4 of 5 Great Antennae Saturday, May 02, 2009 A Customer from Cleveland, OH
Great Antennae! I am using it indoors and while it is a little big, I am getting all of the digital channels in my area including the vhf station. The pickup is so much better than the amplified rabbit ears that I tried to use at first. I put a 4 for overall satisfaction because there were a couple of screws that were not included (they probably fell out of the box before being packed).
I would highly recommend this an effective, cheap antennae. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great for UHF and VHF Wednesday, March 11, 2009 Frederick from Wichita Falls, TX
Connected to Dish Network 722, allowing me to record three channels simultaneously. Pulls in all local UHF channels and channel 11 in VHF, about 25 miles away. Mounted on antenna j-pipe in attic. A great, inexpensive solution for over the air HD. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Just what I needed Wednesday, March 11, 2009 A Customer from Austin Texas
I was getting some drop off of signal with rabbit ears . so thought I would try this antenna. Mounted it on side of house about 6 feet high.. signal went from 60's to high 80's. I am only about 20 miles from transmitting antennas. Get 10 channels perfectly with no more drop offs. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Dissappointed Wednesday, March 11, 2009 A Customer from Friendswood, Tx.
After reading other reviews I decided to order this antenna for my Mother. She lives within a 20 to 30 mile distance from most of the local TV stations and after reading other reviews, thought this might be the least expensive and smallest antenna to get the job done. I mounted it outside and ran new coax directly to her set. I then tried adjusting the angle to give her good reception, but this small antenna just didn't do it. I wound up having to buy a larger more expensive antenna to get good reception. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 With DTV, it makes a difference Friday, February 06, 2009 D. Heard from Garner, NC
I own a very nice VHF/UHF directional antenna with a rotor and thought I would have no problem receiving DTV. It is the wrong antenna. My advantage was that I have a friend who is an engineer for a local station who loaned me one of the Eagles and has improved my reception considerably. Before I was having a problem with signal fade and loss of signal when it rained only a small amount. The new antenna's design collects the signal much better than my old directional model. It worked so well, I bought one for myself. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best indoor antenna value Thursday, December 04, 2008 ceprise from Langhorne, PA
I used this Eagle Aspen/Pro Brand two bow-tie antenna indoors, mounted on a $20 Wal-Mart pole lamp. From a vacation house in a deep fringe area, I picked up 11 line-of-sight digital stations from 73.6 miles away.
This antenna is a clone of Antennas Direct DB2.

5 of 5 Excellent antenna Sunday, November 09, 2008 Jack from Santa Clara, CA
The antenna didn't arrive as quickly as I was expecting it to be. Buy.com asked if I want to extend my warranty on the goods I had received and I actually hadn't yet obtained them.
As for the antenna, it provided an equivalent signal strength as the channel master 4220 antenna of similar design, which I tried earlier.
This antenna though is better made - materials and construction, and is cheaper. The only little thing that wasn't right was a little plastic clip holding the balun in place was already broken as I took it out of the box. But it is not critical. I was glad it was able to get channel 7 and 9 on VHF even though it is designed to be a UHF antenna. I put the antenna in the attic - just lying on the attic floor without a mount. I am in the San Francisco Bay Area, and with this antenna, I can receive about 40 digital channels when used with a Zenith DTT901 digital converter box. I am ~37 miles from many of the station transmitters. I recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Inexpensive Antenna Monday, September 08, 2008 Krash from Tucson, AZ
Using this with a HTPC to drag in the few stations available in Tucson. Signal strength went from 65 to 88 on our PBS HD station when comparing the original indoor Terk type to this Eagle Aspen. Getting 92 from a station in Sierra Vista 40 miles away. I'm not using a signal booster even though there is 200 feet of RG-6 between the antenna and the computer.
The only problem I had was when I unclipped the balun, the clip broke. Zip tied it and all is well.
Be aware that there are no brackets or mast included. I got lucky and had brackets laying around for about 35 years, and had an old patio umbrella pole with a little rain cap on it, never throw anything away. The install looks professional. Was this review helpful?

While this antenna costs much less than many of it's competitors it is made of good quality materials and is well constructed. I am a HAM and have built and purchased many antennas over the years and I can assure you this is one is well worth the money. I was able to receive over a dozen different digital stations from my location in the suburbs even from inside the house, although the ultimate location is up on the roof (I have plenty of masts to bolt it to). Also, unlike many of the yagi type HD antennas out there, this one is not very sensitive to the pointing direction. It will pull in all signals within about 120 degrees of where it's pointed, so if all the digital signal sources are not clustered within 20 degrees of each other in your location, this is the antenna for you. Even if you have cable TV like me, it's still nice to have an alternative should the cable go out. I have also found that the over-the-air signals are much less compressed than over the cable, so I tend to watch sports and such using the antenna whenever I can since there's less smearing and pixelation. 4 of 5 Great buy, half the price Monday, June 02, 2008 A Customer from Michigan
This is a great option for indoor or outdoor. It gave me channels from both the north and south cities ~30 miles away. It is about half the cost of antennas of exact construction (from what i can tell). It is not too large and is worth the eye sore if you don't want to go with paid cable TV. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 not bad! Tuesday, May 13, 2008 edmo from St. Louis, MO
good antenna for the price. Very directional so you have to try
many locations (outdoors) to get the best reception! This is a UHF antenna that does not recieve vhf. Thin gauge construction
but still not bad overall! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice product Monday, June 25, 2007 A Customer from Chicago, IL
The antenna works well and is easy to set up. I purchased it to pick up local HD channels here in Chicago and have a direct line of sight to the Sears Tower where they're broadcast from so can't tell how it would work in more rural areas but works great in the city.
I love the fact you can pull in FREE HD signals! Was this review helpful?
