Purchased this PCI card to be able to add an eSATA port to my Sony VAIO desktop running Windows XP. It was a bargain price and easy to install. It performs well and allowed me to connect an external 1TB drive for storage/backup. Files transfer to external drive quickly and I can watch videos, etc. stored on the drive with no buffering or lag time using the eSATA port. I would highly recommend this product. This card does not work with a Dell Dimension 3000 running XP. Causes the system to lock up when plugged into an external HDD thru the eSata port. Same external HDD works just fine on my computer when connected via USB 2.0.

On the new name brand PC I have, I realized it did not have IDE slots. I wanted to reuse a very nice DVD burner I have. This card just plug and played. Works as describe. I have heard of the brand Eforcity in the past, they mainly deal with gadgets and accesories. I purchase this mainly because the price and feel they did a good job shipping to me.
