I needed additional specifications so I could better compare these cables to other manufactures. I called Belkin today and was told these PureAV cables are 1.3 compliant Category 2 cables which means the maximum pixel clock rate is raised to 340 MHz which allows for higher resolution and fully supports 1080p. This is why everyone is so satisfied with these cables, they truly are High Quality and High Performance cables with impressive specifications that Belkin should proudly publish, I ordered 3 cables today. To get the equivalent cables in Monster's brand... you will have to spend almost 3 times the dollars. Was this review helpful?

I purchased two of these cables at FAR under the suggested retail price and I couldn't be happier! i thought the hi-def picture (40-inch Samsung LCD, Comcast digital cable, and Tivo series 3 HD-DVR) looked the same with either the component video cables or the HDMI cable. However, much less clutter with only one cable for the audio and video. Great price on buy.com. I've looked at all the forums and websites regarding the differences in cables and accessories. I just cannot see the performance difference of the Monster cables that you'll pay extra $$$. Also, makes much more sense to check buy.com than pay retail at the BIG retail stores. I was a little skeptical about HDMI technology but there is definitely a difference. More specifically, these cables are great. They're well built and provide a braided design for durability. These are the same cables you'll find in your neighborhood electronic store for twice the price.
In short, if you aren't using the HDMI interface on your TV with these Belkin cables you're selling yourself short. Was this review helpful?
