The trio, comprising Emperor Shiest Bub, Un Kasa, and Don Bishop Agallah, are from Harlem, but their sound owes a debt to the slowed-down bump of Dirty South rap. THE PURPLE ALBUM is the group's 2005 debut, and boasts their brash underground ethos with narratives of gangsta living spun over fairly standard, though nonetheless thumping, beats.
