Kettle works great. Heating time is average. The spout could sometimes pour more water than usual, causing hot water to trickle from the sides/bottom. I also took the advice and discarded the first few fills to overcome the smell of fresh plastic. All in all, a great Procter Silex product.

This electric kettle is a good one. It can boil the water very fast, only about 2-3mins. I like tea more than coffee, so I am always looking for a kettle instead of coffee maker. This kettle meets my request. The only problem is that it has the plastic smell. I think maybe it is harmful.
