    This official Treo charging cradle with 2nd battery compartment is much better than low-cost knockoffs, some of which don't even have sync buttons. (You can still sync them, but you have to use the Treo's HotSync app.) The Treo fits neatly and solidly into the cradle, and the sync button reliably initiates a HotSync. The extra-battery compartment is elegantly designed for easy access and firm connection for charging a spare battery, and the charging indicator on the front clearly tells you when the battery's ready for use. The solid feel of all the components is a refreshing change from the flimsy construction of some 3rd-party devices (one of which I just tossed after getting this Palm unit).

    Palm did a terrible job designing a connector for the TREO 650. I was continually having to play with my cable and phone to make a good connection for syncing & charging. With the cradle I slide it in and voila! A perfect connection everytime. Save yourself the aggrevation and get the cradle. Don't hesitate on this one as it's a good product and well worth the extra $. Happy Palming!
