Special Travel Functions for the Perfect Trip
The Clipboard allows you to take photos of maps, timetables and other travel info. They are saved in a separate folder of the built-in memory to distinguish them from normal photos. You can print titles and other characters on the photos you shoot with the Title Edit and Stamp. This is great for creating your own postcards from a vacation trip. Input your departure date and destination with the Travel Date Setting. Later, during photo viewing, the camera will indicate on which day of the trip each shot was taken and the location.

The new TZ5 is exactly as advertised.
The resolution of the display is amazing.
The new IA function takes great pictures and you can always go to standard mode for manual settings.
Pictures in 16:9 are excellent for todays monitors and display on your widescreen TV.
I decided to wait for the new TZ5 model and it was well worth it.
Best of all Buy.com always has the best price and superfast shipping.
Don't hesitate you will LOVE this camera!

I owned the Panasonic TZ3 for about a year when I spotted this updated version. The only complaint I had about the TZ3 was the inability to zoom when taking videos. I found that I really missed that ability, so when I saw that this updated version now had that ability I couldn't resist making the purchase, and I'm so glad I did. Not only did I gain the ability to zoom, but the new LCD on the TZ5 is really amazing with 420,000 pixels - incredibly sharp. It also now takes true high definition (1280 X 720) videos, has a new Intelligent Auto mode that makes it truly hard to take a bad picture, and is actually slightly smaller than the TZ3. The build quality is excellent, definitely a cut above most digital cameras. And the 10X zoom (which actually optically zooms to 16.7X if you bring the resolution down to 3 megapixels) is something that you get spoiled by very quickly and will wonder how you did without.
Having previously owned Pentax, Casio, Kodak, Samsung, and Canon digital cameras I can honestly say that this is the best digital camera I have owned, and I highly recommend it to both beginners who don't want to be bothered with having to change the settings to get the best pictures, since this camera does that for you, as well as to advanced photographers who just want a small camera that can do almost everything the more expensive (and much bigger) SLRs do with the exception of interchangeable lenses and the ability to do aperture or shutter speed priority. As long as you can live without those things I think you will find that this is one terrific camera. Was this review helpful?
