5 of 5 Good fit and good usage Wednesday, April 22, 2009 Salasman from Sugar Land, TX
So far, so good. Now, I don't use this for hours at a time, but when I have, it's been fine. A good deal at buy.com, so great for my limited usage periods. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Not so comfortable on the ears Saturday, March 07, 2009 Nik from Beaverton, OR
The only thing poor I can say about this headset is that I can't wear it for 10 hours straight without taking it off for a few minutes. Not sure if my head is too big or ears are too sensative, but they hurt after nearly half a day.
Otherwise we're good to go! For the price, they're great sound quality. I move the mic around on my headsets a lot and this boom mic is the first in a long line of headsets that will very obviously stand up to abuse. Usually the mic comes apart where it connects to the ear piece after enough movement, but this is rock solid. Great mic clarity, or so say my Skype friends. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Bargain for a Great Headset Wednesday, February 25, 2009 A Customer from Ft Lauderdale, FL
I run a call center, this headset integrated easily into all operating systems(some headsets have issues with plug and play). The sound quality is phenomenal, clear and crisp sound. The mic can be bent towards the users mouth for better reception, it picks up sound well and the callers tell me the sound quality is perfect. Only complaint is the vinylish ear cups make for sweaty ears... Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Inexpensive Headset Tuesday, January 27, 2009 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
I got this headset to use with voice recognition through Vista. Reception is quite clear -- it works much better than my previous headset. Earpieces are large but comfortable. The mic boom is more stable than most. Quite the bargain, really.

5 of 5 Comfortable on the ears... Tuesday, January 27, 2009 Ready from Long Beach, California
Large but surprisingly light weight, I find these headphones to be comfortable on the ears a will deliver an excellent sound - almost as good as my Grado's..! I've owned and used many different types of headphone and I find that these are just plain good. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra $'s to enjoy the comfort and sound quality. 5 of 5 Wow great stuff here Wednesday, January 07, 2009 Bucky from Dallas Texas
The headphones are not for the folks who like feather light headsets! They are big compared to most and are excellent! The audio ranges I now hear is wild and the boom mic is excellent! Could not find a better set anywhere for the money! After spending twice as much for inferior headsets I am very pleased! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great headphone sound Sunday, November 16, 2008 Mike W from Trout Lake, WA
I bought the plantronics because I wanted a good quality headphone with a microphone to use with speech recognition software. The USB and miniplug adaptors sealed the deal.
The headhones are reasonably comfortable and have good response, and the $30 price is unbeatable. As usual, the service from Buy.com was first rate.

3 of 5 Incomfortable headset Saturday, September 27, 2008 A Customer from Purcellville, VA
If you have square ears, this headphone is for you!
The sound quality is good, the microphone works well, the dual use USB/analog is great. Unfortunately this is an incomfortable headset because the ear-cups have a square shape which does not allow the whole ear to fit comfortably.

I have been using Plantronic headsets for years and have always been happy with my decision. This is my latest and overall it's a good value but I do have to say one negative thing. I am use to using the DSP-500, pretty much the standard I set for all headsets. Unfortunately that model is no longer available and so after my last DSP-500 finally bit the dust I had to venture into new territory. In terms of sound, the .Audio 650 is not bad, not as good as the 500 but certainly acceptable. Comfort however is why I did not give it a 5 rating. I will play WOW for hours and if your like me you won't be happy with a headset that hurts your ears over time. However, the casual user will probably never notice. For the money though, still a good bargain but I will be looking for another as my main headset and these will be a good backup just in case! (hope this helps) Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great sound for the price, can't go wrong Monday, June 16, 2008 A Customer from houston, tx.
Headphones I've had in the pass are the plantronics DSP-500 (now gamepro)and a4tech HD-800 usb.
The 650 headset is great; has crisp, realistic sounds and has a bit of surround sound (or placement sound ie. footsteps, gun shots, dogs barking) but it does not rival other expensive headsets with surround sounds (at least for FPS situations).
If listening to music, then its great. Shooting games - its very good for its price but not as precise as other expensive headsets. That's not as to say it won't compete with other headsets, you'll just have to use your imagination a little bit (and if you're actually good then it won't matter as long as you know which location they're shooting at). The mic is also great, very clear for other people on ventrilo to hear.
This is the second headset that I got from plantronics and this is the second time I'm satisfied - they make great, inexpensive headsets. I highly recommend this headset to anyone.
P.S. Of course if you're looking for high end sound then you may have to spend a bit more than 30 bucks. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Performs very well Sunday, June 08, 2008 Sam M from Canton, MI
I was looking for a headset that would work well for VOIP conversations, multimedia use, speech recognition and had USB connectivity. This one has good sound, very good microphone, is easy to use priced very reasonable, and Buy.com's free shipping was available. The leather type ear pads made my ears sweat and uncomfortable. So, I got a black pillow case and cut 2 pieces that fit snug over the ear pads and used a rubber band to sucure them. Now they feel great. I have purchaed 6-7 headsets prior to this with my last being the Plantronics GameProCom 1 and this has by far the best microphone pickup.

5 of 5 Headset for PS3 Tuesday, April 15, 2008 A Customer from Saratoga Springs, NY
I recently purchased the Plantronics .Audio 650 USB Multimedia Stereo Headset for my son's PS3 not knowing if the unit would work on the system, to my surprise it works great. The headphone jack needs to be plugged into the tv directly for sound and the usb connection into the PS3 for voice. Nice inexpensive unit for the PS3. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 great value Tuesday, April 01, 2008 A Customer from Florida
The headset is comfortable to use and has very good audio. The only difficulty I encountered was the audio quality using a USB connection. Audio with the USB was scratchy and unsatisfactory. However, when I used the separate jacks (one for mike and one for headset), audio was excellent. The headset jack went into my speakers jack -- so I bought a splitter for that jack which enables me to keep the speakers and headset simultaneously available.
All in all, it's working the way I want (for voice recognition and VoIP) and I'm pleased. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Awesome Headset Tuesday, February 26, 2008 A Customer from Springfield, MO
I am using this for online gaming specifically C&C3 and it works great. Plug & Play instantly loaded drivers without any hassle. Sound is fantastic and the mic works wonderfully. For the price I think you can't go wrong. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 did what I wanted Wednesday, December 12, 2007 A Customer from Walnut Creek, CA
The only criticism I have of this item is that it should have had a manual included in the package. It is pretty much plug and play. However, neither the package nor the Plantronics website had any information about settings, controls, etc.--but since it did just fine when I plugged it in, at least I can say that it worked fine on my computer (Windows XP/SP2).
