5 of 5 No More Static On The Line Tuesday, December 02, 2008 Joan from Sacramento, CA
PROS: This phone solved my #1 problem – static and interference on the phone line. I already owned two other older Panasonic phones, but there are unseen forces in my house that interfere with them. When I read another review that said the interference from his wireless network was no longer a problem, I had to have this phone, hoping that that was the same issue I was having. I have more computer equipment in my house than a “normal” person. Plus, a wireless network and a wireless theater surround sound system. I also noticed that every time I put my phone down on the desk in my office, the computer’s sub-woofer underneath it caused the phone to crackle. I no longer have ANY static or interference with these phones. I only wish my cell phone was this clear.
It comes with 1 base station and 2 satellite phones so you only need to have 1 working jack in your house for the base station. Sweet. All phones, including the base station, have a very small footprint.
The numbers on the keypad are very large. Even old eyes like mine don’t need reading glass to dial a number.
CONS: There is no back-lighting on the numbers so you can’t see the keypad in the dark. Also, the speaker, when in speaker phone mode, is on the back of the handset so it faces away from you. I can still hear it ok, but it’s weird.
All in all, I thought this was an outstanding buy for the exceptional quality delivered.

5 of 5 Great portable phones Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Gail from Cambridge, MA
I moved into an old house that had only one phone line so I bought this Panasonic one-phone-line with three phones system. I am very happy with the phones. The ring is loud enough to hear from anywhere in the house. The buttons on the phones are large and well-placed. The phones are sleek amd modern and the sound is excellent. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product! Wednesday, August 06, 2008 A Customer from Oak Ridge, TN
I'm very happy with this multi-handset system. I was shocked to discover I paid less for this 3 handset system with all its features than I paid for one cordless phone with less features 13 years ago!
I really like the small size of the base & the chargers. And its great to have caller ID in the handset instead of needing a separate box.
No opinion on the answering system because still subscribing to voice mail as part of my phone service package. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Deal! Wednesday, July 09, 2008 DB from Washington, DC
I purchased this phone for my 80+ year old parents. My mother had no problem setting it up and figuring out how to use it. Reception is great, except we haven't figured out how to eliminate the feedback that occurs when used with a hearing aid. Anyone else have this problem? Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great features / annoying characteristics Sunday, June 22, 2008 J. Wood from Doylestown, PA
First, the unit that was shipped to me was refurbished, which is odd, since I don't see that anywhere in the description. You may want to buy it elsewhere to make sure you get a new unit. Doesn't seem to make a difference in performance though, the system works.
I bought this handset phone system since my wife and I both have a home office and sometimes need higher quality handsets for phone conferences. So far we have been pleased with most of the features and quality of the audio. It also has good reception to about 50 yards.
One thing that annoyed me was when a friend tried to use the third handset it said "Busy." Apparently you can only use two handsets at a time when conferencing. This is annoying for a system that is supposedly expandable up to 5 units. What is the point when you can only use 2 at a time?
For the price it is a decent buy, keep looking if you need something for more than 2 people. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great phone Saturday, June 21, 2008 jlogan125 from Houston,Texas
My phone line had been damaged some where in the house,so rather then spending a lot of money repairing it, I bought these phones. They work great.I use vonnage and only need one line from the modem. The phone range is great with no interference from other electronics. Great features, easy to set up and at a good price.I am satisfied with these phones and would recommend them to my friends. I can't remember ever owning a poor Panasonic product. Was this review helpful?

This phone is piece of crap at a bargain. You cannot hear a blessed thing the person on the other line is saying. You pay for what you get and it's CRAP. Don't buy it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great phone Monday, January 21, 2008 Robyn from Pittsburgh, PA
Great phone, especially for the price. There are quite a bit of different rings to choose from and the intercom feature is nice for when you are feeling lazy. I am very happy with my purchase! Was this review helpful?

The battery life, lack of interference and range all appear to be as advertised. I really like the expandability feature and the little things like being able to check messages from the handset, paging missing handsets and being able to use the system almost like an intercom. Have had product about 3 weeks now. Very easy to use and set up. Like the large number pad, and the feel of the phone easy to hold. Great having the 50 # phone book. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great phone system Saturday, December 15, 2007 A Customer from Livingston, MT
This system has been great. I really like being able to screen calls from any of the 3 handsets and only needing one phone jack is great. I've been able to put a handset in a room that wasn't previously wired for phone. Build quality seems adequate and reception and signal quality is great. It's a very nice system for the money. I got it for 85.00 with free shipping. Was this review helpful?

These phones are crystal clear. The Dect 6.0 operates at a lower frequency ~1.9 Ghz which doesn't have any computer interference and gives you much greater distance then the 5.8 Ghz phones, since frequency and wavelength are inversely proportional. You can check your answering machine from any of the handsets and you can transfer the saved phone numbers between handsets. One of the best features though is the ability to pick up more than one handset at the same time. Most of these handset systems force you to press a transfer button to alert the other handset and then someone else can pick up. This unit doesn't restrict you that way and it still allows you to use the handsets at intercoms throughout the house. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Nice phones but some minor problems Friday, November 30, 2007 mah from St. Louis, MO
I like the phones and the way you can copy the address book to the various handsets. High volume isn't quite loud enough for the speaker phone, and I hear pretty well! Otherwise, I'd say the sound is clear, no crackling. Nice keypad, decent features. Was this review helpful?

I had an array of cordless phones in my home with assorted features and manufacturers. With time, some broke, others no longer held their charge and discontinued replacement batteries and one was even tone deaf resulting in numerous wrong numbers.
But the oldest unit, a Panasonic I'd purchased 12 years ago, was as reliable as the day I purchased it so I added this KX-TG1033S unit and am amazed at the range, options and price. Three phones and I only need one jack...go figure.
I'm sold on this product. The vendor was superior, as well. Was this review helpful?

Had good cordless phones with no problems til got a wireless router for WiFi DSL Internet access. The squeals and squeeks were horrible. The DECT system has fixed this problem. Nice features include easy copying of entered phonebook data from one handset to the next. The rechargable AAA batteries are another smart move. Setup was easy. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this for my mother about six months ago. My mother, who is 73 years old and visually impaired, has not had any trouble using the keypad with its larger buttons, and she says the telephones are very loud and clear. I tend to agree: they do have exceptional clarity on both ends, and the wireless signal seems immune to outside interference. She also likes the intercom feature, which lets her ring the other handsets in the house if she needs help. Battery life is great. She says she can carry the phone around with her for days and the indicator hardly ever drops below "full", even if she talks a lot. When she had some medical issues the phones got a workout as the rest of the family would call to check on her, and my sister said the battery on one of the headsets dropped to 75% once. Not enough to be a concern.

The only complaint I have about this telephone is that each handset maintains its own directory. If you store a phone number in one handset's directory you won't see it on the other handsets, UNLESS you copy the directory to the other handsets. I'll hand it to Panasonic for at least making that an option, but I think it would make more sense for all the handsets to share one directory, so that you don't have to go through the gyrations of copying the directory to the other handsets each time you update it.

All in all, this is a great product, especially for the price. A little over a year ago I paid almost twice as much for the four-handset version (I bought at a nearby electronics superstore), and near as I can tell my phones do not have any additional features over this set.
5 of 5 Great product Tuesday, November 27, 2007 K. N. from Illinois
The price was good (for 3 handsets), the battery life is EXCELLENT, considering I use the speakerphone feature of this phone for conference calls all the time. The ability to remotely control the answering machine, listen to messages from any handset is also nice. The user-interface is just "ok" for setting up the phone via the handset -- not totally intuitive when pushing buttons to go through the menus. Overall, I'm very happy with this phone which seems to be par for Panasonic products. Just well-designed, and of high-quality. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Overall Sunday, November 04, 2007 A Customer from Long Island, NY
I have always had good experiences with Panasonic cordless phones, and decided to stay with this brand. This three-handset system is nearly perfect. The features, DECT advantages, and performance are excellent. Another nice feature is the use of "AAA" rechargeable NiHD batteries - easily available should replacements ever be needed. No more searching for a difficult to find and overpriced replacement battery pack.
There are only 2 very minor shortcomings: the answering machine does not list the total number of calls (only a messsage indicator light), and the keypads are not lighted. Since the handsets indicate the number of calls, and the keys are large, this is not much of a shortcoming. Overall, this is a great system in features, performance, and value.

This phone does everything I hoped it would. Handsets are clear, distance from the base is excellent and it doesn't interfere with any of the other wireless devices in the house. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 More than I expected! Tuesday, June 26, 2007 Carolyn from Washington State
This set of cordless phones is very easy to use. Very intuitive design and fits the hand comfortably. I find that it knows how to dial both the regular way; dialing after pressing "talk" and getting the dial tone, or by dialing as a cell phone and dialing the number than pressing "talk." The intercom feature is a wonderful feature with clear sound. The speakerphone actually is quite sensitive and easily sits close by while I continue to knit. What else could a person expect of a cordless phone set? Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Panasonic 6.0 series cordless phones Monday, June 04, 2007 linmmm from West Seneca, NY
I learned a long time ago to only buy panasonic phones. They last longer then other brand names. Most websites had the 5.8 series, I wanted to get the newest version since it will be a long time before I buy new phones again. Buy.com also had the cheapest price for them. I like that the phones have an internal antenna. I got the 3 handsets with the answering machine. There is no static and it comes in clear. The only thing I have to get use to is the ring tones I didn't like any of them (there is a variety to pick from.) One other thing, when the phone is on the base it lights up (dim light) but if it is in a bedroom it can be annoying. Was this review helpful?
