    I have also been hunting for a reasonable solution to transfer my Hi8 recordings into my iMac and in Pinnacle I seem to have found it. I have read all the reviews and accept the reviews as true and have rated the product based on them since I have not yet made use of it. Since I want to edit my recordings on the Mac I wonder why it takes two steps and for that matter time consuming steps to get the recordings to iMovie, but may be it is me who is not quite the expert. My 4 rating is because of the two step approach.

    This is a piece of cake product. Within 15 minutes I was downloading a VHS tape. Downloads in real time so don't be in a hurry to get thru your tapes. As specified, file is created in Itunes on the MAC. Of course you watch the video as it is being downloaded.

    After browsing through many different products, all of which were hundreds of dollars in price, I decided to go with Pinnacle. After touring their product on their website, it looked to be the simplest means of video transfer to my Mac. I couldn't be more pleased. It's so easy! I was able to transfer my family movies within a few days. Great product!

    I have been looking for a good capture device for my mac and I wanted it mainly for capturing films off of my xbox for montages, It works SO well. It is perfect. I could not be happier with it. THe picture quality is great, I import the clips directly from itunes to imovie and it is very easy to use.
