4 of 5 The dongle is great. The earbuds are ok. Wednesday, October 14, 2009
A Customer from Fort Collins, Colorado

I received the headset yesterday. When you charge it, you have to make sure the USB plug is fully inserted into the dongle. The rubber cover sometimes obstructs the plug so you have to move it out of the way to ensure full insertion. The dongle light will illuminate to indicate it is charging. The dongle works well. It paired easily with my BlackBerry Curve and the sound quality is great. Although the sound through the earbuds is great, I don't like the long stems protruding from the buds. It makes it uncomfortable to wear especially if you are wearing earmuffs during the cold winter. The earbuds aren't sound isolating either, so I need to turn up the volume if I am in a noisy environment. I was hoping to use my existing earbuds on the dongle but it has a 3.5 mm plug.

    5 of 5 Just Got It for a Nokia e71x Monday, August 31, 2009
    Lamar from Houston, Texas
Just got the headset. It takes 3 hours to charge, so I will write again after using the bluetooth connection. Right off the back, I like it a lot. It has the 2.5 mm port and the headset can plug directly into the Nokia e71x! So, even if the bluetooth device dies, no problem! I was looking for a good headset with a 2.5mm plug, so that I would not have to use an adapter and bam! Wuup, there it is! I also have a Bose music system and I can't wait to see how it works with the Bluetooth device. Anyway, if you have a Nokia e71x, I highly recommend it, unless the Bluetooth connection total sucks...which could be why it's been discontinued and the price drop. Stay tuned.

2 of 5 Hard to hear Wednesday, May 27, 2009
    A Customer from Shreveport, LA
I bought this to use under my motorcycle helmet. Unfortunatly, I can't hear it at all and the microphone, even when placed close to my mouth, can't be understood. Works fine when not in any noise. May work better with a different headset but I haven't tried yet.

    3 of 5 I use a dedicated MP3 player instead Sunday, April 19, 2009
    A Customer from Phila, PA
I own the TREO 700w and wanted the convenience of listening to music untethered to the phone similar to using a bluetooth earpiece. For the price, I thought this would be a perfect way to extend the capabilities of the phone and leverage its expandable memory options, too. Unfortunately, this bluetooth implementation didn't satisfy that requirement so well because the headphone cables are much longer that they appear in all of the marketing photos/illustrations. The experience is that of using a clunky headset. The headset by the way is so-so and is uncomfortable for me, and does very little sound isolation. Another minus is that it uses a 2.5mm jack (which is compatible with some phones, but on the Treo it's mono) and if you want to use your own headphones, you may need a 2.5 --> 3.5mm adapter. If you are listening to an audiobook, you need to keep track of the chapters. Since my phone is the media player, I have to keep looking at the phone to see which track the audio is on - and often resets due to number of reasons. If this little Plantronics could display the current track information, I would be in better shape because I feel like I'm constantly managing 2 devices instead of one. This may not be an issue if you don't need to fuss with changing tracks. I ended up purchasing a dedicated mp3 player that's similar in size of the plantronics and does a whole lot more - including radio, equilizer, robust information display, remembers where you left off, etc. (check out Sandisk Clip). The bluetooth connection to the Treo was more a novelty and the benefits wore off quickly for me.

4 of 5 Good deal, somewhat clumsy use Tuesday, April 14, 2009
A Customer from st paul mn
the wire is too short to reach my pants pocket, and too long for my shirt pockets. Perfect if I have a jacket on though. For the price, these are good headphones. I was able to pair with a lenovo notebook, and Moto RAZRv3 and RAZRxx.

5 of 5 Great price, excellent quality Friday, April 10, 2009
    A Customer from Wichatunk, NJ
I bought this item mainly for listening to music from my laptop. Its sound quality is excellent. It is easy to configure and reconnect. I also tested it with my cell phone calls (with Samsung SYNC and Motorola K1). The also works perfectly. This is the best price I have even seen for this item.

    5 of 5 Does a good job Monday, April 06, 2009
A Customer from Buffalo Grove, IL
An added bonus is that the jack on the headphones (2.5mm stereo) fits directly into my phone (Nokia 6650d) so I can use the headphones without the Bluetooth fob or with it. Since the headphones contain the mike and the call answer button I get almost the same functionality with just the headphones that I do with the headphones plugged in the Bluetooth unit. The setup worked as described and the sound quality is excellent (although there is a slight hiss).

4 of 5 Cordless with cords still works Monday, March 30, 2009
    Dan from Philly
At this price, the buds suddenly become an option. They paired easily with my Samsung E590 and my iPhone though the iPhone will only be able to use the stereo bluetooth after updating to OS 3 (the original iPhone does not and will not have stereo bt capability). Though they paired easily the first time, each time I disconnected the headphones it took a bit to get them repaired. The cords are short making for minimal tangling and the transmitter is mostly easy to use, though hard to change song or volume by feel. I use them for biking as they fit under my helmet, something one piece stereo bt usually can't do. I love the in-ear buds as they produce great sound and reduce backgroung noise ( not always helpful on a bike). The battery life is excellent and included components are good. One of the reasons I picked these up is because the actual corded buds have a standard 2.5mm plug so they work as corded headphones for many non bt phones. I just wish they would have included a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter for the iPhone.

3 of 5 not very mobile Sunday, March 29, 2009
    A Customer from chicago
Like other reviews have noted the cord that they include is ridiculous. It's like 6 feet long so you have to wrap it up or something, but that defeats the whole "wireless" thing. I also tested how good the music streaming was and it was not great... If I could go back, I would not buy it. Maybe I can find some sort of use for it, like as a stereo gateway or maybe linked to my computer for skype or something.....but I doubt I will use it for my mobile phone....

    5 of 5 Nice device Thursday, March 26, 2009
    Alex from Kenmore, NY
Product arrived quickly, was priced competitively, and works flawlessly. I use it daily with my BB Pearl to listen to Slacker Radio. Sound quality when listening to music is great. The bass is exceptional as well as the max volume. The ear buds fit perfectly in my ears and they don't slip out over time. I rated the performance at 4 due to the headset performance. The sound from a call comes in mono and sounds a bit muffled. The mic needed to be placed no further than 3-4 inches from mouth in order for caller to hear me. Battery life with daily (6 hours) usage lasts about 3 days before charging.

    5 of 5 Awesome headset! Thursday, March 19, 2009
    Debbie from Oglethorpe, GA.
I originally ordered one of these headsets, but I Loved it so much I ordered another one for my husband. I'm an avid cyclist and he's an avid walker and we really needed the convenience of a wireless headset for listening to mp3's on our phones, as well as for hands-free conversation when needed. I had no problem pairing it with my Verizon Samsung smartphone or his LG Voyager. The sound quality is even better than the Jabra wired headset I had been using. I've tried both a Jabra and a Motorola bluetooth headset and this Plantronics makes them look pathetic by comparison. The headphones do have the longer end which fits around the back of the neck, which my Jabra also had, so this was no problem for me. Some people may find it a little odd, however I actually like it. I personally don't use the included lanyard since the unit has a built-in clip which I prefer. Although it comes with three sizes of silicone earbuds, the ones that were already on it fit perfectly both for myself and the hubby, and unlike the Jabra, they DON'T fall out. Since they fit snugly they do a great job of blocking outside noises which is really nice. It's so handy to be able to wirelessly talk on my phone while riding the bike and then have the music automatically continue where it left off when the call ends. I can clearly hear the caller and I've had no complaints on their end other than the occasional wind noise which is of course, not due to the headset. The unit charges fairly quickly and holds a charge for hours. I've used mine almost daily for well over a month with no problems so far. Easy to use, awesome sound quality plus fast shipping at an amazing price. What more could you want? I completely recommend!

    5 of 5 Excellent device Thursday, March 05, 2009
    Limestone from Hayward, CA
Working in construction I love the stereo headset. Setup was a breeze w/HTC Touch, and Blackberry Curve. Battery life is tremendous, like 16 hours w/music playing occasionally. The distance isn't more than 10 feet before it gets fuzzy. Controls synced up great. The sound isn't great, but the cell phones aren't producing quality sound to begin with. The included headphones work fine, I've added different headphones for even better results. I'm recommending these to other clients and co-workers.

1 of 5 Good price but... Thursday, February 26, 2009
    Disgruntled... from New York, NY
I had this for a month or so and it died on me. Now I have to deal with the manufacturer to get it replaced or just buy another bluetooth earset. The quality of the product is inconsistent; sometimes it takes awhile to connect with your device, if a call comes in while you are listening to music, you have to go back to your music device to press play; somehow the play/stop button does not work when you end the call. The quality of the headphone is AM'ish. Don't expect quality stereo sound even when your format bitrate is high, and don't expect your caller to hear you even when you are speaking directly to the microphone. Most important disadvantage for this product, it is housed with a 2.5mm jack.

    3 of 5 OK.. Tuesday, February 24, 2009
    A Customer from Kansas
I brought this a few month ago from BUY.COM. First of all, the bluetooth connection is OK, but it wouldn't allow you to walk away more than 6 feet, or you will experience some distraction noise. The ear-bud is soft and somehow, too soft. Due to the crappy ear-bud, the sound quality, according to my experience, was kind of bad. The only thing I like about this headset is the battery life really last FOREVER!

5 of 5 They do the job Wednesday, February 18, 2009
Poverty Pirate from Ripley, West V.
Alright, 1st off i got these for $23 when i bought them and at that price they are spectacular! However, with the price right now im not sure if i would still purchase them. I live in a small, 2 story, 3 bedroom apt and these wanted to cut out on me when i would take them downstairs listening to music from my comp, Ive had a cpl issues with them crashing my blackberry 8310 curve, and the 2.5 plug instead of a reg 3.5 is kind of annoying (cant swap out headphones, im a txter and seldom tlk on my phone). Aside from these complaints, i bought them cos i use my blckberry as an mp3 player (4gig sd)and now i can stash it away somewhere, pair these and pop them in my ears, and slide my motorcycle helmet on and take off. I can clip it to my jacket or use the lanyard around my neck, whtever works for that day. I would suggest these depending on how another person planned to use them

5 of 5 Just what I was looking for. Tuesday, February 17, 2009
    Tommy from Kennesaw. GA
This plantronics stereo bluetooth headset is great. I walk 3 miles several times a week. I like to listen to my cell phone's mp3 player while walking. It's nice to have the mp3 and phone all together. I have another stereo bluetooth headset that wraps around the back of the head. This is a very nice, lightweight design, but if I kept my phone in my pocket it would continuously skip and drop out while playing music. So I decided to try the plantronics. It is great, very lighweight and has no trouble staying paired with my phone. I use the neck lanyard and keep my phone in my pocket. I have also had no complaints from callers I have talked to using this headset. One additional bonus, this headset's bass is much better / deeper than the bass on my other headset. I'm very happy!!!!

5 of 5 Great value, good sound, nice setup Monday, February 16, 2009
    Mike from Marlborough MA
Overall this headset does exactly what I expected. It connects to either my Cell Phone or my MacBook over bluetooth and lets me get wireless stereo audio. I really like the fact that the main unit takes a 2.5mm jack - so you can replace the headset that comes with it with any 2.5mm headset - or converter and headphones - and make that wireless. The only downside - and I think this is true for any bluetooth headset is the overall audio quality isn't great - but its good enough for most of what I do.

    5 of 5 Great sound Friday, February 13, 2009
    Mary from Yorktown, VA
I love this device as it detaches me from my device. The sound is great and with three different size ear buds, I get a good ear fit. My only problem is that I keep accidently hitting the phone button on the microphone which sounds a beep making me think I have a call. It's more of operator error than anything and I'm sure I'll figure out a way to prevent this eventually.

Everything looks fine and is working as expected. Only not sure that the stereo sound has some robotic effects using with both my cellphone and laptop. When I connect my regular headphones, the sound is great and clear where in these headphones the sound has some wierd robotic effect and not the same quality.

This is a great ,product,I am using it mainly to make my Bose Computer speakers Wireless and it works excellent for that. It was hard to pair but nothing wrong with this product ,my laptop was not having A2DP profile, once I upgraded my drivers, it just got connected automatically. The sound is very clear and works across one room. Now I can have my Laptop on my lap and play music through my Bose speakers with no wires running across.

    5 of 5 Good value Sunday, December 28, 2008
A Customer from El Dorado Hills, CA
The sound quality is very good. Easy out of box installation. No hassles. Plantronics has created a consumer friendly product. The only negative thing about this product is mis-matched cord lengths for the headset. The product description shows this to be the same length, which is what I prefer. One longer than the other is somewhat kludgy. There must be a way to use your own headset ... I will investigate. Overall, a satisfactory product.

    5 of 5 Works great Sunday, November 16, 2008
    A Customer from Huntsville, AL
This is a very handy stereo bluetooth headset with amazing sound for the price. Sync's easily...up and running in < 1 min (don't forget the default security code is "0000"). The earphone rubber tips could be a bit more comfortable, and I personnally don't care for the "one earpiece cord longer than the other" thing. But I can use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter and just plug in my favorite earphones for audiophile sound quality and comfort. Overall - a real bargain!

5 of 5 Great all in one solution Thursday, October 30, 2008
Amos Elroy from Jersey City, NJ
Worked perfectly for both stereo media listening, and phone communication. Integrated flawlessly with my HTC Touch-VX9600. Good sound quality. The fact that the headphones are not wired allows me to connect the output to an amplifier instead of headphones, or to slip the audio to 2 sets of headphones for joint listening. You could even have one set permanently plugged into your car stereo, and one for the go.

4 of 5 Great Price, Great Product Wednesday, September 17, 2008
    A Customer from Columbia, SC
I love this thing, so far the battery life appears to be great. I had no problems pairing it with my phone. Sound quality is good, but I wish the volume would go higher. The volume is great in low noise environments, but if you have a lot of background noise, it can be difficult to hear. Biggest complaint, the length of the cord, sometimes it is too much, the picture is misleading, it is about 2 feet longer than it looks in the picture. Other than that, no complaints.

5 of 5 Bang for Your Buck!!! Friday, September 12, 2008

1 Word = Loud. These headphones are great, comfortable, and under priced in my opinion! Get a pair yesterday if you can. I love them when i have to do my conference call on the road. Tractor trailers jamming on their "jake brakes" aren't loud enough with these things in your ears at full blast.

5 of 5 this and BlackBerry Pearl, thumbs up Wednesday, September 10, 2008
    A Customer from Worcester, MA
Stereo is the reason to buy this. The sound quality is passable, bettered by the larger headsets like the LG HBS-200. The earbuds are supposed to stick in your ear. Noise cancellation works best this way but it's possible to hang these in your ear iPod headset-style but more of a chance they'll fall out. The wires give you all of the challenges of managing wires around your neck. I wound up tucking the excess into my shirt. It comes with a clip (like all wired headsets) to help you manage where to clip the mic located inline of the wires, a little too close to the earbuds. But the placement does not deter me to hold the mic up to my mouth... which you need to do if you want the caller to hear you more clearly... otherwise it sounds like your speaking from across the room (albeit moderately clearly, as commented by callers). This is paired to my Verizon BlackBerry 8130 Pearl, easy to pair. Listening to music all day; The battery lasts about 7 hours as specified in the instruction manual... so I've taken to charging (via Mini-USB) it during lunch. It charges in about 15 minutes, about an hour if the battery was drained. Buttons are easy to use without looking at them, good layout. I keep this clipped to my collar as the wire is not long enough to reach my belt (I'm a little over 6 feet tall). After one month of usage: Performing as expected.

4 of 5 Good value for the money Tuesday, August 19, 2008
    A Customer from Denton, TX
Functionally speaking, the Plantronics Pulsar 260s deliver exactly what I expected. (For the price, the quality has actually exceeded my expectations.) I've paired it with my HTC 8525, and a PC with a Bluetooth Adapter, and the audio quality with both has been fantastic. I purchased this item with the sole intention of streaming music via A2DP (stereo music) to my "wireless" headphones, and that's all I've done, so I can't speak for the quality of the mic... but the headphones do deliver good sound when snuggly fit into your ear canal (especially for the price). I'm a little disappointed headphone's cables though. The cord leading to the left headphone is about twice as long as the cord leading to the right headphone, which causes the (relatively) heavy integrated "Call Answer" button to cause the cord to hang at a weird angle. Clipping the cord to your shirt near the Answer button helps, but does not eliminate the problem.

4 of 5 Great product, but... Wednesday, August 13, 2008
    Jered Wenderoth from Columbia, MD
Yes, I gave all 5s, then summed up with a 4. Great sound quality, easy to pair, easy to use. Good battery life though an auto-off feature would be nice. My only real beef? For a wireless headset, I sure end up with a lot of wire to deal with. I didn't realize how annoying that could be.

I bought the Plantronics Pulsar 260 for my travel purposes. I agree it has a lot of wires to deal with but the quality of sound and construction is good. I use it with my AT&T Tilt and also my bluetooth enabled laptop and it works good.

4 of 5 Pretty Good For This Price Thursday, July 24, 2008
A Customer from san francisco, CA
Everything works fine except when I receive a call while listening to music. After I hang up the call, the bluetooth is disconnected from the phone and I have to turn it off and try to connect again. Otherwise the music just play through the phone speaker.

    1 of 5 Connect Problem Monday, July 21, 2008
    A Customer from AUSTIN, TX
Pairing with my Sony W810 required 2 tries. After pairing, the only service available was headset service. Advance audio service (meaning stereo and controls) was not available - big disappointment. Device freeze easily and requires hard reset. Connection to a WinXP computer via Bluesolei was good but not easy and required a few tries from time to time. Connection to advance audio service was good most of the time but sometime with pauses. Turning off the headset will require re-pairing. Overall, it is not a plug and play device and very difficult to use. Once connected, sound was very good and ear-plug style was comfortable enough to wear for more than 6 hrs. I agree with others that the cable is just too long, we are not giants, you know! Maybe Plantronic predicts the human race will grow and evolve into one! Battery life is good and as advertised. Recharging time requires 3 solid hours. A bit too long for a tiny device.

4 of 5 Pretty good product and sound and software Thursday, July 17, 2008
Vic T from Los Angeles, CA
I use this together with a "MOGO Bluetooth" micro USB to make it a wireless stereo from my computer while watching DVD. However, seems like it has a little sync problem at the beginning. When I use it to listen to itunes radio, I don't really see the problem because I only listen to an audio. However, if I use it to watch DVD, I can see the audio kind of lag behind the video by about 2-3 seconds at the beginning. It takes about 2-3 mins for the audio to finally catch up with the video. That was my only problem with the device, but 2-3 mins is acceptable to me. And I have a fast computer. The software that comes with it is also good, because I hate Microsoft software for bluetooth devices, not very user friendly. Nonetheless, I would recommend this device because it is cheap and good.

4 of 5 Great perfomance for price... Saturday, June 28, 2008
    A Customer from Washington, DC
Sound is fine but occasionally tinny at low volume. Ear plugs are light and stay in ear. The neck strap is functional but not fashionable because you'll have the ear wires and neck strap dangling. It's a fine product and does the job. Like other Plantronics products Bluetooth was very easy to pair to my Verizon 8830 Blackberry.
