2. easy and straight-forward to use. 3. cables for VGA, mouse and keyboard are "fused" into one cable, so it is easy to manage them. 4. never had a problem so far. Cons: 1. there is beep when pressing the switch button, though it is not annoying. 2. cable connecting to both side, so the switch can't be placed at the edge of the desk. To be fair, this may not be avoided due to the size of VGA connectors, unless proprietory connnects and cables are used. Highly recommended.

2 of 5 Not a very stable product Wednesday, July 09, 2008
hemingway23 from Philadelphia, PA
I just received my device. I hooked it up to my two laptops and home pc. So far in one day I have encountered two key problems. 1) using the hot key to switch to devices does not always work so then you have to keep hitting the hot key to get it to finally take or manually switch which requires you to scroll numerically through. 2) I will lose the keyboard on my one laptop when I switch away and then go back to it. To fix it I have to reset the shared keyboard with the KVM switch which defeats the purpose of having it. An additional annoying feature is the tweeking sound it makes every time you switch to a device. I will probably be sending this back. I would suggest avoiding this unit.

All cables came with the package; no additional purchases needed. It works right out of the box. Once you organize the cables, it is out of sight without issue.

4 of 5 Works okay, too bad no audio support Wednesday, November 07, 2007
RGQ from San Gabriel, CA
I've been using this product about a year, and it's still working good most of the time. There are three computers hooked up to this device, too bad there's no audio support for it. Therefore, I have to get three sets of speakers for the three computers. The only minor problem that I have with this KMV switch is that my Microsoft 1000 wireless mouse does not work sometimes when I boot up the computer. In this case, I would have to reboot the computer to resolve the problem.

5 of 5 Save one for me! Tuesday, September 25, 2007
sixowondersen from 'Pennsyl-tucky'
I cannot praise this product highly enough! I own two of these. This switch is far superior to the expensive name brand of which I own one. This KVM is well constructed and reliable, concealable and easy easy easy to operate from my computer keyboard. The video quality is perfect-a-mundo! The cables are flexible and the little screws never seem to cross-thread or bind up :-) Thank you, Buy.com for carrying this product and please please please don't everyone go out and grab them all as I may need another soon. ;-) Yea, TrendNet! My next may be an 8-port jobbie.

4 of 5 KVM Monday, January 29, 2007
B Hill from Columbia, SC
Great Product for the price. The included cable make it an even better bargain. The connections are a little cumbersome and it looks like a octopus with the cable coming out of 3 of the 4 sides. Recommend buying if you are looking for an inexpensive KVM with four cables.
