Most consumer digicams can't really take advantage of the faster compact flash cards. Just manually format this card with the largest cluster size and it will accept images as fast as your camera can write. A very good deal for the money with the rebate. Was this review helpful?

At this price I can overlook that it is slightly slower than my other compact flashes. Works well with my Nikon Coolpix 990.

We've brought Kingston memory for PCs before and have always been happy with their lifetime warranty and support. In this case their compactflash also comes with a lifetime warranty which is great! They can even in some circumstances do a free cross-ship which is great. So far it works great in the Canon S400 digital camera we have! How can you beat the $19.99 price ($34.99 - $15 rebate)!? Should get a couple, would make a great Holiday Gift idea too! Was this review helpful?

For the money you can't beat the price for 512 mb of memory. Notice that the picture shows a card that says High Speed. The card that you order is NOT a high speed card. So if you think you are gettting a high speed card for this price, thats not the case. Still a great price.. Was this review helpful?

They use kb = 1024 bytes so here is my statement
This is nice and the filesystem only uses one MB (1000kb). I should be more. Waiting for the SD version (cha-ching).
If they used kb = 1024 bytes this would be an arguement below
0.9521484375 -> 95.21% (rounded) of the card is available. I will attest part of this due to the filesystem. This is still 24.5 MB (by there calculation) that I can not use. This is:
about 1 sec of DV quality video
about 20 track or about 1 album of 3 minute mp3 (good quality)
about 10 3MP pictures on my HP 735
I feel that I am missing a little, but then I will just by another one at this ultra low price. Thank you. Was this review helpful?
