The Studio series has always been a strong contender, but it has suffered lately due to Pinnacle's rush to ship still-buggy products and their shameful failure to support existing customers. Time and again, Pinnacle told existing customers their only solution for Studio bugs is to buy the new version. Unfortunately, each new version, including this one, has a host of new bugs.
Version 10 has been especially buggy, and while 10.5 is finally better, significant problems remain. If it follows the history of 9.x, this will be about the point where Pinnacle stops offering patches and starts telling people to buy an upgrade to 11. My recommendation is to consider one of the other video editing packages offered by buy.com. Was this review helpful?

This is by far the easiest video editing program out there. I have been using Studio since version 8 and put together yearly dvd videos of my kids for family and friends...they are always a hit.
With a video capture device you can easily capture tv shows from your Tivo, import them into Studio and then export to Ipod and PSP. Who needs to pay iTunes $1.99 per show when you can do it this way?

I almost gave up on Pinnacle when I bought Studio Plus version 10. Couldn't get everything to work and it was really slow. So I gave them one more chance and upgraded to the Studio Plus 10.5 Titanium Edition. How sweet! I am finally editing all my videos and all my problems have been solved. Coolest thing is the export to iPod feature. Use to take me forever to figure out the correct bitrates and codec and resolution - now it's a one button thing when you're done with your video! 5 out or 5 all the way! Great product.
