5 of 5 ok but not impressed Monday, March 02, 2009 A Customer from Birmingham, ALABAMA
The quality of the earpiece is not good at all. For cell phone use is ok but not for your music. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Disappointing Sunday, March 01, 2009 Jewels from Salina, KS
I was really excited to get these because I use my iPod at my desk every day and catch my cord on my chair all the time, but the product has been mostly disappointing and I find I'm not even using it after about 2 weeks. The inability to change tracks turns out to be really annoying, the controls that are available don't work particularly well and the battry life is pretty short. Plus, the part that jacks into the iPod doesn't stay in securly so I really can't put my iPod in my pocket and walk around. The sound and range are decent enough, so there's that. 5 of 5 Great Product Saturday, February 28, 2009 Jake from Columbus OH
I cannot remember the last time I was as satisfied with a purchase. This product works with my Ipod, but it also works with my Laptop, letting me watch movies with the headphones on. The controls are quite handy. I notice that some people complain about the cord length, but I just clip it onto the collar of my shirt and the thing works great. I love being able to leave my Ipod on a table then move around the gym to work out. Great product Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 OK, but ..... Monday, February 09, 2009 Tried them all from Boston
It has a NiMH battery - standby is only 24 hours, playback about 3.5 hours - - not good if you are traveling and forget your charger - documentation says 300 charges (i.e. about 1-2 years if you use it daily) - problem easily solved - buy a headset with a Li battery (e.g. Plantronics 260). Good feature is the 3.5 mm jack that you can use any head-phone with - however, if the cord is too long, then you need to fish for the mic (attached to the device) if you want to answer a phone call using this device. 5 of 5 Amazing Tuesday, February 03, 2009 A Customer from The World
Excellent idea, quality item. I don't have to worry about dropping my iPod out of my pocket anymore because if this receiver drops, it just pulls on my earbuds a little. I like that I can use any kind of my own headsets/earbuds. A hold function would be nice, but that fact doesn't have any major negative points for me. The receiver works with my G'zOne Boulder, and my HP 64-bit Vista Ultimate laptop. The transmitter works with my friends speakers too. This would still be an excellent buy if I hadn't gotten it for over $100 off. Normal Bluetooth range, great for wandering around a room listening to music or a movie Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Exceeds my expectations Saturday, January 24, 2009 A Customer from Pittsford, NY
Not perfect, but works well. I use my own headphones and can't tell difference between using the bluetooth connection or plugging directly into iPod.
Issues other's have stated apply to me as well. I use this for working out and clip it onto the collar of my shirt. I'm sure the next iteration of this product will address the shortcomings. I just hope it is priced as good as this one is. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 hands free Wednesday, January 07, 2009 Yvette C. from brooklyn, New York
I thought it was a great idea at first. The connection was great the headphones could be a little longer and the transmitter should come with a carrying case it doesn't stay in if you put it in your pocket when you take it out it's coming right off and that not a good thing once it detaches from the ipod you have to pair it again and it doesn't move swiftly. Not recommended for ipod touch but it doesn't tell you until you purchase it but overall it's a good tool to have a would recommend. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Bluetooth Thursday, January 01, 2009 Oldr4me from Studio City, CA
Overall, this is a better than most bluetooth packages. Better than most because of the ability to use your own headphones as well as the ones supplied. I have UE headphones that are far superior to those supplied and now they are BT as well. The only con to the system is that the iPod attachment does not have any form of latch to hold it to the music player so it tends to detach when in a pocket or the like. I use a rubber band which is not the most attractive option but until I come up with a better solution it will have to do. I have found that the reception is very clear and far better than other BT units I have used. For the price it was well worth it. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Not sure what they're for Tuesday, December 30, 2008 Ed from Cleveland, Ohio
I intended to use these while exercising (running) but the rather large receiver/clip does not stay clipped on (not enough tension on the clip) so I really can not figure out where to use this. On the plus side, the setup was easy and reception between i-pod and receiver. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 good for the price Tuesday, December 30, 2008 A Customer from NYC
The remote gets in the way sometimes. It is a bit bulky and not sure where to exactly keep it. Not always convenient to clip to me. Also, not long enough to reach my pockets. Like the option though. Does drain my IPod battery. But for the price it is great. I don't use the microphone but I do also have it connected to listen to music on my Blackberry Storm; works well. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good IPod Bluetooth headset for the price Tuesday, December 30, 2008 A Customer from Columbus, OH
Looked around at Bluetooth options for the Ipod, and this was by far the least expensive option (most were over $100). I was afraid that the controller did not have a clip, but the design of the controller was a large clip (not too heavy). Nice to be able to plug in your own headphones, but the ones that came with the set are better then the ones from Apple. I had some problems initially charging the unit (light will stay on when charging until fully charged). And paring the unit was a little difficult (hense the 3 for ease of use). But once the unit is charged and pared it works like a charm. I have yet to try to pair this with a BT enabled phone, but I am not expecting great results. Looked at Plantronics Pulsar 260 as well, but decided to go with this unit for price and read that the 260 cords were too long (and can't use your own headphones).
Overall great set for the value price, if you can get past the paring and charging quirks. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great value -- Versatile 2-piece bluetooth transmi Monday, December 29, 2008 John from San Diego
A great value (for $25). This works fine with my new generation 2008 iPods, my bluetooth Sony-Ericsson cell phone, my bluetooth Toshiba Qosmio laptop PC, and my home stereo, and my other headphones. My only gripe is the short (4 hour) battery life before needing a 3 hour recharge, and the fact the the unit operates erratically -- or fails to sync -- when the battery charge is low. Otherwise, the stereo sound quality is quite good over an easily established bluetooth connection. The fair quality headhones can be replaced with your own better set.
I am impressed that the Panasonic RP-BT10 is such a useful device. It's compatible with my new 2008 IPod Nano 16GB and my iPod Classic 120GB. I also tested a friend's iPod Touch 8GB (second gen). Therefore I expect it will work with almost any new or old iPod (but check what other reviewers have reported). Because it comes in two separate pieces (an iPod transmitter and a standard Bluetooth receiver with a microphone/headphone connector jack), the pieces can be used either together (iPod to headphones) or separately by transmitting to, or receiving from, other Bluetooth compatible devices like cell phones, remote speakers, home stereos, PCs, etc. A bonus is that you can unplug the included headphones and plug in any standard headphones, iPod speaker systems, or home stereo systems that have a standard headphone jack and/or aux input.
PROS: Can remove the included headphones (they are an in-the-ear design and of only fair quality) and replace with your high quality headphones. Can sync the iPod transmitter to other Bluetooth receivers like speakers, PCs, etc. Can use the receiver/headphone/microphone device with modern bluetooth cell phones (like my unlocked Sony-Ericsson W580i walkman GSM phone). Can recharge receiver either with the included AC adapter or with the included USB cable and your own USB power supply or PC. Unit shuts down automatically if bluetooth connection is terminated, thus saving battery power.
CONS: Receiver battery life is only about 4 hours -- and it takes 3 hours to recharge. As battery gets low, unit cuts out and loses bluetooth connection intermittently (and without warning -- that's how you know it is time to recharge). Panasonic iPod transmitter tends to drain my iPod Classic and Nano (2008 units) down to one-third of normal iPod battery life (8 to 10 hours of iPod music play versus 24 to 30 hours normally). 4 of 5 Great Product for $25!! Saturday, December 20, 2008 ibdpcg from Wisconsin
To answer many "unanswered" questions others have not provided:
WORKS with Iphone 2G + 3G.
WORKS (with provided chargeable bluetooth receiver/remote) with any Ipod, ipod mini, ipod shuffle, or any other mp3 playing device.
For STRICTLY music; this unit is awesome! I paired my iphone 2G & transponder from this set to bluetooth 2.0 stereo headphones on my ski helmet.
Negatives:
-Would not purchase to use as a traditional bluetooth device. Audio for the person you are talking to is poor.
-Syncing this device with stereo bluetooth 2.0 headphones is possible but EXTREMELY difficult. Recommendation: patience, try at least 10 times :)
Would I recommend? DEFINITELY. For $25 this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Meh... Thursday, December 11, 2008 A Customer from Long Island, NY
This drains the battery so quickly. The headphones it comes with are pretty bad and the remote is so flimsy that you end up tracking through the songs when you want to press pause. Good concept, mediocre execution. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Enough Tuesday, December 02, 2008 A Customer from Washington, DC
I bought this to replace my iPod remote as that thing broke. For that purpose, this is a good product. As for using it with my phone, people on the other end complain of a poor quality sound. For the bluetooth phone, I would not recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worth the money Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Shiv from Parlin, NJ
Received the product on the second time, because first time it was lost (Fedex). Thanks to Buy.com for claim approval and they send me the replacement.
Its a good device, easy to configure, easy to use, with IPOD and cell.

3 of 5 It is ok Thursday, August 14, 2008 A Customer from houston, tx
I bought this item for the primarily transmitter. I was and am planning on connecting them to my Motorola S9 headphones. The reason I choose to buy the panasonic RP-BT10WHT, was that the price was similar to other transmitters on the market and the package came with earbuds and a bluetooth receiver.
Here are the flaws with the item:
1. It works with other bluetooth headphones, but sometimes it is hard to get them to connect.
2. The transmitter falls off the ipod often. The plug does not have the hooks that other IPOD adapters have. If you are planning on using this in the gym I would not recommend.
I would recommend the sony bluetooth transmitter. It works much better. I used to own this transmitter until I lost my IPOD. Was this review helpful?
