5 of 5 Much better than Anticipated, Very Nice GPS for th Wednesday, November 12, 2008 George from North Canton, Ohio
I must say I am impressed by this unit. My wife and I used it to navigate to an Italian restauant right out of the box, pulled up the guide, and our place was right at the top, GREAT! The display is very good, I have not used the video or audio display options, the Navigation is very quick after the initial cold start and usually tracks 4-6 satellites every time. I have noticed that sometimes, the calculation for navigation are off by a factor of 10, when it says get ready to turn in 200 yards, it is more like 20 yards. That would be a problem if you were lost , and had to rely on this soley. The voices sound a little tinny when the volume is past the 1/2 way point due to the built in speaker. The remote is a nice feature as well. The voices have a slight British accent to them, but you get used to it.
This is a great buy for the money, nothing out there is remotely close at this time for a 7" display GPS unit at $125. The suction cup base is very heavy and sturdy. The front bezel has a nice piano black plastic gloss to it.
I hope it does not get stolen as so many do, even though I have an alarm with a microwave motion sensor in my SUV. Was this review helpful?

I recently replaced my stolen PLenio VXA 3000 because it is the best GPS out there. I have used magellan, navman, and what ever Avis uses. The large screen is wonderful. It is easy to see the map and directions. I have used this GPS in rental cars around the country and never had a problem with it except during construction detours. Even in the construction detours it has managed to keep me on track. It quickly recognizes route changes and plots a new route. It is a high resolution GPS picking up 9 to 11 satellites most of the time. The only con is having to learn how it stores things. CVS is listed in medical due to their pharmacy. Its multi-functionality just improves this product. You can play music, watch videos, play a game, etc. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great GPS System Wednesday, November 21, 2007 Chris from Woodbridge, VA
This is a great GPS system and the screen size is wonderful. It is very easy to use and I have used it across the USA with no problems. I have pulled it out of my carry on and put it on the windshield of the rental, powered up and was able to use it in the new city. Nice to have in a city where you have no idea where a restaurant is, work location, etc. I love the automatic adjustment from day to night as it dramatically reduces glare at night. When waiting for someone, the game is fun to play as well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Saturday, October 20, 2007 Chris from Woodbridge, VA
I have read many negative reviews of this product but have found it relatively easy to use and the extremely large screen size makes it far better than other GPS systems I have used. It is extremely quick to recalculate the route if you veer off. I have had only minor problems in Detroit and San Antonion and both cases were due to construction projects. I lowered ease of use because it labeles CVS stores under medical facilities due to the pharmacy in the stores and that was not intuitive. I have driven with GPS for several years now and the Plenio beats all of them hands down. Was this review helpful?
