5 of 5 Good product at a good price Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Bought this for my old PC running Windows2000 Pro. The original computer only has a couple of USB 1.1 ports, which are fine for things like mouse and keyboard, but for other things like external hard drive and DVD burner, it simply was WAAAAAY too slow. Poped in this UBS2.0 card, system automatically recognized it, and within a few minutes, I had five extra high speed ports. Due to the old CPU and memory speed, the data speed is not that fast, but still, I easily get 5-8 times improvements. I'm also glad that I chose the 5-port version over the 4-port version, for a couple of $ more. You cannot have too many USB ports. Was this review helpful?
