This was a good sounding speaker for the price and if it wasnt for the mounting system I would suggest it. When I received the speakers one of the mounting screws had already fallen into the speaker cavity. Most of the mounting points were loose and I had to superglue them into place. It was a real pain. Once the mounting point goes into the cavity there is no way to get it out. I would have rather spent more money on some other speakers and avoided the hassle. So, unless your putting them on a bookshelf I would buy something else.

exceeded expectations. sounds better than pro outdoor audio i am familiar with. i hope for durability.

I had major problems getting these speakers installed. I basically had to take the speakers apart to re-glue the mounting bolt housing. When I initially tried to mount the speakers to the bracket, the bolt fell out of the speaker into the speaker housing, thus my having to take the speaker apart to retrieve and secure the bolt. I thought this was an anomaly, but the same thing happened with the second speaker. So unless you're handy with tools, then I would not recommend you buy these speakers. Additionally, although Plye has a respected name in car audio, and these speakers have a 6 inch woofer, the bass response is not what I expected. These are decent speakers for the money, but I may swap these out at a future date for something with a larger frequency range and more bass response.
