I bought this machine for use in baby nursery, main advantages are:
1. It has a remote
2. When I get tired of baby songs, I can switch to FM radio
3. Small footprint
4. 3 levels of panel dimming, very good for nursery.
Sound quality is pretty good, although not as good as Sony clock radio, but then it's cheaper than Sony's.
One thing I don't like: there is no way to change playlist from remote (Sony's iPod clock radio does). One has to go up to the iPod and change it there.

This was a gift for my 13-year old granddaughter. Sound quality is very good for a table-top radio. She used it at her party to play music on her iPod Nano, and was very happy with the volume and quality. It's neat looking, has a fairly small "foot print", and looks to be well-made. This product is perfect for my needs. It has a small footprint and isn't too tall. Best of all the ipod sits against the product, not on top of it like so many other devices in this category, so it is impossible to knock the ipod off the device when reaching for things like the lamp. The radio stations came in clearly even before I unwrapped the antenna. The remote works perfectly and is a nice addition to this device. You have the choice of waking up to a radio station, the ipod or a buzzer. The dual alarm is helpful and easy to program. There are varying degrees of brightness for the light (or you can turn it off completely) which is a nice feature...always nice to have a choice. The alarm (buzzer) isn't too loud but instead seems just right. There were a sufficient number of dock inserts so I was able to choose one that was perfect for my ipod. I particularly enjoy the feature that allows me to go to sleep to the music on my ipod...and there are choices as to how long you want the music to play. Lastly and probably most surprising to me, the sound is pretty darn good considering it is a smallish device and not made by Bose :) All in all a thoughtfully designed product that works great.
In addition, if you are going to buy this product definitely buy it from Buy.com. I had originally tried to buy it from Target and it came without the remote, only had two docking inserts and there was a short in the wire. I purchased two of these from Buy.com and both came with everything they were supposed to and worked perfectly right out of the box! Was this review helpful?

This dock is just what I was looking for. It has an auxiliary input which is great for my XM satellite receiver and an FM tuner. I have it in my office on my desk and it takes up very little space. Sound is good at the level I use, I can't blast it in the office. Nice size digital clock display and I can turn off the backlight which I don't need at work. Remote control is nice, just wish it could control the iPod menus. Was this review helpful?

I wanted a radio/iPod dock for my kitchen. I was looking for something with a small footprint, and this one totally fits the bill. It actually sits on a windowsill and doesn't take any counterspace.
<p>
Pros: Great sound, nice remote, good integration with the iPod controls, plenty of power, three level dimmer on clock backlight, external wire FM antenna. Surprisingly good bass via dedicated bass driver.
<p>
Cons: No battery backup for clock (unplugg it for 5 seconds to move it, and you have to reset the time and date.) FM reception not the greatest, but OK. Weak stations hard to get in comparison to my boombox.
<p>
The finish and controls operation is very nice, nothing cheesy or cheap on this unit. Was this review helpful?

They could have included an option to control the ipod volume for the alarm function .. .apart from that.. great product.. love the bass this little thing can punch out.. I also own a harmon kardon HKTS-14 speaker system.. but whenever i want to listen to my ipod.. this becomes the obvious choice..

My son got this for his birthday. It is very solid, the sound is great, easy to use. Doesn't feel cheap at all. My only complaint is that when you use the IPOD for the wake up alarm, the sound revs up to full volume within 2 seconds. Quite a way to wake up. We have tried putting the volume down to almost nothing the night before and the machine revs it right up in the morning. All in all though I am very satisfied with the unit. Was this review helpful?

This is a great substitute for the more expensive Bose system.
Despite no carrying case, it's still quite portable because of its compact size.
The only thing you can't do is, scroll through the menu.

my wife has been wanting something like this for a while. got her one for mothers day and this thing sounds great. its easy to use and has some cool features. remote is nice too. the only downside to it is that it comes with about 25 dock adapters. i have no idea what to do with them all. saving grace about that is that you dont really need them at all. at least not with and ipod.
