I dont know what to say. If you use this in a quiet car u probably wont be disappointed, but i bought it since so many reviews claimed its noise canceling was good but its not worth 5.00 in my truck. Friends wont even talk to me when i use it. I will say its more comfortable than it looks with that funny earpiece. But i had to go out purchase a different unit (jawbone2) since i drive a truck and its noisy in the cab. It paired easily with LG DARE (verizon) but i havent had one unit from any maker yet that wouldnt pair with my phones. This is a decent unit for car. Im just upset that i blew another 53. s/h Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 It works great Monday, July 14, 2008 Colin from Palm Springs, CA
Due to California law now requiring I use a hands-free setup in the car, I got this headset. I picked the Voyager 520 based on price and good reviews, and I must say, I am very happy with it. It fits on/in my ear very comfortably and the sound is very good. Being that I get a pretty bad AT&T signal in my home, I found I can put my phone in a place that gets a good signal and use the headset, allowing me to roam around the room and carry on a call. One very specific negative at the moment: After the 2.0 firmware upgrade, the iPhone no longer sends Visual Voicemail audio to the headset. Any other use of it with the phone works fine. This is an Apple issue, and I'm sure it will be fixed soon. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 First and Last Friday, July 11, 2008 A Customer from Castro Valley, CA
I never had one of these. California law made me get it. I reviewed and compared online and this one was priced right for my needs - hands free while driving with phone on my hip. Paired in a snap, sounds great on both ends - no static, only one button to deal with. The charge lasts long for me because I only use it while driving and I turn it off when not in use. I had it since the end of June and haven't had to recharge it yet. My only issue is that the hook is not a perfect fit for my ear. I'd figure my ear to be slightly smaller than average, so average ears would be just right. But I still get a tight fit with just a minor twist and turn. I'd easily buy it again! 4 of 5 Great Headset, but NO mute?? Thursday, July 10, 2008 Quazi from Sterlin', Vajinya
I really like this headset. It is very light and easy to wear. I forget I have it on. Ear volume is fantastic. I am using it with an old Blackberry and a LG VX8300. It switches between phones flawlessly.
My only complaint is the lack of a mute button. However, I just use the phone's mute. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Volume horible Tuesday, July 08, 2008 Chris from Rancho Cucamonga, CA
I have this blue tooth device and I can't stand it. I use it as little as possible. The volume doesn't get loud enough to hear unless you push into your ear. Kind of defeats the purpose of hands free when you need to hold it to your ear.
Plus, that little nub that goes into your ear is very uncomfortable. Desperatley looking for blue tooth that doesn't require me sticking something in my ear.
Don't waste your money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Plantronics! Excellent product! Good buy! Good pr Saturday, July 05, 2008 Rob B from Tacoma, WA.
The Plantronics 520 took a little getting used to as any new device does but I really like it's size, comfort and simplicity.
I have really liked all 3 plantronics bluetooth headsets that I have owned.
I like the way it fits in your ear and doesn't feel like it's going to blow off.
I now have figured out how to put it up to your ear and with 1 hand just spin it into my ear.
They all have been easy to use and only the last one I had to send in for warranty a issue. Plantronics had a new one to my door within 2 days.
Fast & simple.
I highly recommend Plantronics to everyone.
Pairs up with my Motorolas, good looks, comfort, great price, fast delivery. A+ Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 High quality Bluetooth sound Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Nick from Katonah, NY
Well built, easy to use, and really excellent sound quality -- particularly on the listening end. As long as background noise on my end isn't too complex (which sometimes can confuse the noise-canceling feature), the party I'm calling has reported that transmission sound quality is also very good. Pretty comfortable and well-seated in the ear. Pairing was admirably straightforward. Battery life seems longer than for other Bluetooth headsets I've used. A quality product, and highly recommended. 5 of 5 Good bluetooth, overall! Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Sathya from West Babylon, NY
I am quite satisfied with this bluetooth headset. I had a Plantronics headset before and it was great. I ended up giving it to my aunt, so I had to by myself a new one. I am not that fond of the pre-molded ear piece. It becomes quite uncomfortable after wearing it long. I did however switch to my left ear and it was somewhat more tolerable.
I think that it is somewhat pricey, but overall good. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Exactly what I needed for 2 phones Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Jim from Fair Lawn, NJ
I have a Blackberry 8700c for work and a Motorola 325i for personal use and this headset connects to both and works beautifully. Headset is quite comfortable and light. Very easy to operate and so far the sound quality on both ends is very good. Highly recommended if you need to carry two phones at the same time. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great bluetooth Monday, June 30, 2008 acarlson80@hotmail.com from Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Great price for this bluetooth on buy.com. Works great, clear sounding, great fit. I love it. After reading about all the horror stories with other bluetooths, this one fits the bill great! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great ear-piece Sunday, June 29, 2008 Pete Barkelew from Athens, Georgia
Fantastic product! My first Bluetooth was a Plantronics. It worked great and I loved it. Then I tried the Motorola - it was very uncomfortable - too rigid around the ear, and the inner-ear piece did not fit inside properly, so it always needed adjusting. Then I tried the new Jawbone, but I couldn't keep it adjusted against my jaw (to work properly, and I hated the feeling of that little post touching me anyway)... way too expensive to not have it work right. So, I went looking for another Plantronics ear-piece and found this one online at BUY.com. Boy, was I glad - great price, delivered fast (with free shipping), and it's the easiest device to use. Very light and flexible. Slips on easily and quickly - it's very comfortable for long use, and crystal clear (from what I'm told on the other end). You would do well to try this product, but be sure to order it from BUY.com! Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Finally a BlueTooth that works! Friday, June 27, 2008 Tony from Cleveland, OH
It's battery last a long time, volume is loud enough and it cancels the background noise out so your listner can hear you better instead of what's around you. This is one of many headsets I've tried and its going to be the last. It's also very comfortable to wear! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 So Far - So Good! Tuesday, June 24, 2008 Chris from Seminole FL
I was debating whether to purchase this headset or the Voyager 510 and so far I am happy with the Voyager 520. As some of the other reviewers noted, the piece that wraps around your ear is large, so if you have small ears, I can see the headset falling off your ear quite easily. I have medium ears (I guess), so it stays on, but if I move my head quickly, it will drop off pretty easily. When I call people they say sound quality is good, and incoming calls are the same. I was looking for a basic, reliable headset at a reasonable price and this seems to fit the bill. So far charge has held for a week with light usage and shutting set off when not in use. If I have a change of opinion, I'll let you know. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 It works pretty good Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from Wheeling
I have nothing to compare it to. I've never used one before. It seems to work best when I am speaking to someone who is not using a blue tooth product. Blue tooth to blue tooth reception is not great. That could be a problem as many people are turning to handsfree devices. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best headset so far, and a steal at the buy.com pr Sunday, June 22, 2008 A Customer from raleigh, nc
Great noise cancellation, ease of use. It can get a touch static like but if you move the phone the static tends to go away. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 I expected better performance! Saturday, June 21, 2008 Jorge R from East Windsor, NJ
I bought this item expecting a better performance than my old Motorola Bluetooth headset that I was replacing. The sound quality is not that great and I hear static sometimes. Not sure that I would recommend this item. Was this review helpful? |
