| | | The Zoom/Modem V.92 PCI is a Plug-and-Play internal modem which is easily installed into a PCI slot of a Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 or XP computer. Performance of the Model 3025 is enhanced by an on-board Digital Signal Processor (DSP) which performs complex modulating/demodulating functions. The DSP provides a more stable system and better performance than "soft" Windows-only modems.
The Model 3025 is fully compatible with all features of the latest V.92/V.44 international standards and will also communicate at V.90 and slower speeds.

ZOOM is the best modem of any I've tried and with built-in surge protection it's the only one I'll buy. I've had my computer fried with another modem. Install the software and it works. Was this review helpful?

Spoke with ZOOM folks about the review on this site re. digital signing of driver. They said: "No problem, ignore it. This model works fine with XP including latest service pack." Apparently the result of not paying Microshaft $gazillion for 'certification' (my choice of words). I'm going to buy one. Was this review helpful?

This was a fairly easy install and yielded excellent performance ... until my new Dell P4 with Windows XP Pro kept locking up. The drivers were flagged as "not digitally signed" for Windows XP and this (after multiple install/uninstall, downloading drivers from Zoom website, etc.)kept it from ever being able to working properly.A great modem, but the drivers are a real Achilles heel.
A different brand of modem with an Intel chip had no issues and works OK, though not quite as fast. Was this review helpful?
