5 of 5 Good Product Monday, December 08, 2008 A Customer from Auburn, AL
Works as advertised. We're using it in our business to provide coverage in offices located below ground level. Connected antenna to 100' RG6 cable (bought home depot) so we could place antenna on roof. Now get 3-4 bars of coverage where none was available before. We're happy with the product. 5 of 5 Works great Sunday, May 04, 2008 A Customer from Long Island, NY
I was very skeptical at first, but I had to do something. I live in a basement apartment and could not get a good signal. I had good service outside but it would not get through to my basement. After hooking it up, I went from no bars of service to 4 bars of service. I am very satisfied. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Does what it says it does Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Ypsilanti, MI
This product works pretty well. The only draw back is the high price.
I got it for my parents to use at their cottage where the signal from sprint is very weak and data service is intermittent. We put the antenna high up on a wall on second floor and the base unit downstairs in the living area. The Cell signal improved by a steady two bars, and the the data service was steady if a little slow.
I also tested this at a friend's house where the signal was non-existent through most of the house. We put the antenna in the one room with some signal and put the base unit in the middle of the house and then there was some signal (about two bars) through most of the house. 1 of 5 Do not buy this product Tuesday, March 13, 2007 A Customer from Atlanta, GA
Installed just like it said and the performance is horrible. What they don't tell you is to get the full benefit you literally have to tap your phone on the antenna to get it to work, then stay within 2 feet of it. I placed the main antenna where I have 2 bars so I should get two bars throughout my house - nope, I get sometimes 1 sometimes 0 unless I am within 2 feet and have tapped the unit.
Others have had good experiences with this, I have not so to me it is not worth the cost. Was this review helpful?
2 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 It works, best current value Tuesday, October 24, 2006 A Customer from Glenwood Springs, CO
I was skeptical, so I bought this at buy.com because of their great return policy. But the unit works really well. I mounted the antenna outside (not attic), which I think improved performance. Ran the coax, and the unit increased reception from no bars inside my house to 5 bars. The signal starts to fade about 50 ft away from the base unit, but then this unit costs a lot less than the ones that can cover large houses. All in all, I'm very pleased with the performance and easy installation of this unit (assuming you're comfortable on a ladder and can drill a hole or two). It has improved my cell service so much I'm considering abandoning my land line! Was this review helpful?
