Plantronics CS70 Wireless Office Headset System with Lifter

I work from the house and am on the phone constantly. I had a wired NEC headset for the last 2 years. Hated it. Did plenty of research and decided to give this wireless headset from plantronics a chance. I love it. I really like that I am able to control the outgoing volume as I couldn't with the NEC headset but the thing that is truly wonderful is the lifter. I have a big house and I can walk anywhere in the house and answer my phone. I highly recommend this unit. It's a bit overpriced but if it last me 5 years, it will be worth every penny.

I love my new headset and lifter. It really wouldn't be worth it without the lifter. It took a few trials to get the sound level/mic level just right. Well worth it!!! Thanks!!!

I work from home and I am on the phone almost all day. This headset was easy to set up and works great. I can walk around my house and don't loose any quality. The head set is also very comfortable. I would recommend for anyone who uses the phone a lot even if you don't need to walk around!! 10 out of 10

This was the best money I ever spent. It feels good on the ear and everyone I talk to tells me it is like I am using the handset. I sometimes hear static, but that may be because now the unit is a bit too close to other electronics. However, callers on the other end do not hear any static, which is more important. Also, the range is really amazing.

I have been using the wireless CS50 for quite sometime now and finally upgraded to the CS70. I am so glad I did. It is far superior than the CS50 in comfort and quality. The volume keys need some getting used to but overall I am very pleased with this product and will be buying more of them.

I have had the CS70 for a couple of weeks now, and so far it is great. Wish I had bought one years ago. I got it to ease the neck pain I had due to cradling the phone on my shoulder. It definitley helps that, but the big benefit is the freedom to work, look up documents, and move about the office while on the phone. No need to miss calls and check voice mail, etc. just because you go get a cup of coffee. Great product, easy to use and comfortable. Mut button could be easier, but I seldom use it anyway.

I am in the mortgage business and do most of my sales over the phone. And as anybody in sales knows, physiology helps you sell. So now i can feel comfortable, walk around, and do a lot of things i couldnt do before. The lifter is a necessity as you can answer the phone from 300 ft away. It was set up in 5 mins and havent had a problem with a thing yet. Not to mention i'm having my best month yet!! I HIGHLY reccomend this buy!!!

Have had it for a couple of weeks, and it is the envy of the office. Aside from great functionality (I love being able to answer and end calls away from my desk), it helps avoid unwanted conversation when you are wearing it because no one can tell when you are on the phone. Good range from what I have seen- It carries your signal through walls, etc. I love the handset lifter- it is prompt and crisp. No compromise in sound quality, and the choice of ear pieces almost feels custom. I recommend.

I just purchased mine last week. I work 12 hr. days and was worried about the battery. It lasted the whole day (of course I put it on the charger during lunch). I asked several people if they could hear me alright, no problem there and I didn't have any problem hear anyone. If there is any downside it would be the mute button. It could have been designed differently, but I don't use it that much anyway. I am very pleased with it. It is worth the money.

Overall I have been quite happy with this headset. My research shows it to be the best available of it's kind. Pros: - Sound is excellent - for both myself and the other party. The fact that I am using a headset is completely transparent. Other party cannot tell I am on a headset. - Headset is comfortable (after experimenting with the various earpieces). - Lifter performs flawlessly - I am getting about 5 hours from per charge - Charging headset dock is quite convenient Cons: - Range tends to be short of the 300ft promised. I've found several dead spots in my home that were closer to the base than I would have expected (and were without any obvious obstructions). - a bit on the expensive side - volume down button must be held for about 3-4 seconds to engage the mute. There really should be a dedicated and instand mute button on the headset.

The performance of this product is amazing to me. It worked perfectly right out of the box with no adjustments necessary. the lifter works great...I have never seen an electric lifter before. I will buying these for all my staff...6 more. Great invention.

Overall I am happy with the headset. I would definitely purchase it again. I work from home and I enjoy having a professional quality headset so I am not chained to my phone. Although I miss my in-ear headset I am happy with the sound quality and especially the comfort of the over the ear form factor. It is important to note that I wear glasses and this headset at the same time with no discomfort. The rubber like material is soft and flexible and makes for a nice fit. I had used a corded Vista amplifier and also the CA-10. I was tired of holding the battery/transmitter or getting the headset yanked off my head when the cord caught on my chair or furniture. That is all gone now with the cs70. The handset lifter is sweet! It makes picking-up and hanging-up a breeze. So much nicer to switch between the speaker phone and headset now. Just the push of a button on my headset. The volume buttons on the headset are awkward to use but I've gotten used to them. The one part that needs improvement is the mute button. You have to hold the volume-down button for three seconds to put mute on and again for three seconds to take it off. So if an unpleasant distraction comes your way you will be fumbling for the button and have to wait three seconds before it engages. Think of wailing children, noisy pets or significant others in the middle of a strategic business call. I really miss the instant mute of the CA10. Plantronics missed the boat on this one. The mute button is used so much it should have its own button. The CS70 claims it works up to 300 feet fro the base but that must only be if line of sight. My CA-10 could get me down to my kitchen (maybe 30 - 40 feet) but reception was degraded and interference became a problem. With the CA-10 I could at least go on mute and still listen. With the CS70 the signal is digital and now the sound simply drops out and becomes so choppy I cannot understand the conversation. I think the refrigerator is the culprit and a digital signal can't take the signal drop. As soon as the fridge comes between me and the base station the call breaks up. If plantronics will make an in-ear piece for the cs70 I am getting one but otherwise the headset has good sound quality. I tried moving the in-ear bud I have on another headset but Plantronics changed the connector oh so slightly to make it not fit. Since the unit was not designed for in-ear use it would probably not be a good idea to use it that way. I also wish it did a better job at detecting and increasing the volume when some folks are not loud enough and others are almost too loud. I will be on a call and pump up the volume and then drop the call and dial tone and touch tone is very load in my ear. I would rate this all fives if the mute button were like the call answer button, an instant push for instant mute. Hope this helps you with your decision.

We also have a CS50 in the office but the CS70 is a much better buy. These headsets seem like a pain at first but they are very easy to install and use and have excellent range. Definately recommended.
