I bought this unit to replace my original Panasonic shaver which I bought over 10 years ago (for a lot more than $32.31 by the way). After daily use for 10 years, it finally gave out on me, and it was time for a replacement. Back then, Panasonic shavers were very dominant in the market. For whatever reason, all I could find these days at the stores was Philips Norelco, which is why I signed on to Buy.com and placed an order for this one. Don't waste your money on a Norelco. The fancy 3-head pivot garbage they sell DOES NOT work as well as it seems to in commercials (at least on my beard). And yes, I'm a James Bond fan, and yes, I bought one, and yes, I returned it and went back to using my Panasonic. It's simple, durable, extremely easy to clean, and fully-submersible, meaning you can shave in the shower, or you can simply wash it out under water with no worries about breaking the product or electrocuting yourself. This one is not as fancy as my old Panasonic, as it is a small portable unit that runs on 2 AA batteries, rather than a built-in rechargeable. But this has some advantages too, as it lasts MUCH LONGER than the built-in rechargeable batteries on other shavers, and you don't have to worry about the battery running dead on you while shaving because you forgot to charge it, as you can just pop new ones in and continue to shave. Plus, internal batteries are NiCd and don't last forever, and are difficult and expensive to replace when the finally die. My suggestion, if you want a good all-around shaver, buy this one and a 4-pack of AA NiMH rechargeable batteries and a charger, and enjoy quick hassle-free shaving, wet or dry!
