Multiple Viewing Modes
Flexible display modes give you the freedom to display your photos in a variety of different views. You can display your photos one image at a time, in thumbnail mode for quick and easy searches, or create a slideshow of your favorite photos. You can even display the same photo continuously for 1,000 hours without any damage to the LCD screen.
Keep in mind that Philips digital photo frames are compatible with JPEG files. The JPEG format is in accordance with the camera industry standards and the frame is designed to display photos with the same industry standards. Pictures that are not in JPEG format, such as web, scanned or RAW images, cannot be displayed on the digital photo frame. However, these images can be converted to the JPEG format for the digital photo frame using specific computer applications.
You can switch between different slideshow photos by using different memory cards. When a memory card is connected to the digital photo frame, the slideshow will play photos stored on that specific card. By permanently inserting a memory card into the digital frame, it will perform the same functions as the internal memory. By using two memory card slots simultaneously, one memory card slot can be dedicated for external memory and the other for reading and copying pictures from the camera memory card.
Multiple Photo Collage Effect
The Multiple-photo collage is a slideshow effect that displays your photos in collage form that will automatically and randomly compile different photos together to avoid unattractive borders that may result from photos which are smaller than screen size.
Memory Card
The digital photo frame has some built-in memory (10MB) that stores a few of your favorite pictures directly onto the frame. The purpose of this small internal memory is to store a few pictures in order to display them on your frame when a memory card is not inserted in the frame. The internal memory on your digital photo frame is a fixed amount and cannot be expanded. However, you can increase the amount of pictures that can be displayed by using memory cards with larger memory capacity. The digital photo frame features two built-in memory card readers for easy viewing and sharing of photos stored on the memory cards.
Smart Copy
The digital photo frame can read two memory cards at the same time via its internal memory card readers. The Smart Copy software helps you to copy your digital pictures from one memory card to the other while automatically resizing and compressing the copied photos to maximize the amount of photos you can store internally or externally. The frame confirms photos have successfully been stored with the "Photo Copied" message.

Easy USB Connectivity
The digital photo frame features a USB slave connection so you can quickly download pictures directly from your computer to the memory card inserted in your digital photo frame. The high-speed USB connection is conveniently located and easy-to-use and is used for reading, writing, loading or transferring picture files from your PC, Mac or camera.
Power
The digital photo frame is AC and battery powered, giving you the option to hang your frame on a wall or display it on a table or shelf. Frame will operate for up to one hour on battery power. Frame charges in four hours while system is off and in nine hours while system is on.
Auto On/Off
A timer turns the digital photo frame on and off at the hours you select, reducing energy consumption for the sake of our environment and it saves up to one third of your digital photo frame energy costs. In the case that the frame fails to respond, frame has a reset button that will restore the system.

This frame not only has a high resolution to make your pictures look great but is also very simple to use. I just snapped a few pictures with my camera and put the sd card into the frame and transfered the ones I wanted to the frames memory. This took me less than 5 min. to do. The slide show feature is unique in that you can set the way the pictures change, like make them roll up, peel away, pop in like puzzle pieces....... when switching to the next pic. My JPEG images look great on this DPF with lush, natural colors and no problems with default photo settings. The photos I'm using are mostly 4 MP and some scanned images from various media. No further compression so I only get 1000+ pics on a 2 GB CF.
The manual is weak in details so I'll explore the CD next. Feels heavier than other DPFs and so is more stable on flat viewing surfaces. I like the built-in timer, batteries and clock option (still haven't figured everything out). Well worth the money if you can get it for under $70. Was this review helpful?

I ordered 2 of these for Christmas gifts. I loaded them with 650 pictures on the internal memory and added a 1 gig card with sevearl hundred more and then sent them to the happy grandparents. It took me a while to figure out the setup and how to work the controls to get where I wanted. It has settings for brightness, language, alarm clock, time and date, and auto on/off. After I got it set up I put a 1gb SD card in my PC and installed photos on it and then put the SD card into the photo frame (it also takes other types of memory cards). Fortunately all my photos are JPG and that's the format that's used. As soon as I inserted the SD card the photo slide show started; it was so cool! I ended up changing the brightness to mid way because some of the photos looked too bright. Smaller photos are framed in a letterbox and they look good to me. Was this review helpful?

Almost all other 7" frame brands will give you only a resolution of 480 X 324 or near - where the picture look very very grainy. This 720 * 480 is the optimal or more than optimal resolution for a 7" size frame.
It is perfect in every sense.

The finish and looks are really awesome. Very Mac/apple-like in design, packaging, and User Interface.A bit heavy since it is having a nice built. (that is not a -ive point though)

I am very happy with this photo frame. The quality of the pictures and the unit itself is superior to two other brands which are owned by friends. It is very easy to load pictures using the pc to move pictures from pc to photoframe to memory card etc. This one has an internal battery, so the frame can be moved from room to room easily. I rated ease of use a 4 due to the small button controls, but once you get used to them, it's ok. It's great that a USB cord was included as well as a wall adapter. I'd love to have more frames (a wooden one would be nice) than just the silver one that was included, and music, but oh, well, it's great as is!! Fantastic value for the price! Pictures are great. Pretty easy to use. One flaw is that magnets that hold the silver cover of the frame to the device keep coming unglued and the silver cover falls off when you touch it or pick it up to upload pictures. The magnets needed a better quality glue. Other than the frame falling apart at times, it is offers great quality images and support. Was this review helpful?
