5 of 5 Best bluetooth I've had so far Saturday, August 22, 2009 Jim from Chino Hills, CA
I bought this as a replacement for an Explorer 222 I lost, primarily because of the good reviews and sleek look. Pro: It's more comfortable than the 222 as well. The single button for functions makes it easy to use. The overall sound is very good, and it recalls the volume setting between on/off and charging cycles, unlike some more economical ones I’ve used over the past couple of years. It also pairs quickly and easily with my RAZR V3. Con: Sometimes the plastic cover slips a bit when adjusting it on my ear. I can see where maybe that is due to the design for different models or covers. Overall, I'm very happy with this one and recommend it as a very good headset for the price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent voice quality Friday, July 17, 2009 Jaimin from Houston
I love this bluetooth headset...
Pros: sleek design, for both professional and casual outfits, excellent voice clarity, comfortable to use on both ears.
Cons: you don't really need a car charger for this device. The battery life is 8 hours, enough for you to talk the whole day and recharge at night. Turning the bluetooth on uses a lot of your cellphones battery. Better have a car charger for your cell phone than a bluetooth headset. Plus you dont want to carry two car chargers at the same time. Otherwise the device is perfect. I still face problems with redialing the last number but i guess I just need to get used to it. Was this review helpful?

I have been using this for well over a year, and it has performed well for me. The only issue I have had is that I carried it around in my pocket quite a bit, and the soft rubber portion of the ear piece separated from the hard plastic part. Of course, this renders it useless. I was able to glue it back on, but it was never quite as strong as it originally was. Of course, I no longer carry it in my pocket, which can make transporting it while not in use more difficult. If you avoid stressing the earpiece I would recommend this unit. Was this review helpful?

Easy to use, great clarity, light weight, fast pairing and connection speeds. There is nothing bad with this unit. Love it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good for 1st gadget Tuesday, May 05, 2009 A Customer from Montgomery Village, MD
Good overall. Only thing that made me wish i should have taken another one was lack of regular charger. It has 2, one for the car and one for the computer but the one with regular plug charger doesnt come with the package. Was this review helpful?

I bought this as a cheap replacement for my Discovery 650 which got wet/damaged & it is great. The ear nozzle is a sturdy black rubber which does not darken & is easy to clean. (I was really annoyed by replaceable silicon earbuds b/c they look dirty after a few weeks of use) The device itself looks great and is easy to charge up compared to the Disc. 650. But without a doubt, the best aspect of the Explorer 350 is the sound quality & volume - crystal clear & really loud. Great product.
Dont be mislead by the "doesnt come with wall charger" complaint like I was. This doesnt mean that it comes with NO charger. It means that instead of a wall outlet charger, it comes with a USB charger. Plug it into your PC and you're set. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Mostly Satisfied Monday, August 18, 2008 Satisfied from Ft Worth, TX
This headset works as advertised most of the time. I get static on the headset sometimes, and the reception on the other end is easily effected by Hi-line wires. Was this review helpful?

been using it for 7 month now and it's not that good. most of the time people can't hear me well. my ear hurt when leave it for a while. can't move far from the phone, if your use on left ear have to keep it on left side if I move to right side will get static. or better yet leave it in my shirt pocket to get better sound. not good. my old voyage 510 have the same problem. 4 of 5 great headset, great price Saturday, July 19, 2008 A Customer from Sumner, WA
This headset is much better than any other I have owned. I actually bought it for my wife, who can be rather picky when she wants. She loves the way it fits, the ease of turning it on and off, and especially the voice clarity. Her one complaint is that it doesn't have a charger that plugs into the wall (our computer is at the other end of the house), This makes it a bit inconvenient. Was this review helpful?

I had the 340 Model for over a year and the rubber piece was wearing out (came out, but easily glued back in for emergency use), so kept an eye on a replacement that went on sale. I have really enjoyed the 340 & 350 models (which by the way the blue tooth headset is actually 340 for the model designated 350. The only difference is you get a car charger with the 350. It was my reason to go ahead and get the 350 for a little bit more money in order to add to my charging options.
The rubber ear piece does seem more stiff than my older one, but of course the older one is probably worn in (like you would for a pair of shoes).
Very pleased with the product. For those that never used one like this, keep in mind there is a rubber portion that goes inside of your ear to secure it in place. Paired easily with my MDA. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Happy Tuesday, June 24, 2008 A Customer from Brooklyn, NY
I bought this product because I had to return a car with built in bluetooth (which was the only place I ever used bluetooth before). It really works well and it's very comfortable and now I don't take it off when I leave the car. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Better than most! Monday, December 24, 2007 Joxxy from Long Island, NY
Most people don't seem to realize that not all phones and bluetooth headsets work together well. I guess the Plantronics Explorer 350 is the typical example.
I have been using the Voyager 510 for more than a year and I like it so much that I have 3 now (I purchased 2 additional).
When I first received the Explorer 350, I paired it with my Motorola KRZR K1 very easily, but I had a lots of static. I thought of returning it, but then I decided to try it with my Palm Treo 350. It was flawless with the palm. Almost perfect! I also paired it with a Sony Ericsson W810i and my laptop (for VOIP) and again it was almost perfect!
I also thought of testing the Voyager 510 with other phones, but since I am not getting paid for this, I gave up.
So, I realized that while the Voyager 510 was excellent on all my phones and laptop, the Explorer 350 struggles on a couple. Now, I have been using it exclusively with my Palm Treo 650 and it has been superb! I am very pleased!
Pros:
- Superb battery life
- Missed called notification
- Excellent sound quality on all ends
- Good controls
- Good and comfortable fit
Cons:
- Too much static on certain types of phones
- No noise cancelling
Why does it struggle with certain types of phone and performs well with others? I have NO idea! Something I know for sure is that this headset (Explorer 350) is excellent when used with the right phone. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 This is a very good product Friday, December 14, 2007 try64 from Covington, GA
I just purchased two of these items and I really like it. It was easy to link to my cellular phone and easy to use. I have noticed that with my husband and I using ours at the same time talking to each other, we have had some static problems, and reception issues, but not as much as with others, but for the price, it is a good deal. 5 of 5 I love this Bluetooth Friday, November 30, 2007 A Customer from Springfield Or.

5 of 5 great product - easy to use Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from annapolis, maryland
This is my first bluetooth headset and I love it. It is easy to use - charges easily with included car charger or right at your computer with included adapter - and the price is great. Highly recommend. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 My First Bluetooth Headset Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Boston, MA
I like it! It's my first ever. I used to use the wired headsets.
So I dont have another to compare it to as far as quality but it works and it works great. Conversations are clear, its confortable to wear, easy to set up and the price with all of its accessories was a plus. I did compare a lot online. I purchase this one from reviews, price and the fact it came with a car charger. I wanted to leave it in the car and prevent me from forgetting in the house. Not many come with so many accessories. I gave it a 4 for ease of use not because its dificult to use but because i thought the silver top button was an awkward design. You have to push it directly down for on/off and up/down for volume. it's not difficult just feels odd at first, the on/off anyway. oh, yes if its on and you want to use it agian as you get in your car you still have to click it on for it to find your phone signal again. You all may have known this but like i said it was my first bluetooth and that took me awhile to figure out :) It's not the prettest or the coolest looking out there but it's not bad. It's small lite weight and functional. -- Completely happy I bought others for friends. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great product Tuesday, September 25, 2007 mzmelly from Galveston, TX
Bought this product on the recommendation of a friend and am quite happy with it. It has great sound and feels secure when wearing it. Easy to set up and nice accessories. The only place I really use my bluetooth is in the car so having a car charger makes great sense. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Acceptable Monday, August 06, 2007 A Customer from Bethlehem, PA
This was my first bluetooth headset. It was easy to "hookup" and works fine. I try to speak softly when using it because my wife says I sound loud and harsh. I can hear other people loud and clear. It does seem to hang precariously on my ear, though it hasn't fallen off yet. It is very light and holds a charge well, plus the car charger is convenient since I use it almost exclusively in my car. 5 of 5 Fits Comfortably and Works as Advertised Friday, June 15, 2007 David S. from Houston, Tx.
I did a lot of research and tried out a few BT headsets before settling on this one. This is technically the 340 model, with a different set of charging capabilities.
I'm using this with a Treo 700p and the performance is good. I can keep my treo on either side of my body and don't get signal degredation like others have said. If I move the Treo more than 3 feet away I start hearing abnormalities, but less than that is fine.
I've seen others complain about the fit. I'm guessing I have an average ear - the hook is soft, pliable plastic and conforms well to my ear. The earpiece part is a harder rubber but fits perfectly for me. I like this model because the hook allows it to hang without "press fitting" into my ear (something I dislike with earbuds). 5 of 5 Works as advertised, easy to use Tuesday, June 12, 2007 John from Downers Grove, Illinois
Chose Plantronics based on reviews and primarily because headsets are Plantronics business. They can't have achieved their market position by building junk. The Plantronics 350 headset connected to my Nokia 6126 easily. Unit is comfortable (I've caught myself wearing it unawares though I resolved not to be one of those geeks who puts on their headset right after deodorant). Headset battery life far exceeds my phone battery. Sound quality is excellent, even with my too-much-time-in-front-of-the-speakers hearing. The multifunction button on headset is small and I sometimes toggled it up/down when I intended to press. Otherwise this unit would have scored a 5 on ease of use. All in all I highly recommend it. 4 of 5 Does Everything A Headset Should Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from Pleasanton, CA
Works well with my Blackberry Pearl. Volume is terrific and the talk time is good too. Two minor complaints: 1) it does seem sensitive to distance and obstacles and getting out of the car while the phone is inside sometimes sounds scratchy, 2) the unit feels like it takes forever to turn on and off which is probably really five seconds. Overall I like it much better than my old Motorola HS-850 that was 3 times the price. Buy.com delivered it quickly. Was this review helpful?

Took some manuevering to set up but the results are worthwhile! The sound is great and the fit is snug. Way better than my Motorola 350. Only downside is that it comes with a USB charger instead of a regular "plug into wall" charger. Was this review helpful?

3 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Cheap and good Wednesday, February 14, 2007 A Customer from Grand Rapids, MI
The picture is wrong for this description, or at least it was when I bought this bluetooth headset. It's my 1st bluetooth headset and I really like it. I read some reviews that say it's not comfortable but I think it feels good. I've had 4 different corded headsets and this one is much better. It is so light and the sound quality is great. I'm still not going to be one of those annoying people that wear them all the time...i just like it in the truck.
for $37, you can't go wrong. Or, you can get the same one for $25 with less accessories. As far as I'm concerned, the car adapter for carging is worth it to me bacause that's where I keep it. But, the USB charger works well too. Was this review helpful?
