Panasonic is a reliable brand; this is a nice upgrade to an older Panasonic rice cooker I used to have. Very easy direction to follow; I would use the "quick cook" feature to cook brown rice in 30-40 minutes, otherwise use the regular setting "brown rice" when you're away for a few hrs. Parts are removable for easy cleaning. The lithium battery doesn't seem easy to get to, manual book suggested to bring to a service center for replacement. I would highly recommend this to others.
