    5 of 5 Great, low-priced product. Friday, April 18, 2008
    Don from Pittsburgh

I bought one of these for my wife, and it just works, simple as that. No problems, as long as you avoid double hitting the Scroll-Lock key by accident. I bought another for myself, as I sometimes work on old PCs to donate, so I need an inexpensive product that works well, and this is it.

5 of 5 Functional, convinient and inexpensive Thursday, May 12, 2005
    Alex from Providence, RI
This is the second one of those that I buy. I have practically no qualms about this KVM device. It works well, cables are built in, it is fairly cheap. It has an auto-scan mode into which it can go without warning. Don't throw away the manual, or remember that this can only be stopped by pressing space (rest of the keyboard is locked up).

5 of 5 Simple, yet effective Wednesday, April 20, 2005
    TMcKean from Great Mills, MD
I've been using this in a presentation system to quickly attach a laptop without disconnecting the main system. Simply hook up the second system and double tap the Scroll Lock key to swap back and forth. It has a capability to cycle back and forth, but I haven't played with that, yet. Well worth the money. Just bought a second one for my home system to use when bringing my laptop from work or working on a friend's PC.

5 of 5 Sweet Mother of Goodness.... Thursday, March 17, 2005
    EASTCOASTMFER from H-Bomb, Pennsyltucky
there was a desk under all of that hardware... This thing is great if you aren't a serious technophile. I do quite a bit with my desktops and couldn't be happier. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks IOGEAR.

    5 of 5 Nice KVM Tuesday, January 25, 2005

It works great, but the max res is a problem for my 21" monitor. But for most people, it shouldn't be an issue.

4 of 5 Great PnP KVM - if you don't need additional mouse Wednesday, January 05, 2005
    m0pher from New York, NY
This unit succeeded where D-Link's DKVM-2K failed. With the latter, my machines would freeze during bootup, but the IOGear worked like a charm. Just don't expect this KVM to support the additional buttons on a multimedia mouse such as the Logitech MX 510; it will be treated like a standard 3-button scroll mouse.

    5 of 5 Super Satisfied Monday, December 20, 2004
    College Professor from Jackson, TN
I have been using this KVM to switch between my WindowsXP and Linux machines. So far, it has worked perfectly. I love the way it switches between machines by double-tapping the Scroll Lock key. I have just ordered a second one for use at home. I highly recommend this cool little gadget.

    5 of 5 Excellent Product Friday, October 01, 2004
A Customer from Saint Louis, MO
As an IT guy I bring computers to my desk all the time. This has saved me so much time. I can just hookup to my monitor/mouse/keyboard and start debuging. You just press Scroll Lock twice to switch between computers. The product is simple and small. I have a usb mouse with the ps/2 adaptor and everything is fine. I run my screen res at 1600x1200 @75Mhz with no problems. I'm here to buy one for home now.

2 of 5 No mice with USB converters Tuesday, June 29, 2004
    A Customer from Crofton, MD
It seems to work well and is easy to connect but it does not work with mice that have a USB to PS2 converter on them. Most PS2 mice sold today have this converter on them. I verified this on their website.

5 of 5 This one works! Thursday, June 24, 2004
    A Customer from California
I originally planned on buying the Linksys but after reading the reviews about not working with wheel mice I saw this product mentioned. I checked it out and even called the company to make sure that it would work with my Optical Intellimouse with 4 buttons and wheel. They said yes. I ordered. Set up could not have been easier. It works with my mouse and none of the problems some people have described with ghosting on the monitor. I highly recommend this product. Plus they give you a 3 year warranty. The price on Buy.com was the best too. If you need a KVM switch for 2 computers this is the one. One caveat, you need a plug for the usb mouse to make it into a regular round mouse plug. I happened to have one already so it was no problem.

    5 of 5 Best-Breed Technology Tuesday, November 18, 2003
A Customer from San Diego, CA
The GCS62 is wonderful. I like the self-powered format. One less cable! The KVM cables are long enough and the device has worked flawlessly for about 6 months now. I'm only replacing soon because I have a new, third system.

    5 of 5 Superb Unit!! Monday, November 17, 2003
    Paul from Fair Oaks, CA
Congratulations, Finally a well-made unit that works with wheel mice and other special mice. It switches very quickly and provides excellent video with my 19". Although only 2-ports, it is the best switch that I have ever had the chance to use. This unit is #1. I also have the LinkSys PS2KVM4 4-port switch. What a pile!! Please read that review; I hope that it saves someone a headache.

5 of 5 Worth all the money I paid for it ... Wednesday, October 01, 2003
    Norman from Lockport, NY
I occasionally work on (repair) other compters and it was a hassle having to disconnect my main computer only to find that I needed to go online for driver support and the like. Now my main computer stays connected, my work takes less time, and I have fewer headaches. Setup could not be simpler and performance is beyond my expectations. Get it from Buy.com with free shipping. Also there is no sales tax in most states.

    5 of 5 Great Product Wednesday, August 06, 2003
    Phil from Owasso, OK
When working with 2 pcs this is must have "TOOL", I bought it hoping it might be some help. Turned out to be one of the best items I have bought in couple of years. Very simple to hookup, and keeps my workbench that much cleaner by saving the space of extra monitor. I am using wireless mouse & keyboard with ZERO problems.

1 of 5 Doesn't work with Thinkpads or Toshiba laptops Tuesday, July 15, 2003
    A Customer from oakland, ca
It doesn't work with IBM Thinkpads (even using the docking port, which should have plenty of juice at the PS2 port). Also doesn't work with Toshiba Tecra. It says this in the last fine print in the manual. Why the *F* didn't they say this in the item description when I bought it?! Assuming you have a computer this is compatible with, the KVM seems well built and operation is simple and smooth.

4 of 5 Slight screen glitches at freq. greater than 60hz Thursday, May 29, 2003

I think the glitches also killed my old monitor. Sometimes the screen was completely gone. I am not sure it was my monitor or KVM. After I bought new LCD, it works better.

    5 of 5 Works great Saturday, May 17, 2003
    Steve from Austin, TX
I purchased the IOGEAR KVM switch several weeks ago and have been very satisfied with it. It's easy to install and use. Response time is quick and it requires NO additional software or drivers. I highly recommend this product for anyone that needs to control two computers but does not want the extra Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor in their workspace.

4 of 5 Slight screen glitches at freq. greater than 60hz Thursday, April 17, 2003
    A Customer from Phoenix AZ
This switch works great for what I'm using it for, occasional use for controlling two servers in our rack. However, at monitor refresh rates above 60hz I seem to be getting some glitches/blurriness. Not a problem for my application really, but if I was using this full time it would be. I am not sure if this is caused by my video cards, or if it is a limitation of the kvm switch, but if you're considering this for full-time use and your monitor is set to a refresh rate above 60hz make sure you test this within the 30 day return period as you might require a higher end KVM switch.

5 of 5 Never would of thunk it, this thing is great... Friday, April 11, 2003
    Rich from Hauppauge, NY
The ease of use, the video quality, and overall functionality of this item is great. You get no video degradation whatsoever, something you commonly get with non-AC-powered devices. You hit scroll lock twice and you are looking at your second PC. If both systems are turned off and you turn one on, it automatically detects it and enables the keys, mouse and monitor. I would definitely recommend it.

    5 of 5 AWESOME! Thursday, March 20, 2003
    barticus001 from San Jose, CA
I recently bought a Belkin Omniview. It didnt come with cables. Even when I bought the so called gold tipped high end 6'cables the belkin had ghosting and signal degradation issues. I picked up this IOGEAR switch and it rocks! Clean signal, smooth switching between computers. No audiable relay clicking or annoying BEEPing like the Belkin when switching. Its small and almost one quarter the price of a belkin. IOGEAR hands down! Im odering a second one!

5 of 5 Great product for a great price Friday, March 07, 2003
    A Customer from orange, ca
I recently had to replace my Belkin Omnicube KVM due to degrading video on one of the ports. After reading a few reviews on-line I decided to try out the iogear. I was a bit wary of the "integrated" nature of the unit, but the cables are very sturdy (especially the video cables), and it's nice to have the mouse and keyboard cables color-coded. With the Belkin, I had to tape identifying tags on the cables so I wouldn't have to trace the mess of cables behind my desk whenever I had to work on a computer. Iogear claims excellent video performance, and they are correct. On my most demanding system I tried passing the video from the video card to a Voodoo2 card to a RealMagic Hollywood+ DVD card, and the iogear performs nearly flawlessly at 1280 resolution (there's a very slight bluriness which disappears completely if I eliminate the DVD card from the path, which I normally do, as I only use it for TV-out). For the price, it's hard to beat.

    5 of 5 Works great! Sunday, March 02, 2003
    Eric Sooy from Holland, Michigan
I had gone to a local computer store and bought a cheapo manual switch and 2 kvm cables. It never worked very well. The iogear kvm autoswitch has worked flawlessly so far with the exception of a minor logitech mouseware problem (not a big deal). I highly recommend this unit. Compact too!

    5 of 5 Very Satisfied! Wednesday, February 26, 2003
A Customer from West Chester, PA
Most of the complaints about KVM switches seem to be for poor video performance, so I chose this unit more for its supported video resolution and less for its good price. It might be cheap in price, but not in quality. One of the machines I am attaching it to is the one I use for gaming, so if the video was poor, this puppy was getting returned. I hooked it up and it's working great. Image quality is outstanding with an ATI Radeon 9000, and the switch doesn't seem to hinder the card in the slightest. The PS/2 port for the mouse on one PC didn't seem to like the connector for the KVM switch, but I'm going to get an optical USB mouse anyway. The connector is fine w/ other PC's, so I'm sure it's this particular one. Installation was a breeze and getting the switch made my workstation less cluttered w/ one less keyboard and mouse. I'd give this 6 stars if I could.

5 of 5 No more keyboard shuffle Wednesday, January 29, 2003
    Stan from San Diego,
Saw this prduct in a recent Buy.com catalog and new or at least hoped this might be the answer to my problem. Shuffling two keyboards and mice on a desk with limited space was not a major pain but a pain none the less. The MiniView micro 2-port solved the problem in short order. No software to load just plug everything in, its that simple! To switch between computers you hit the scroll lock button twice.
