1 of 5 barely used, rarely work Friday, April 18, 2008
A Customer from Little Rock, AR

I've had two of these now in six months and they rarely work, sometimes you can't get them to power on, other times it powers right up. Absolutely a crap shoot if you'll get one that works or not. This glowing review (5 stars) reminds me of another glowing review I once heeded for a Ford Taurus. Either upgrade or go with a different vendor. They may be a struggling company but apparently they can still afford disdain for their customers.

4 of 5 Does What I Need it to Do Thursday, November 29, 2007
A Customer from Edison, NJ
I haven't yet given in and made the move to a smartphone so when my old Palm died about a month ago, I bought this one.So far so good. It's with me all the time and I use it constantly both for work and in my personal life. It's easy to use and syncs easily with my calendar at work. It might be a disappointment to anyone looking for the latest, greatest, and most expensive electronic gadget (My 19-year old son told me it's not "fun.") but it's fine for the rest of us.

4 of 5 Good Investment Tuesday, August 07, 2007
A Customer from Burnsville NC
Great piece of equipment. This is the first PDA I have owned. It is easy to use, keeps track of the items I need to track. The flip cover is a little disappointing. Let's be honest, for the price of the PDA Palm could give you a protective case instead of selling you one for $30 bucks. Otherwise I am well pleased.

5 of 5 Palm Tungsten E2 Exceeds Expectations Tuesday, June 05, 2007
Dick (dicklewandowski from Tustin, CA
Having retired from the corporate world about 10 months ago, I also retired my 6 year old Pocket PC figuring I would just get back to the simplicity of a small pocket-size paper planner. After all, how complex can retirement be? I was surprised! The constant rescheduling of diverse activities made it difficult to keep apointments and events in mind. Paging through the little notebook to find a specific appointment or event, and the constant erasing and juggling made me wish I had not retired my old electronic scheduler with its text search capability. Since I had used the Pocket PC only for planning and scheduling I decided to buy a non-PC PDA. I started researching the Palm line and ultimately choose the Tungsten E2. After only one day, I was delighted! Intuitive and simple to use as a scheduler, I soon dicovered a host of other features that I tried and found useful. I never thought e-books would be easy to read on a small screen, but they really are. With a 1GB expansion card, the MP3 player works fine for my Opera collection. Audio books from Audible.com play more reliably than they do on my name-brand MP3 player. Photos are bright and easy to view. On a recent two-week vacation, it was the only personal entertainment I needed to take along. Battery life between charges is surprising. On average I recharge every four days and have never completely run out of power in spite of hours of reading, listening to music and playing solitaire. I ordered a second unit for my wife and she too is very pleased. Have had no problems, no dissapointments, nor have we needed to make any compromises. The Tungsten E2 delivers everything its specifications and features promise.

1 of 5 Don't waste your money. Monday, March 26, 2007
Larry Luther from Glendale, CA
I have had 4 palm devices, two have failed out of warranty. The latest my Tungsten E2 had a speaker failure 16 days past the meager 90 day warranty - cost to repair $149 plus $35 web charge (more than I paid). Go look it up yourself. My Tungsten E had a power switch fail within 1 year. The E2 power switch is also starting to fail exactly like the E. My wife's E power switch is starting to fail also. The E2 is a lot slower than the E when sarting/switching apps. I can't afford to buy a new one every year can you? I don't think Palm knows the magnitude of their quality problem because no one bothers to repair out of warranty items. I am never buying Palm again.

5 of 5 Good Value Tuesday, January 30, 2007
A Customer from Tampa, Fl
Last Palm was a Tungsten C which stopped working recently. Bought the Tungsten E2 as a replacement - didn't want to spend the extra money on WI-FI capability. Overall, the E2 has the same capabilities as the Tungsten C with two exceptions, obviously WI-FI is one, and internal memory on the E2 is roughly half of the C. The internal memory issue bugs me somewhat -- newer machines should have significantly more storage than older machines. However, the conduit to transfer files, programs, etc to the SD card works superbly and mitigates the lack of onboard memory. Make you buy a big SD card if you are a power user. Overall, I can recommend the E2 -- but the TX's greater features may be worth the $$.

5 of 5 I love my PDA!!! Sunday, February 12, 2006
Shirley from Port Huron, Michigan
I am a first time PDA user, and I love my new toy! It is keeping me very organized, between work, home, church and community involvement, I know just what I need to do at all times. I synch it every day so I won't lose anything if I lose my PDA (I pray that won't happen!). My family loves it too, and I am about to gift one of my daughters with her own. She has a new job in sales. Thanks so much for a great product.

4 of 5 The return of an old friend Wednesday, February 08, 2006
JPP from Sleepy Hollow, NY
I have always been a palm fanatic. I've had just about every palm pilot from the m515 and before. A few years ago, I went with the Sony Clie UX50, sucked in by the hype and the bells and whistles. Big mistake. Licking my wounds, and after a long time being PDA-less, I settled on the Tungsten E2. It's a great little machine. I have no big complaints about it, but I do have a few little ones. First off, the glossy silver body looks nice, but it shows up every single fingerprint you've ever laid on it. The 515's brushed silver body did a better job of looking classy and clean. Furthermore, I am tired of tech companies trying to milk you for every single dollar by making their cables and connectors proprietary. I got extremely annoyed when I saw my friend's Tungsten E, which used a normal power cable and a normal USB connector. Other than that, the E2 is a terrific little pda.

5 of 5 Great organizational tool! Tuesday, January 17, 2006
Michele from Willis, MI
I got this for Christmas. This is my 1st PDA, so I have nothing to compare it to. It does way more than I'll ever need it to do. It is easy to use and easy to learn how to use. It is really handy to have around and has many good uses. I would recommend this product and BUY.COM to anyone who is interested in a new PDA. THANKS Palm & Buy.com.

5 of 5 I love this PDA! Friday, October 28, 2005
A Customer from Baltimore, MD
This is my first PDA. After much thought and comparison shopping, I decided on the Tungsten E2. I am very satisfied. I didn't want anything too complicated, but the main objective was just to be organized. I found this PDA very easy to learn to use. I am using it everyday for my calendar, tasks, and just to jot down notes. I love the notepad feature because it will prevent me from having so many sticky notes all around. The battery life is great. The flash memory is wonderful to know that I won't use my data. There is more for me to do and learn on this product, but from what I've seen so far, I am impressed. Also, this is the best price around, PALM's manufacturer's suggested price is $199.

5 of 5 Great deal. Sunday, August 21, 2005
rowca from Falls Church, VA
A Tungsten E2 for anything less than $200 is a great deal. It does everything you expect a Palm to do but a bit better. I have owned mine for over two months and am very pleased I graduated from the Tungsten E, have owned Handspring/Palm products since 1999. The E2 provides better resolution, battery life and more importantly Bluetooth capability over the Tungsten E model. Thus you have connectivity to both your Bluetooth enabled Cell and Computer. For those inclined you can also use PalmOne's Wi-Fi card for internet access. I use the capability to verify the internet availability and access before I break out my computer.

5 of 5 i love this thing! Thursday, August 04, 2005
kristen from new york, ny
my first palm - and i love it! took a long time going back and forth about whether to get one or not, and if so, which one to get. when i saw the E2 and its features and the price, i knew it couldnt be beat. Does everything i want, without the stuff i dont want. As a first time Grafitti user, i am not sure why everyone complains about it - i am finding it relativly easy to use.

5 of 5 So Awesome Monday, July 18, 2005
A Customer from Seattle, WA
This PDA is awesome. A huge step up from my palm m105. The screen is briliant. The memory is sufficently large. The sound is great, especially with headphones. All you need is the software. I use it at a checkbook register and pocket tunes is a must if you use it as a music player. I was also considering a T5 and the Life drive but I chose this model because of its cost, weight, battery life, and speed.
