When I installed a new Microsoft Wireless Laser Keyboard/Mouse in my multiple PC set-up I had a problem as the new Microsoft wireless receiver has only a USB host connection which would not work with my old PS2 based KVM. I installed the IOGEAR GCS104U and had it operational in a matter of minutes. It is a rock solid performer and it works great with my dual monitors and Microsoft Wireless Laser Keyboard & Mouse 6000. Cosmetically it looks a bit dated, and it doesn't have keyboard accesible switching, but the GCS104U is a solid performer and should be high on your consideration list.
It's best feature is that, unlike the "updated" IOGEAR GCS1714, the GCS104U will handle multimedia keyboards and mice. This is a full hardware switch, there's no software emulation to clog the path between keyboard/mouse to host. Was this review helpful?
