Perfect for capturing your most important memories, the SDR-H60 boasts Panasonic's Advanced MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization), which detects and corrects hand-shake approximately 4,000 times per second, which is about eight times more effective than Panasonic’s previous systems. The SDR-H60 also offers a super-powerful 50x optical zoom so you can always get a great shot, even from a distance.

Record to either SD (or SDHC) memory cards or to the built-in 60 GB HDD, which features enough storage space for up to 54 hours of footage. The SDR-H60 also feature an Anti-Shock Shield that helps protect the built-in hard disk from external impact, making it suitable for rugged conditions.

This camcorder is a great value. The price through Buy.com marketplace was too good to pass up. As a casual-use device, it is easy to operate and provides reasonable picture quality under most circumstances. Most functions are intuitive and easy-to-access. It has a superior zoom range and sharp optics. Low-light conditions are its principle downfall, as images look washed-out. The ability to record to the internal hard drive or an optional SDHC card is a plus. I like having the option of inserting the SDHC card into my computer for uploading and editing videos (though not with the provided software). Heavy users will want to invest in a battery having increased capacity. For casual, non-critical use, I highly recommend this camcorder.

I've only had this a short while but thus far seems to work well. The still pictures are very low quality and difficult to capture since there is no flash or light. That is one thing it needs, the low light option doesn't work very well at all. But the overall function otherwise is great. As for transferring videos it was great. The format it uses did not work with my Windows Media Player so I had to open it in Movie Maker and then save in a different format to be able to view the movies when it wasn't on my camera. I think Christmas will be the telling sign of whether or not this item was worth the money but so far I'd say yes.
