I rarely write reviews on products but after using the Plantronics 815 I need to tell prospective purchasers about this product. I had and still use a Plantronics 630. It has worked as advertised. Extremely comfortable to wear, good sound quality and easily mates with other bluetooth devices. The only downside was the short battery life and as the product got older the battery life got worse. When the 815 was available I thought it would be the perfect bluetooth solution. I'll admit the battery life is much better outlasting both phones. The comfort is horrible. Without the ear stabilizer no matter what ear piece you wear because they are so soft the headset just falls out of your ear. Using the very uncomfortable ear stabilizer no matter how I try to bend it, form it, it just isn't comfortable. That would be bad enough but the performance is even worse. My old unit no one ever complained of me breaking up with the new one I seem to be repeating myself all of the time. Listening is just as bad. With the volume on high I still need to push the headpiece into my ear to hear the caller something that never happens with the old unit. My final bit of advise... save your money and don't buy this headset!

Very good sound insulation with the silicone ear cups. Sound quality is quite good, though not the best imaginable. It can be used without the ear hook, which is a nice feature. Comes with a nice little pouch so you can keep it from banged up. Overall, definitely worth the money. Was this review helpful?

When it comes to bluetooth headsets, at least for me, the most important thing is the quality of the sound. now, this headset completely let me down. the voice is very low, and very bad, and sometimes the distortions are so loud, sometimes my ear almost hurts. and the noise canceling is also canceling the voice, and i have to keep repeating what i say very often. i expected a lot more from a $60 headset. and the speaker that goes in my ear is a very uncomfortable. The good thing, compared to the other plantronics devices, is that you can charge it on the go. I'm going to continue using my old nokia hdw-3 headset, witch has a real speaker sound, no distortions, and people don't have to keep asking "what did u say?" Was this review helpful?

I am very happy with this headset as i can both hear and be heard clearly. i can also get close to 30 feet away and still communicate with my phone, that is as long as there are no walls between me and the phone. Was this review helpful?

I bought this mainly because of its ability to connect to two phones at once. The clarity is amazing and I have heard nothing but good things from the people with whom I'm conversing. It stays put without an ear hook, and with the custom fit earpieces there is no need to press it against your head to hear in a noisy environment. I highly recommend this headset! works great but does not perform as highly as I expected. Dont get me wrong, its a great unit but I was expecting better noise filtering. The silicone earpieces are good but the ear clips (2 of them) are not adjustable which in my opinion is lame. Especially for a $60+ headset. Also it sits about 3/4 of an inch away from the side of your head which isnt as close as my previous plantronics 330 headset which was great btw.
the sliding boom mic is an easy way to pickup and end calls but doesnt do much for the reception.
There are other features in this unit but I didnt read the manual so im probably missing out. Im not a manual kind of guy.
