2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Slick little unit, a couple of annoying things Sunday, March 29, 2009 Dave in MT from Hamilton, MT
I've been an XM customer for a long time and this is my first foray into portable units. Bottom line; embrace the docking unit for an antenna because it hasn't been much on the go. Overall, I like it a lot. Compact, the buds that come with it are decent, etc. One thing I do not like about it is that when it records songs, it will nip off the very end of a song. Also, sometimes a song records "twice", the recording starts then stops, then starts again. The list looks like you have 2 of the same songs back to back but you don't. My conclusion for this and for the end nipping is that it records and stops based on sound level. It also records "songs" that are just the DJ filling between real songs. You can record blocks of music at a time, and you can play one of those blocks as a "song", but you can't go into that block and delete single songs, etc. I was hoping I didn't have to hook this up to my PC to do song mangement but it looks like that's the way you have to go if you want something past raw recordings. I don't regret buying it; these are the only downers I found so I thought I'd pass them along. Was this review helpful?
