 Editor's Note
A young high school couple experience the first pangs of love, and act accordingly. An enticing mixture of romance and comedy.
 Plot Summary
At the snooty Cherryvale Academy for Women, two girls -- one nice, the other not -- have their sights set on the same guy, a student at the neighboring Freemount Academy for Men. Comic shennanigans ensue as the two babes wrangle over their man. Meanwhile, the other Freemount boys, desperate for a glimpse of nubile young flesh, will stop at nothing to catch the Cherryvale girls with their clothes off.

| | Professional Reviews | Variety "...The girls, notably Phoebe Cates and Betsy Russell are, cute....The soundtrack is packed with lively tunes..." 08/03/1983eFilmCritic.com 5 of 10 Private School (sometimes a.k.a. Private School for Girls to those who think that taglines printed on VHS boxes automatically imply a film's full title) is a wholly wretched film that serves solely as a humiliating time capsule, one that horrifyingly reminds us of how low American comedy can sink. Why not just create a film entitled Bare Breasts for 85 Minutes and then simply parade in a whole gaggle of topless cheerleaders and let them hop around for a bit?...Private School was directed by Noel Black. I mention this mainly because I think the eternally damned deserve recognition, and partially to note that he'd later go on to direct a much better (and sexier) tittie-flick known as Mischief. - Scott Weinberg
