My original sixaxis controller was getting on my nerves, because the right joystick would always get stuck. So I got the dualshock 3 controller, and now I love playing my PS3 again. I recomend getting this controller if your original is acting up. Was this review helpful?

This is a very good controller compare to other third party controller made for playstation. Is a little pricy but is worth the money. I have try other third party controller made for Playstation, i like it for the first few weeks, but then after that, i am still going back to the Original controller made by sony. I have been wanting to get a PS3 dualshock since Sony released it last year but I bulked at the price. I received the item quicker than expected brand new sealed and ready to use out of the box once I charged it up. I highly recommend anyone who has been hesitating about buying the ps3 dualshock to get one. There is never any doubt that Sony makes the best accessories for their own product. As a second controller, I would definitely buy this. Third and fourth etc. controllers can always be of lesser quality. I purchased this with the console so I could have the option of playing with someone else. At this price point, it's the way to go. If you own a PS3 and only have a sixaxis controller, do yourself a favor and get a Dualshock 3. It is basically the same controller with vibration/rumble feedback. It will make good games great and great games awesome by immersing you in the action. The added weight feels just right and the rumble is just right (if not a little light at times). We have used Nintendo controllers with rumble action and it is distracting during gameplay. We have had our PS3 for about 9 months with controllers with NO rumble, so when I ordered this controller, I didn't know what it would be like. But it is awesome! Slightly heavier so it stays in your hands better. Plus when it rumbles, it does not want to wriggle out of your hands, but it vibrates in such a way that it reminds you of the real way that a steering wheel would vibrate under the circumstances. It really does not feel like a vibration or a rumble, it is more like a pulsation of movement. I highly recommend this controller!! Was this review helpful?

the controller took almost 2 weeks to send. considering it was free shipping and cheap i was ok with it...
however the quality the dualshock brings is superb, bluetooth is nice and the battery life is long. i dont know how people break their controllers but in 10 years of console games i've never broken a single control. they must rage when they lose or something. anyways keep in mind not all games support motion sensor, and not all games have a nice rumble... i wish the rumble shook a bit harder though.

Pretty much the cheapest you can find online. Comes new, in the original packaging. Only downside is that it doesn't come with its own USB cable, which isn't a huge deal for me but might be for some people.

Hurry up and order one already! No, but seriously, this is one great controller. It performs in all respects comparably to the non-vibrating PS3 controller, and feels the same, only a bit heavier. The battery life seems great, as I'm an RPG player and can easily play all day and still have plenty of charge left. I'm guessing it would take around three days of solid play to discharge this thing. It might be less with action games that involve a lot of joystick movement, as RPGs have a lot of downtime where you aren't moving the controller at all. Anyway, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It's a little more expensive than when I bought mine, but still WELL worth the price if you need a second controller like I did. This sixaxis rumble controller works great (just like all of the OEM PS3 products). I have to order another one now and everyone fights over the rumble controller I just bought!
The only down side is that the rumble is not as strong as the PS2 controllers and not all PS3 games support "rumble".

It is the wireless controller with the rumble (dualshock) for the PS3 you see everywhere else. What you DON'T see everywhere else is the low price that you can get it for here. It was a new, factory sealed controller, not a refurbished one.
Just like with any new controller, you don't get the usb plug that charges up the controller. That usually comes with the system.
