Purchased this phone several weeks ago to replace an old 5.8GHz unit. The new DECT 6.0 phones have better range, clearer sound, and better battery life.
My only regret is that Panasonic recently announced the KX-TG6444T series. This newer series has ALL the keys backlit, not just the number keys. The screen is also larger and with better contrast. And for about the same price. Was this review helpful?

This set of phones was bought to replace a two year old phone set that failed made by another large phone manufacturer. This phone set was easy to set up and has exceptional features. Especially nice is the ability to block specific phone numbers from caller ID in the future and that the phone book can be updated from any phone to all phones. Sound clarity is also excellent. I don't understand the previous reviews, and why they are agonizing over a wall mount. My toilet didn't come with toilet paper, either, but I don't worry about it, I buy toilet paper. The handset chargers can be wall mounted with 2 screws if you want to mount one/all of those. I prefer the base unit sitting on the desk, so wall mounting isn't an issue. These are great phones. I love the talking caller ID. You know how it is if you wear reading glasses, they are never handy, so it tells you who is calling. The shared phone book is another plus. If I want to enter someone in the phone book, I only need to do it with one handset, not all 4. Great ideas Panasonic. And now, you can get an optional "Back-Up Power Supply" (KX-TCA200) that will power the phones base unit in case of a power outage. This is a great set of phones, and I would reccommend them to anyone.

Overall, this set of phones is easy to set up and easy to use. I have only two complaints, if you want to call them that. First, there's no warning anywhere that there is no wall mount included in the package. In my prior phone package, also from Panasonic, the wall mount was included so there was no reason to expect it to NOT be included with this set. It's further frustrating that BUY.COM does not carry the mount, either (at least I can't find it by searching on the part number and so far, BUY.COM has not returned my email inquiry as to whether they have it or not. Second, the ring tones are limited in quantity, 3 rings and 4 melodies, and what is available, while I can live with them, stink as far as I am concerned. Was this review helpful?
