This is a must have for anyone that has a Palm TX. It is very convenient and works great. Like everyone else says it does have a light in the base that you cannot cut off. I guess they think you are going to work in the dark and will need a night light to find it. The light is actually about as bright as a regular night light.
I just took something and laid it over the top so it wouldn't glow so bad at night when all of the lights are off. Was this review helpful?

It is sad that my Palm TX did not come with a cradle. My first PDA, a Handspring Visor Prism, came with a cradle, but I guess things change. This one on Buy.com is almost half the retail price. Now I have a travel charger and sync cable too since the cradle comes with an AC adapter.
The only thing that I am having trouble getting used to (as different from my Visor) is that the Palm has to click into the cradle rather than use gravity. Also, have to use two hands to be able to get the Palm out of the cradle cleanly (one to hold the cradle down and the other to pull it out.) But these are not show stoppers.
I wish the light in the cradle would only turn on when the Palm is docked, not all the time the AC adapter is connected. Was this review helpful?

Excellent little product. I keep the power cable and USB cable in my travel computer bag, and let this cradle sit on my desktop all the time. Others have complained about the light being on whenever the attached computer is on, but I don't see a problem with this at all. If anything, it looks cool. Was this review helpful?

I have a Palm TX. This was the first handheld that I purchased that didn't have a cradle included with it. So I went on a quest for a cradle. I have purchased two other generic cradles on ebay. I have one for charging the TX overnight next to my bed, one at my computer at home, and then I just had the cradle at work. So I decided to purchase a new cradle for the office. After a snafu with another ebay purchase, I decided to purchase this cradle. It was a little more expensive than the other cradles, but I decided that buy.com would give me a better experience and that it was quite a bit cheaper than buying straight from Palm.
This cradle works great. I haven't had a chance to try the audio-out yet, but the charging and syncing works great. My only complaint about it is that my TX tilts a little to the left in the cradle. I haven't figured out why yet, as this is the only cradle that it happens in. Seems maybe the power plug on the right is a little taller than it should be. Not a big deal and the cradle still works great with my Alu-Leather Flip Cover from Proporta. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this device mainly to have an extra charger for traveling. The cradle works exactly as advertised and is convenient. The only thing I don't like is that the cradle is illuminated and I haven't found a way to turn the light off. I wish it was only on when the PDA was charging, for example. Was this review helpful?

This is the best price I have seen for this product. The base functions perfectly and is a whole lot nicer to have on my desk at work than just laying the T5 down and plugging in the cable. Was this review helpful?
