I have been working with Pinnacle's live chat tech support for over 4 days now and still have not been able to resolve the error and crash I am getting trying to use Instant DVD Recorder. After running into this problem I have discovered that many other have had problems with using Pinnacle's 'buggy' software. Was this review helpful?

I wasted my entire weekend trying to get this software to work. After downloading several new drivers, patches, updates, etc., it still failed to perform as advertised. I should have spent the extra money on an interface for my Mac and my project would probably be done by now. Was this review helpful?

This product works adequately for video capture to a file. The other advertised functions do not work as described, or at all.
The direct capture to a DVD does not work. When using this option it will only allow capture to a disk drive. It then saves the captured video to files. You are on your own from there create your DVD.
The version of Pinnacle Studio 10 that is included with this product is ad-ware with very limited capabilities. For most edit function you get a message that says 'to use this feature you must upgrade... click here to buy'. To make it worse you only get this message when you try to save your work. This means you can spend a lot of time on a project and can't save your work.
I have not found anything you can really do with this product except save captured video to a file. There are far less expensive products to do this.
This product provides minimal functionality and borders on fraud.
I cannot recommend this product for anything. It is a rip off. Was this review helpful?

Software installation takes longer than producing a DVD.
Haven't checked CPU usage, etc, yet but I just keep on surfing net while DVD burns with no slow down. Was this review helpful?
