In a previous review, I complained that the Live View feature stopped working. The problem was simply a wrong menu setting. It's annoying that the setting changed without my intervention, but the remedy was just to change it back.
I do find the automatic white balance inconsistent, but off-color results are easily corrected. Other white balance settings, such as shade, are not to my liking, but the camera allows these to be modified.
With its multiple options, the camera is complicated and not particularly easy to use, but it is designed for informed users, amateur and professional, who will make an effort because they value precision and control.
Overall, I am pleased with the Pentax K20d and would recommend it to serious photographers. With its extensive set of sophisticated features, it is a bargain Was this review helpful?
