I've owned these headphones for over four years now, and have used them heavily. I work in a cube farm with obnoxious neighbors, and I have the phones on for on average about 6 hours per day, every day of the workweek. I haven't been gentle with them, yet they are still going strong, with no mechanical issues whatsoever. The durability is way above and beyond what I ever could have expected.
The audio quality isn't as good as you'd find in studio cans, but its considerably better than your average active noise-cancelling headphones. As for the noise-cancelling itself, since the phones are passive rather than active, everything is blocked out, not just background noise. Active noise-cancelling excels at blocking out background noise, but does little to eliminate conversations or other inconsistent noises, which almost defeats the purpose of noise-cancelling in a work environment. These passive headphones avoid this critical weakness, and do so without needing frequent battery replacements like active noise-cancelling phones require.
These headphones are virtually indestructible, and they perform as advertized. I've had similar experiences with other Koss headphones, and will never buy anything else. Was this review helpful?

They work very well at cutting down the outside noise and are comfortable to wear for long periods. The build quality is also exceptional. I use them mainly to listen to music while mowing and it's amazing at how well they cut out the noise of the mower. Was this review helpful?

These are the best headphones for the price, period. They are comfortable for hours on end and cancel most of the external noise. I originally borrowed these from a friend when my old headphones broke and then decided I needed a set for myself. The sound quality is excellent and they work equally good on my laptop, home stereo, and even the airplane! I highly recommend these to anyone wanting a great headset at a low price. For what they cost, you can buy them just to try them out and then give them away if you don't like them! Only the truly high maintenance individual will have any problems with them at all!! I bought the headphones to use at my office as I work in a noisy atmosphere. I am very happy with the noise reduction. I can barely hear my phone ring and it sits right next to me!
The headphones are big in size, a little bulky but they come with a long cord and are flexible for sizing. The sound is very good as well.
I had KOSS headphones that I purchased probably 15 years ago and they just recently fell apart from use! I'm glad that I stayed with the same manufacturer. Was this review helpful?

For the price, you can't beat these Koss headphones. They block out enough noise to make listening that much more enjoyable. Having a volume control is also nice. The only issue I have is that there's no left/right label. I'm assuming that the volume knob is on the right, but I haven't tested to confirm it yet. I've worked in Radio since 1981, and have been using Koss headphones since 1979. The durability of their product is 2nd to none and the sound reproduction is absolutely amazing!!!
