4 of 5 Works well but what I here is a little soft for me Tuesday, April 28, 2009 A Customer from Vanc. WA
Others can hear me very well and I can hear them okay with the volume all the way up but wish I had a little more volume. Very light and comfortable on my head. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product! Sunday, April 26, 2009 A Customer from Maine
Arrived sooner than I had expected. Great product and I'm already thinking of getting a couple more to give to my parents. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice product, Nice price Tuesday, December 30, 2008 Marc from Troy, MO
I recently broke the headset I have been using for almost 7 years and tried many products to replace it with not much luck. Main problem is that none of them seemed to be loud enough for me. This headset works great, adjustable volume, and you can't beat the price. I ended up buying two because my wife wanted one as well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 GREAT!!!!!!!!!! Saturday, September 27, 2008 A Customer from Stamford CT
Plantronic headset is pure awesome. Works great and I now have my hands free to do anything while I am on the phone! Amazing. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Saturday, September 06, 2008 A Customer from PHX AZ
This is an excellent buy, very reasonable price, have been using it for about a month and it is better than competitors that cost 2x as much, previously had an ATT that was $50 and it was crap! the mic's plastic coating came apart at the connection to the headset, this one (the plantronics) is extremely study. Also has a nice mute and TWO volume controls-one for the speaker and the other for the mic-very useful.
I highly recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good headset! Monday, August 25, 2008 A Customer from Palm Coast, FL
Good product. WAY more comfortable that others I tried and returned. More volume than those too, but this one could use a bit more volume at max too.

4 of 5 Good value headset for $12 Sunday, March 16, 2008 BMWracer from Atlanta, GA
This is a very good inexpensive headset to use with a cordless or cell phone. We bought it to replace a similar unit (not Plantronics branded) which fell apart after several years of use. We chose the Plantronics unit for two reasons: price, and good experience with a Plantronics Bluetooth headset which also was a great deal from Buy.com. Like many other items, price on this unit varies wildly. We paid $12 with free shipping. I really don't believe such a simple piece of equipment is worth any more than that. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 phone headset Saturday, February 16, 2008 A Customer from Torrance, CA
The order came very quickly and the product worked fine right out of the box. My only concern is that some people on the other end have said that our voice wasn't very loud (the volume setting is cranked up to the max). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Almost perfect! Saturday, February 16, 2008 John from Chicago, IL
For the cost of this headset the quality is unbeatable. It is comfortable, versatile and the sound quality is perfect. If you do not need noise cancelling, look no further than this item. I spend over 8 hours a day on conference calls and bought this as a backup for when my jawbone headset battery died. I now use this headset exclusively when in the office. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good headset Monday, January 14, 2008 TSM from Bellevue, NE
I ordered this headset because of the over-the-head rather than clip-on-the-ear configuration. Also, I prefer the longer boom-style mike configuration. The headset works as advertised and was delivery was timely. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great headset Friday, September 28, 2007 A Customer from Coudersport, PA
I use this headset with a desk phone that has a 2.5mm jack. It works perfectly. For a small step up in price over the many cheap options out there, this is definitely worth the price. It has a switch that amplifies your voice. This overcomes the problem I had with most headset in that I could hear everyone, but they couldn't hear me. Of course it has the ear volume adjustment and mute, but I just use the phone's mute button. The quality is good. I don't expect the wires to pull apart like they have on other headsets. 5 of 5 Plantronics M214C Cordless Phone Headset - M-214C Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Ray from San Diego, CA
Excellent headset. This is the second unit for home use. My wife has just worn the other unit out.
Provides great clarity and noise cancellation. The adjustable sensitivity for the MIC is a must.

4 of 5 Great product for $ Monday, May 28, 2007 A Customer from NY, NY
These headphones are simple and easy to use. The only reason I didnt give a 5 throughout is the volume is not that high, and they dont fit snugly around the head. But they are not self powered, so that is obviously lends to the low volume. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good sound Thursday, April 26, 2007 Scott from Carrollton, Tx
I recently purchased an inexpensive headset from a large electronics store and the quality and performance was poor. This Headset costs the same but has many more features and the sound & clarity of my voice is amazing. I love the ability to control the microphone & speaker volume from the headset controls (and mute as well). It is comfortable too. Well worth the price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product at a Great Price Saturday, March 10, 2007 Brenda from Portland, OR
Others were able to cleary hear me with the headset. The volume/mute buttons are easily accessible while wearing the headset. I'm very satisfied with the product overall. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 I was pleasantly surprised with this headset! Monday, October 30, 2006 Michael Silbernagel from Santee, CA
Many years ago I moved away from Plantronics headsets and went with Jabra products because they performed better in terms of being able to hear the voice on the other end, and having a microphone that provided enough response and clarity so the person on the other end could hear what you were saying. I had been using a Jabra C650 and people were always asking me to speak up so I got this Plantronics M214-C and it just works flawlessly. My only concern is how long the plastic headband is going to work before it breaks. Only time will tell. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Pump up the volume Thursday, October 12, 2006 Robertdoc from Branchburg, NJ
The M214C Cordless Phone headset is another quality Plantronics product. It’s light, comfortable over the ear and the sound quality is acceptable. This particular model comes with a very convenient mute switch right on the wire which is more practical than the mute function of my telephone (also a Plantronics.)
On the other side of the mute switch is a volume wheel and a switch to lower the microphone volume. That is the only issue I have with the product. If you want clear sound you better pump up the volume all the way to the max, otherwise you will be dealing with a faint signal. The mic switch is just as useless. Obviously for the price one cannot expect a built in amplifier, but it seems a bit misleading to advertise a “volume control” when in fact this is just a fader wheel. By that I mean that it will lower the volume but it will not enhance it.
Other than the volume issue, the headset is a winner.

5 of 5 Got just what I wanted and fast Monday, October 02, 2006 A Customer from san jose, ca

5 of 5 Great wired headset for the price Sunday, August 06, 2006 kram from Indianapolis, IN
Great wired headset and great value. I use it on my home wireless phone as well as my cell phone in the car. Used bluetooth with great satisfaction but recently lost my charger and didn't have the money to replace it.
Pros:
1. doesn't require batteries or charging
2. long wire that can be slipped under clother for talking while working around the house
3. noise cancelling apears to work well--outside of that has pretty good sound although a little sharp on the receiving end
4. very comfortable
Cons:
1. wire
2. big, bulky and conspicuous Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 GREAT HEADSET Friday, July 14, 2006 A Customer from Jacksonville, FL
I work from home, and this headset is fabulous and comfortable. I have small dogs, and recently, one was barking nearby. I asked my friend on the other end of the line if she could hear him, and she said, "Very faintly." He was actually only about 20 feet from me, outside, and with the door open! With the door closed, she could not hear him at all, but I obviously could. Therefore, the noise-canceling microphone passed the test with flying colors!
I also like the mute option. On other headsets, you have to hold down the mute button for it to stay muted. This one has a sliding switch to remain on mute. It's great for those conference calls that I have to listen in. My phone has a mute option, but you have to push two buttons to activate mute on the phone (Uniden DCT-648 aka. DCX-640), and this mute on the headset is much more convenient and quicker to activate.
I purchased the convertible headset, Plantronics M175, and saw an identical one, Panasonic TCA98. I promptly returned it, because the over-the-ear option did not work well at all. It kept falling off my ear. With the over-the-head option, it worked “all right,” but why pay the extra expense if one of the two options doesn’t work well?
