I'm on the phone over 8 hours a day some days, and this has worked like a champ and frees me up from my handset. Sound quality great. Only complaint is that the headset lifter is terribly complicated to figure out, at least for busy people. But I'm happy with the headset and may order more for my company.

I work primarily from a home office and am on the phone a significant portion of the day, when not in front of customers. I purchased the CS50 to replace a GN Netcom Bluetooth system and had some doubts about the voice/reception quality. I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED IN THE LEAST! Everyone I ask says that the voice quality is much better and wants to know if I am using the normal phone handset! The reception holds up very well too when I am on the other side of the house, unlike the Bluetooth Headset, which would drop the connection. Everything worked perfectly out of the box with no setting adjustments needed for my AT&T 2-line phone system. Mine also came with the Handset Lifter and it really works well too. My only complaint is that the 'around the ear' loops could be more comfortable, since I have a tinge of soreness after awhile. They seem a bit tight or are meant for smaller ears. I could wear the standard headset, but would rather avoid the Call Center hair:)

Takes some effort to set up properly, but when finished you're left with an excellent wireless headset. I use it all day long and wander around within roughly a 100 foot area with no drops. If the setup is not done right, though, lots of static and some echo. Documentation is not perfect; definitely takes some trial-and-error. Good value.

We use these in our very busy medical practice. The ease of setup and use is great. No more complaints of sore neck and shoulders. We like that you can wear over the ear or over the head, with women that's a definite plus.

The CS50 couldn't be easier to set up and install. The quick start guide that comes with it is sufficient to get the unit up and running. Reception is clear, transmission is reported to be clear. The set of features is very good. With one exception. The mute feature beeps every 15 seconds while the unit is muted and there is no way to disable this beeping. This is very distracting if you are attending a meeting. I would have rated this unit a 5 on performance but for this one drawback. The unit is expensive but if it holds up, will end up being worth the price.

I have tried several different kinds of telephone head sets and find this to be of excellent quality. It is also half the price of the nearest competitors (at least at Buy.com). The sound is excellent, the voice quality at the other end is very good and the controls are easy to use. The only complaint I have is that the earpieces could be more comfortable.

We have been using this headset with the lifter at work for about a year, and we love it. The sound is great, there is no static, and the earpiece is comfortable. We had a little difficulty hearing with the traditional headset. It makes our lives so much easier being able to move about the office while on the phone. We highly recommend this product, and recommend getting the lifter.

Works well with good range. I had to crank up the volume setting on the back to 3 [out of 4] to get good volume levels but it works good at that level. Easy to slip over my ear with the included ear loop.

Wonderful Product! I work out of my home and I am on the phone at least 5-6 hours a day. I have had quite a few wired headsets that were not nearly as clear as this one, both from an input an output standpoint. I walk everywhere throughout my home (approx 2200 sq ft) and even outside without any degradation in sound quality. Only one small knock against this is my cell phone slightly interferes if it is tool close to the base. I highly recommend the Handset Lifter accessory for total remote answering.

Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I purchased this, but I'm sure glad that I did! Previously, I used a corded headset and was constantly frustrated by the cord dangling in the way of my work. I've had no problems with this system during the past month. Works like a charm. All the others in the office are jealous and want one now, too! Handset lifter is great for answering or ending those calls when I'm running to the printer or snack machine. Thank you Plantronics!

I am a pharmacist who has used various portable headsets for over 20 years. I cannot imagine what work would be like without one. This is the best I've used. The only slight problem for those of us who work 12-hour days is that the battery life is only about 8 hours, but it recharges very quickly.

I want to get the USB one for my VOIP (with my laptop). However, I ordered the wrong version and it ended up that I had to return it. Just make sure if you want the USB version,it is Plantronics CS50-USB.

I'm a long way from being a phone power user, but I found out a long time ago that when I'm on the phone I need to be effective. Having both hands free and the ability to get up and walk around or go retrieve something else in the office is something I now take for granted. This headset is light weight and easy to use. It would be nice if it had a shorter profile like the new bluetooth headsets for wireless phones. I've never had the charge run out and the range is at least 60 feet or more in an office with lots of walls. Overall a great solution even if it's a little expensive. PS Much of this products effectiveness is due to the lifter which costs extra. If you're not planning to buy the lifter give it a second thought, you won't be sorry you spent the extra money several months downt the road but you will be sorry you didn't.

I've been using the CS50 at work for over a year now, and it is one of the best purchases I've ever made -- I love it. I had used a corded headset for years, then my work area expanded, and the cord kept getting caught on things. I spend only about an hour or so on the phone per day, so I was skeptical that spending this much money would be worth it. The CS50 not only leaves both hands free, it lets me wander through the office gathering references and looking things up while I'm talking with clients and vendors. I have had absolutely zero problems with it; it works as perfectly now as it did when I first opened it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Oh yeah, and the best price I found (and I looked around) was at buy.com.

The reception quality of this device is amazing, even when I get up from my desk while on a conference call to walk to the soda machine for a beverage (how nice is that!). Now that a number of my co-workers have picked up on how nice it is, there are a number of these floating around the office (I'd say about 5 in addition to mine within close range) and we do not seem to be having interference problems as our IT guy had feared we might.

This is one of those items that you aren't sure how you lived without. We currently have 4 of these in our office and haven't had a problem with any of them. I was worried at first about interferrence between units, but it isn't even a factor. Each one is used in conjunction with a Plantronics Handset lifter (Item #CT35LT or #E29CCP). You can be across the entire office (300 feet in our situation) and it still sounds just like you are on a regular handset. I highly recommend this product.

I own a small, growing business and bought my first CS50 in mid 2004. Every time I add a staff member, the CS50 is the first item I provide them. None of us like the earpiece, but the headband is comfortable enough to wear all day. We consider this item as indispensible as our computers. Even better than the convenience and mobility is the clarity on both ends...better than any hard-wired or cordless phone I've found. Never needed customer support to install or use; one minor service issue was handled immediately and to our complete satisfaction. I'll never be without one.

I have now used this wireless head-set for 5 weeks - and I love it! I have used 3 different head-sets in the past 14 years. This is truly the best. The range is at least 125 feet (farthest I have tested it so far). It seems to do a good (not perfect) job of blocking out background noises. Certainly better than I expected. I did not believe the claims before I purchased - and purchased with skepticism. I was wrong. This is a great product. Well worth the $170 I paid.

I have used wired headsets from Plantronics for years and when I saw this one at Buy.com at a great price I grabbed it. It was easy to setup, has worked very well and now I wouldn't want to get along without it. I love the freedom to walk around and still use the phone. In fact, I liked it so much I bought a second one for another location in the building. I've had the first one 9 months and have found the quality excellent, easy to setup and use. It's easy to put on and take off. In the nine months I've had to "reboot" it 3-4 times by pushing two buttons in a certain sequence and that has been the only maintenance. It has several adjustments to custom configure it to the phone system and been easy to do. I highly recommend a wireless headset and this one in particular.

Very convenient and sounds great. Can be tricky to set up. Will get echoing from the mic in the earpiece, or low - far away sound if not set up properly. Would be perfect if it didn't need to be attached to a phone. BTW, can't be used with a Princess type phone that has everything in the handset. The remote lifter works well too.

I have been using this headset for over a year and it is one of the best business tools that I have purchased. It is comfortable, the battery has been perfect, its easy to use, and it works over an impressive distance. Make sure you buy the handset lifter with it too. The noise cancelling is very good also. I have a stereo in my office and even at volumes that make it difficult for me to hear the conversation, the music cannot be heard on the other end of the line. Good stuff. Plantronics is an awesome and responsive company too. I had a problem with the ear clip and they sent me three new packages without question and apologized . They understand the value of a happy customer.

I am the IT person for our small business. Our sales department tested two of these units out and now we are working on getting them for everyone. They both found the ear hook a little uncomfortable. One toughed it out and one switched to the head band style. They also took some time to adjust and make sure the customers could hear them and that they could hear the customers. This took about 2 weeks of fine tuning, but now they love the freedom. Great product!

Have been using a CS50 for the past six months. I have never run out of battery power during the day if I charge it over night. It is clear to the people on the other end. Use it with broadband telephone system calling nationwide. Range allows me to roam over a hundred feet with no problem, it beeps when you start getting out of range. Did not find the "over the ear" CS50 holder comfortable, use the headband one supplied. CS50 is light enough to wear all day, have forgot I had it on at the end of the day. Would buy another one another one. Has met or exceeded all my expectations, except for the over the ear holder. I required some assistance from Plantronics to get it set-up initially. Customer service has been knowledgeable and helpful.

I love it it works great! I work on the 3rd floor and when I walk down to the 1st floor it still works. Very satisfied with it. It would not be as great without the automatic lifter. It's a definite must have for anyone getting this headset!
