This publication deals solely with trade in goods, i.e. agricultural products, energy and manufactured products. Its aim is to provide essential information on medium- and long-term trends of the EU external trade. It uses annual statistics in an effort to highlight the main features and salient trends of the European Union''s external trade between 1988 and 2001.
